Wonderful place - wonderful stay.

We are a family of four and had a great five day stay. The place is just as described and pictured - beautiful oceanfront views (despite sargasso seaweed), very clean small pool just feet away, warm, peaceful and inviting home with a bright and cheerful Mexican vibe. Several guests/families were close by, though there was a nice, mellow communal feel.

Akumal stay

Great spot to relax and enjoy the beach

Clean, nicely decorated and right on the beach. Maids and gardener kept it clean and were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Lovely property with amazing view

We just loved staying here for 3 nights. The apartment is beautiful with comfortable beds and all the things you need to do breakfast at least. The view is spectacular and there are plenty of sunbeds. The pool is small but nice and clean. I highly recommend this condo.

Great place! Great condo with swimming pool and beach. A little noisy like many concrete buildings in Mexico (noise of chairs or neighbors' doors). Great beach for snorkeling. Private and secure road with some super nice little restaurants around. Akumal, one last secret gem of the Yucatan!

Perfect Location in Akumal

I judge my stays mostly on the quality of furniture in the home. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which made sleeping amazing! The place was very well cleaned, even had a maid eash day who would clean every surface. The location is perfect as its super close to two restaurants and also anout a 10 minute walk to the main town. The favilities were well kept and you cant beat a first floor unit by the pool and beach. Would stay in this location again!

Directly beachfront

In a very nice location on Half Moon Bay, it is right on the beach which was fanstastic, just step out the patio and start swimming. The place was slightly dated but had a mexican charm about it, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbors directly next to you and above you. It was okay, as they all quieted down in the evening so you can sleep. I would stay there again.

We enjoy our stay immensely. The condo has a nice Mexican style & comfortable beds. I hate traveling to another country to stay in a room that looks just like any USA hotel room. The was a large amount of seaweed there is no doubt the view would be nicer without it but we enjoyed sitting on the loungers under the palapa, feeling the sea breeze and listening to the waves. We walked a very short distance down the beach to where the seaweed was very light and snorkeled for hours. We rented bicycles next door and rode to near by restaurants and other activities. We had the most relaxing few days.

Amazing beachfront location!

The unit was spotless and very well stocked. The kitchen was a bit tight with very high cupboards The barstools are too high to use for dining on the island and there is no dining table. The daily maid service was a nice touch and they were very friendly. The rest of the unit was spacious and well laid out. The only noise you hear from other units is the scratching of chairs across the tile floors but that is very common over all Mexico. WiFi was great! The location is spectacular ...right on the ocean...with a lovely common area in a small condominium complex. The owner is extremely helpful and was in constant contact with us to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you Crissy! I would highly recommend staying in this wonderful unit and hope to visit again.

Wonderful

I can honestly say we had an amazing vacation at this property. One never knows when you book on line and when we first arrived I worried it was a bit far from the main square. But that ended up being a plus point. Renting bikes next door at Del Sol solved that problem. The condo #3 is a ground floor walk out… perhaps 5 steps to the pool, another couple to beach loungers ( bonus the 3 of us never felt the need to reserve our chairs) and another few steps down to waters edge! The sunrises were spectacular. We loved the colorful condo and our host Crissy, was quick to respond to any of our needs. It’s spacious, well appointed and such a treat to have daily maid service who was a total sweetheart. You need water shoes to enter the water but then you have the bay almost to yourself , two reefs and lovely warm shallow water that was great to snorkel. In contrast to ‘Turtle Bay ‘ in tourist area. Roped off turtle ‘experiences’ way to touristy for our liking. We had lovely bars and restaurants in walking distance or we rode 5 mins to the main area by the arches. We all love Pickleball which we played across the hwy in Akumal Pueblo under the Doma. A 15 min bike ride and well worth a visit. The colorful murals are plentiful and food and drink much cheaper here. We also ride to the hwy locked up our bikes and caught collectivos to explore nearby towns and get groceries from the Chedroui at Puerto Adventuras. Just know it’s quiet, 9 pm is closing time in Akumal.
