Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The moment we walked into the condo the view from the all the windows and 4th floor balcony took our breath away! The condo has a clean modern feel and all the windows with the ocean view is stunning. Beds and bathrooms comfortable. Sleeping with the sound of the waves was amazing! The condo is perfectly situated and walking distance to little grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shop and cenote.

This was such an incredibly beautiful place for our family of 6 to stay. We loved being able to walk straight down to the beach, and we were often the only people on the beach by the apartment. It was quiet and the apartment itself was convenient for preparing our own meals and relaxing with its beautiful view.

Amazing condo

This property is right in the middle of half moon bay. Very clean. Beach chairs available. It is in a gated community with security at most condos all night. Resturaunts and bars convenient store close by with very good food. We absolutely loved our stay. 5 stars all around except the bed is hard and in the living eoom the ceiling on top floor leaks a bit but it didnt bother us at all. We would definitely come back! We dont want to leave.

A bit of a struggle with four flights of stairs normally not a concern, however I am awaiting a left knee replacement surgery. You need not be an athlete yet it does require fair amount of stairs. Generally I would want to stay here again once healed & stronger.

Wonderful vacation rental!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in early January, and were extremely happy with the unit. The place was very clean and comfortable. The view was spectacular! Everything we needed was a short walk from the unit, great restaurants, mini mart, etc. The only issue we encountered (which really wasn't a big deal), was the water pressure in the showers. We have found this to be a common issue with anyplace we have rented in Mexico that's on city water and sewer system. Unless you stay on a large resort with their own water treatment system, this is commonplace. We will definitely be back!

The views of Halfmoon Bay were amazing. The beach was racked daily and seaweed picked up. There was always lounge chairs available.We had maid services every other day. Which was perfect. Having a concierge was so helpful. David answered all our questions and helped find day trips for us. The only minus was how hard the beds were and the drains in the showers took a very long time to drain. Very minor complaints. The only thing I wish is that we could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous Quiet Remodeled Condo on Half Moon Bay

The condo has been recently updated and was beautiful and airy and clean, just like the photos and description. The AC units worked great on the hot days. The provided drinking water was appreciated. The power went out for a few hours when we were there which we knew was a possibility, but it did not cause us any problems. We cooked multiple times and enjoyed using the kitchen. We also spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the view. It was close to lots of great experiences--snorkeling, scuba, monkey sanctuary, Tulum, etc. The restaurant right down the road was great to have in walking distance. Every time we communicated with the team at Akumal Direct we received prompt and helpful replies. We were delayed and ended up needing a late check in, but that went smoothly. We would definitely recommend this suite!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have stayed at Luna Azul many times and always been pleasant....not this time. As Akumal Direct now seems to have a monopoly on half moon bay the prices keep going up remarkable quick with no apparent correlation to quality of accommodations. This unit was tired and in need of upgrade with tiny bathrooms and showers. I only had one warm shower in 3 days and all my showers the water barely tricked out of the shower head. The bed was old and hard as a rock. Comfort foam mattresses are inexpensive now and fit most peoples comfort levels. The seaweed is rough but that is mother nature not property owners while quality of the units and basic comfort is

A great stay in the middle of Half Moon Bay

You can't eat the location for snorkelling, swimming and beach access.The place needs a day with a handyman to fix the minor repairs needed to the bathroom fixtures (taps, mirrors) The unit is more suitable for a family of four than two adult couples - one couple gets a bigger room with closest and the other gets a smaller room with shelves. The close proximity to restaurants and grocery was nice. Excellent view. Air conditioning works very well. The cleaners who come every day to pick up your toilet paper were good. Beds are extremely firm (mattress on a concrete slab.The plates, cups, glasses and wine glass selection was minimal. If you broke one you have no back ups.
