Accueil pour deux VINational garer à l'intérieur - à pied des plages à proximité

LE NID de HAWKS est une petite maison de belle facture avec un emplacement idéal sur une propriété privée à l'intérieur des frontières des États-Unis Parc national des Îles Vierges et à distance de marche de cinq plages différentes. Les plages de la Côte-Nord Hawksnest, Gibney, Denis, Jumbie et Trunk Bay sont tous à une distance de marche de 10-20 minutes. Pour plus d'activité, les courts de tennis, spa, plages et restaurants de la célèbre Caneel Bay Resort sont également sur la Côte-Nord, et Cruz Bay est à dix minutes en voiture.

Perché au milieu des arbres de 97 pieds au-dessus Hawksnest Bay, la maison regarde à travers l'eau à Caneel Bay Resort et plus à l'ouest au coucher du soleil sur Saint- Thomas et d'autres hors-îles. Profitez de la vue à trois côtés de la greatroom pour observer les oiseaux volent par pendant le petit déjeuner. It is hard to describe how perfect our experience was with the warm and welcoming owners and hosts. Everything we could possibly need was there and ready for us. It is also hard to describe breathtaking beauty of this property. Even after six nights, waking up to the view and sound of the ocean was truly magical. True perfection all around, I wish I was still there!

Joey and Polly were extremely welcoming and helpful. Joey even met me at Starfish Market, and led me to the villa. She was always quick to respond to any question or problem. And she gave me some local tips to make my hiking and snorkeling more fun. I could see that the host went the extra mile to provide snacks and drinks to make my stay more enjoyable. The villa itself was perfect for me. I loved seeing that view every breakfast and every evening. They provide nearly everything you could want: gas grill, snorkels/fins, a comfortable bed, outdoor shower, and a much appreciated plunge pool. But the best part was the close proximity to Oppenheimer Beach. A quick 8 minute walk, and you're there. No parking, no hassles, just a paradise beach (almost) to yourself. I'm "homesick" for the Villa already, but I know I'll be back!

Wonderful stay

My spouse and I have been wanting to stay here for a few years. Only regret is that we waited this long. Adorable cottage with unbeatable views in a convenient location - reasonably close to town but felt very remote. The property managers were great. Wouldn't change a thing. We'll be back.

Pack nothing but your swimsuit! This place has it all!

Lucky you if you get to stay at this glorious home overlooking Hawksnest Bay, it’s a stunning house and the owners and hosts have taken every step to ensure you have an amazing stay!There is almost everything you can think of for a great vacation waiting for you at the cottage, towels, yoga mats, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and toys. Coffee and olive oil and a good selection of spices (you might want to grocery shop after you take inventory), all right here. All you have to do is kick back and enjoy!!

5+ STAR PROPERTY

The absolute perfect place for 2 couples. Each has their own completely private space. The plunge pool had a beautiful sun umbrella with 4 lounge chairs where we also enjoyed viewing the stars, and St Thomas at night. The kitchen had everything we needed for creating beautiful meals: the grill was the bomb for the fresh yellowfin tuna we were able to get through our AMAZING hosts. Jennifer and Joey were there for our every need. They picked us up at the ferry dock, lead us to the house, showed us around and got us settled right away. The entire experience exceeded our expectations! Can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Spectacular

The property is literally perfect. I'm a builder, and I couldn't think of anything I would have done differently. My wife and I were there for a week on our honeymoon. Every detail of this remote, serene setting is perfect. Set above such a beautiful bay, the views are amazing. And at night, the only lights you'll see are the stars. Having this type of solitude with being so close to town (10 minutes) is ridiculous. Literally once you drive out of Cruz Bay, you enter the Virgin Islands Nat'l Park. And Polly's house is a mere 10 minute drive. Just go, as everyone says. Your expectations will be surpassed.

Fall in Tropical Paradise

We made a spur of the moment trip to St. John in early October when other vacation plans fell through. How lucky we were that Hawksnest Cottage was available! The weather and water temps were sunny and warm. The island was welcoming and uncrowded, with ample restaurants open. And the home, owner and property manager ensured a dream trip. The cottage is beautifully constructed, with high quality finishes and furniture. Many thoughtful touches above and beyond the accurate and detailed listing description, such as beach umbrellas, reusable water bottles and gallons of purified drinking water, plus a well-stocked kitchen with even a knife sharpener. The cottage is completely private, screened, and is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and the sounds of nature. Location is perfect. Short drive to Cruz Bay and the lovely North Shore Beaches and trails. Amazing sunset views. Both the owner and Property Manager provided prompt and ample information and met our every need. Highly recommend this special property!

