Ist stop of our trip to Costa Rica

WOW. If you're looking for the most beautiful place on earth here it is. Our hosts Nathalie and Yannick were wonderful!This property is amazing. The Bungalows are stunning! 5* quality. Beautiful pool and grounds. They make an AMAZING breakfast and give the best advise on where to go based on what you want to do. HIGHLY recommend this place. ITS BEAUTIFUL!!

Tranquility in nature.

I had the pleasure of staying here only for one night but enjoyed it thoroughly. Hosts are very nice and take amazing care of their property. The rooms are very clean and fit and finish are top notch. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place with lovely hosts!

We throughly enjoyed our 4 days stay at Baliyana. Our hosts were just charming and we loved conversing in French, Spanish and English! The air conditioning in the room worked perfectly and the water for the shower was hot with good strength. Breakfast each morning was delicious. This place is a gem, and our only regret was that we never took the chance to dip in the pool. We highly recommend this delightful slice of heaven. Merci beaucoup y muchos gracias and thank you! Oh, and by the way, we are keen birders and of the 6 new birds we have seen since arriving back in Costa Rica, 4 of them were in the gardens of Baliyana!

Amazing

We only were able to stay one night, but it was amazing. If we had more time we would have loved to stay longer! If you use the “get directions” option from this listing it will take you right to it. The road getting there was totally fine. Nathalie and Yannick were wonderful hosts. 10/10

Slice of heaven

Just finishing up with our 2 night stay here and we wish we could stay more. It is beautiful. From the well maintained garden with tropical flowers to the stunning view over looking the pool with howler monkeys in the distance that can be seen and heard make it hard to leave. And I’ve never seen so many stars at night! The host have been helpful and friendly and serve a lovely breakfast with another great view. The roads are bumpy but this was our last stop in Costa Rica so we were used to it and had no problem. We can’t wait to come back! Book now you won’t be disappointed!

Secluded Oasis - Baliyana Lodge - Dylia Bungalow

Wow, wow, wow! This was actually my very-first-ever VRBO booking... and it will be remembered until my dying days! Here's what you can expect... 1) you will think you are going the wrong way as you wander uphill along the bumpy, muddy, curving road, 2) just before you arrive, you will be certain that you are lost and should turn around, 3) you will fear that you are too far from civilization and are at risk, and then 4) you will pull into the driveway of a perfectly manicured oasis! It truly is magical! You will laugh at yourself for worrying. And then you will realize that the sketchy drive into the mountains was required to obtain the beauty in front of you. Here's what you will find... 1) wife / husband owners who live on-site 2) their residence and a quaint front-porch al fresco dining spot for breakfast, 3) an infinity pool that feels like you are living in a Hollywood movie... set aside from the other structures, and facing a rainforest vista *just like in the pictures*, 4) three delightful and comfortable bungalows *just like in the pictures*, 5) painstakingly maintained grounds, expansive and lush with a canopy of towering trees, tropical plants, flowers, and neatly organized ground-cover, and 6) abundant wildlife; parrots, howler monkeys, etc. When I was there, I happened to be the only guest... and I could have stayed there forever! I was seated in the lap of tropical luxury!!! A few helpful notes: 1) plan to arrive *before* sunset and you will need an SUV / truck to reach this location -- a 4-wheel drive is probably necessary if you visit in the rainy season, 2) the WiFi is fast (which is counterintuitive given the remote location, 3) you are 40 minutes from a "real" grocery store in Tamarindo, but only 15 minutes from a sundries store in Pinilla, 4) the owners are splendid, wonderful, kind souls, but be prepared to have a translator option (maybe an app?) to communicate (their native language is French), and 5) make sure to have WhatsApp installed before your trip since that is the easiest way to communicate with the owners. Friends, you will not be disappointed. If you envision a quiet, private retreat, an escape from this hectic world, a sabbatical from the agony of modern life's pace, this property is a slice of heaven on Earth. Book it! Go! Be transported to this "Secluded Oasis" in the mountaintop canopy of the Costa Rican rainforest!!! ENJOY BALIYANA LODGE!!!!!

Heavenly Stay in the Jungle

We stayed at this property for 2 nights only. We got lost on our way there and Yannick came to meet us and drive us back to the property. When we got there, we got a very friendly welcome from Nathalie and Yannick. The cabin we stayed in was gorgeous and very clean (congratulations to them for building it). The pool area was extremely beautiful and it is perfect to watch the sunset with a close view of the jungle. Breakfast was also included and was delicious. We had an activity early in the morning and they offered to prepare breakfast earlier than usual to accomodate us. Nathalie and Yannick are the perfect hosts.

Beautiful gateway in rural Costa Rica

The property was absolutely beautiful with flowers, an infinity pool, and nice cabins. The hosts were incredibly kind and hospitable, showing us around and making us a delicious breakfast that was included in the cost. The bed was very comfortable. It was a bit of a hike to get there and the roads are in rough condition, but if you're looking for a remote gateway this is a beautiful place to stay and very reasonably priced.

Lovely oasis in the hills

This property has such a lovely energy. Super cute rooms and the breakfast was so yummy. Hosts were great and seem super happy and friendly. Perfect for couples. Would recommend renting a vehicle if you plan to leave the property as its a little far which gives it the charm.
