Home sweet home!

The house has an airy welcoming feel. It’s completely updated. The kitchen is where we all gather and as a cook, I loved the very large island. The yard is spacious and my little pomeranian ran wild and free. The kids played soccer. The beds were clean and comfy. Both bathrooms have double sinks so we can get ready faster. Tv and sofa is large, so it was great for our family movie night. Home is only 4 min to the beach so we ubered or lyfted to and from. It’s also conveniently located near Publix and all of Marco Islands restaurants and stores. Sarah is an amazing host and very accommodating. She is personable and communicative. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful home on yellow bird street!!!

Great property! Close to everything in Marco. This is the perfect place to spend a nice, cozy family vacation. Big rooms, new kitchen, nice TV’s and streaming services are all ready to go. And the best by far, the hosts. Sarah abs George made our stay so much more satisfying. They listened to our requests and made sure you had the best time in the house. Definitely will come back. 5/5 stars for them. Different from other more expensive places, they make sure you have a nice, worry free stay.

House Needs Attention

While the property description states it has been "updated", the current state of the home is poor and it needs cleaning and maintenance. The living room rug was filthy; upholstery of kitchen chairs was soiled, and the upholstery of the patio furniture was very dirty; the tile floor is stained and needs deep cleaning. The guest bathroom has paint peeling from walls and ceiling. The front/back yards were just weeds. The overall appearance of the property is very used and unkempt. The communication with Host was good, though we only had a couple of questions regarding garbage disposal and the use of the TV system (which was not very user friendly and had limited listings). The house had a lot of dead ants lining all the baseboard of the rooms; it was especially bad in the master bathroom. The ants were dead suggesting that the house had been fumigated which people with chemical sensitivities should be warned of. The location was fine, though the street is busy as it serves as a cut-through from one main street to another. I would not rent this property again.

Charming neighborhood

We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing stay in your cute home. We were an easy bike ride to the beach and an easy walk to several dog-friendly restaurants. Mackle Park’s farmers market was an easy walk for us, too. Our dog loves the treats you left for him! Thank you for a nice stay!!

Comfortable stay at Sarah's property

Sarah was a good host to rent from. She made sure we had a comfortable at her property. She was really helpful to make sure that we had internet since there was no internet when we checked in. She got on the phone with Comcast and got it fixed.

Very nice property! Only a few miles from the beach, with restaurants and stores nearby. Sarah and George were so kind, and took time out of their busy schedule to help us find the local TV channels, as we were trying to familiarize ourselves with the streaming app! We would definitely recommend!

Everything was very clean. My only complaint was the energy inefficiency of the doors and windows which made it impossible to temperature control the house. More ceiling fans would be helpful as well.

Reasonably Priced Macro Island Rental House

House has plenty of room. Kitchen is a bit low on cooking supplies. Rental rate is in line with location, short drive to beach access. TV service is not what one would expect for a suburban home.

Simple and Clean Home (Ask Questions)

This home is very clean, nicely updated and a good location to shopping needs. It is however, very basic. There are things that we needed to purchase (spatulas and measuring cups; which we left there) for cooking with a family for a week. There were not enough washcloths for all 5 of us. They did provide extra laundry detergent and small amounts of kitchen supplies. You will need to bring whatever you need/want or clarify with the owner before you come! No games, paper, pens, beach extras (which we normally have at rentals). The owner WAS very responsive when I asked for location of hairdryer (she had none and had one delivered the next day! There was construction on our street for the whole week of our stay (noise starting after 7am); owner didn’t give us a warning before we booked. The construction isn’t her fault but communication/choice would have been preferable. Overall, it’s a really cute home! Just make sure you read clearly and ask for clarity on your needs of the space!

Would 100% stay here again

We had a lovely time for the month on Marco Island. Home was clean and perfect for us. Great location- short drive to the beach and Mackle park (which we absolutely loved). We brought our dogs and they had a great time sun-bathing in the fenced yard. Sarah was great and very quick to respond with any requests. We had some minor trouble with the AC and Sarah got a technician to come out right away and fix the problem. We would absolutely stay here again! Can’t wait to come back!

Nice place to stay with pets!

We came down to Marco for a few days with our 2 small Morkies. The house was very clean and a nice fenced in yard. Sarah, who owns and manages the property, was very hospitable! We love our dogs and some places say they are pet friendly, but they really are not. Sarah made us and our furry friends feel right at home! There was some road construction going on while we were there, but unless you are traveling there soon, it may not be a factor at all. In any event, we were able to get in and out of the place and it looks like a lot of the work has been done.

Thank you so much for your interest in our cute beach house. We have owned this home for 17 years. My husband I met in Marco Island in 1994 when we were just kids! Me, 19 years old from England and my husband George from NYC! What a match! We've had so many great memories on the island and it holds a special place in both our hearts. We called this house, home for 5 years and raised our daughter here until it was time to move to something bigger. We love this house - its got a great vibe and welcoming feel - I am sure you will feel it