Dream Home

Hawksnest Cottage was an absolute dream! Like others have mentioned the pictures don’t do it justice. The home and view are stunning. The pool and lounge area were larger than we expected. The landscaping was gorgeous. We never even turned on a tv or music and instead just listened to the sounds of nature. The location was great, close to many beaches some even walkable. We took the trail down to the two close by beaches. It was only about a ten minute drive to town. The home was well equipped with everything you would need. There was even a welcome gift of fruit, snacks, and drinks when we arrived! The owner was great with communication and the property managers provided top notch support prior to and during the stay. They provided information on groceries, restaurants, local activities, and even helped us connect in order to set up in-home massages. They definitely went above and beyond! We hope to stay at Hawksnest Cottage again!

Hawksnest Heaven!

I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say - From start to finish this place is absolute perfection! The pictures really don't do it justice, plus the hosts/property managers are extremely kind and attentive. The house is virtually spotless and stocked with just about everything you could need. In fact, we canceled all of our dinner reservations just to spend more soaking in all of the views! It truly was an amazing honeymoon, and we can easily say the house was the best part :)

Privacy Perfection!

This was a special trip for us as we were celebrating my retirement from a 38 yr career as an ICU nurse. I almost cried while Joey was showing us around this spectacular home. While we didn't need her, Joey was available and awesome. We have stayed in some fabulous places but this place takes top prize. I am particular about clean and this place was spotless from window sills to corners. The sunset view from the plunge pool was spectacular and we loved the screened in porch where we had daily breakfast. The best beaches in our opinion were Denis and Gibney/Oppenheimer. Both were within walking distance from the house. We are grateful the owners share this home with others through VRBO. We can’t wait to return when I let my husband retire :) in 2026.

Incredible stay at Hawksnest

Spent Thanksgiving week in Hawksnest Cottage and it was incredible. The cottage is stunning, beautifully designed and equipped for everything. The views, the sunsets, the only sounds you hear are the waves crashing and the varied sounds of all the wildlife. We had great communication with the owners, and the property manager Jen was great, she knows her stuff and will make sure your time is well spent. What an amazing property and I am grateful I was able to experience it, St John and Hawksnest Cottage are a great way to detox from life for a bit. Highly recommend!!

We bought the property in 2015 from the couple who first built the cottage mostly by hand themselves. We fell in love with Hawksnest immediately, because it so closely re-created our previous vacations at Maho Bay, one of the Caribbean's first eco resorts: spectacular views; walking distance to the island's most beautiful beaches; surrounded by national park. But the house needed TLC. After a season of renovations in 2016, the cottage was beautifully-restored, only to be almost destroyed by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Now, with irrational investments of time, money and love, Hawksnest Cottage has been fully restored again, welcoming guests who appreciate the beauty of the national park and the minimal environmental footprint of green design.
Hosting is hard work, for us and for our wonderful property managers, but we all enjoy making it possible for people to experience the beauty of St. John, sometimes for the first time and often as return guests. It gives us pleasure that Hawksnest Cottage is a place where people can mark special milestones in their lives, or simply rest, enjoy and appreciate.

We have travelled many places but there is something about St. John…its natural beauty protected because of the Virgin Islands National Park. The beaches are world class, the people friendly, the hiking trails varied, and the water so incredibly pleasant. When Maho Bay Camps closed, we thought we would return to St. John as renters, unless we found a small house surrounded by Park on the North Shore. Lo and behold….
Although we are not (yet) full time USVI residents, we've come back so often to this special place that it feels like home. To be able to own a simple but elegant place close to incredible beaches without a house in sight, yet near to town, is a dream come true.

The cottage offers a unique combination of elegant comfort with open-air living, connected to nature. The design of the house gives guests intimacy with the spectacular beauty of Hawksnest Bay and the hills surrounding it, maximizing the use of screens and the ability to enjoy meals or drinks or reading from a variety of locations around the house and decks. The infinity pool--accessed by bridge from the living room--makes it tempting never to leave, but there is so much to explore on St. John! You can rent a car if you like (most do), but we love the fact that you can walk to several beaches and that you can hop a shuttle to Cruz Bay so easily. Simple living... and a wonderful break from your normal routines.
