Herbies Hideaway, situé à Sweet Valley, PA est une belle maison de quatre chambres avec cuisine complète, salle de bain et salon avec chauffage central et climatisation. Il est situé sur 70 acres boisés très privés donnant sur le ruisseau Huntington. Il est idéal pour des vacances en famille ou pour les pêcheurs et les chasseurs. Vous ferez l'expérience d'une atmosphère paisible et calme, sans bruit, sans foule et sans trafic. Nous acceptons les animaux. Il s'agit d'une installation sans fumée. Notre cuisine comprend réfrigérateur, cuisinière, micro-ondes, cafetière, grille-pain, ustensiles de cuisine, vaisselle, argenterie, sel / poivre, épices, café, sucre et crémier en poudre. Une chambre est équipée d'un lit queen, les trois autres ont des lits doubles et toutes ont une horloge, un placard ou une commode. Les seules choses que vous devez apporter sont vos propres draps, serviettes et nourriture. À l'extérieur, vous trouverez un gril à charbon, un foyer, une table de pique-nique, une balançoire et une terrasse. 2 animaux par séjour sont autorisés avec un 10 $. 00 par animal et par nuit. Pleasant stay

A great family place

My daughter and I had a great birthday trip with my grandsons. It is close to Rickett’s Glen, well furnished with comfy couches and beds and a big round kitchen table. There’s a stream right behind the house and a covered picnic area.

Lovely Escape in the Woods!

If you are looking to get away, the is the place to go. Completely remote, but still accessible with a normal vehicle. Herbie's is clean, and exactly as advertised, and Marie is a wonderful host.

Golf trip

5 of us stayed at the house for a golf trip to Mill Race. The house is roomy and comfortable. The yard and fire pit were perfect for playing cornhole, and hanging out by the fire.

Perfect getaway for peace and quiet

This property is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy some peace and quiet. Marie was one of the most responsive hosts I've experienced and was available for any questions we had. Take a walk in the woods, fish from the creek or enjoy the cozy warmth of the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again.

Great remote place

Very clean vintage place. No dust, no cobwebs, no funky smells, has central air, and Dish TV. Set far back from the road - surrounded by woods/creek on all sides. Great place to take dogs. Less than five minute drive to Ricketts Glen. Friendly and responsive host.

Dated hideaway

Marie is the sweetest host! She gave an overview of everything in the house and even looked up local attractions for us. We were looking for a place to unplug and that is exactly what we got. The interior is dated but well kept and like walking back in time. My one complaint would be that only 1 bed was comfortable. Overall a lovely stay!

Perfect hideaway!

We had a great time at Herbie's Hideaway! The dog enjoyed playing in the creek and walking around the property every day. We loved how close Rickett's Glen was and had a great time checking out the waterfalls. The rooms were spacious and the couches were comfortable. Could use more lighting in the bathroom, but that's just a minor request. Marie and Rich were great hosts and easy to communicate with. Looking forward to coming back!

So much fun!

I would say Marie’s house is a rustic cabin. It was very clean and had plenty of room. There is a nice round table in the kitchen and we played games. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living room. The outside was very beautiful at the house. We had a great time hiking at Ricketts Glen. There is a nice little brewery called Five Mountain in Shickshinny PA. The food there was great and the people were nice. It was a really nice trip. Thank you Marie!

Perfect getaway for our golfing foursome biannual trip

Marie was a perfect host! She met with me promptly at the property and gave me a quick tour of the amenities available and house rules. No issues with our stay and each guest having their own large bedroom worked out perfectly. Being off the grid from cellular access was a concern at first, but was a blessing in disguise as it kept everyone off their phones and interacting with one another like we used to and days back. One in our group had enough signal for an occasional phone call on Verizon.

Great location near Ricketts Glen

The owners are very friendly and helpful. I was very happy that I could bring my dog. We really enjoyed that we could have all the activities of camping (cooking out, building a fire, dark starry sky, woods to explore a bit, the sound of the creek) but sleep in real beds and have access to a full kitchen and our own bathrooms. The satellite tv was a nice treat for the kids the one afternoon it rained. The property is very private and extremely quiet. We were happy there was AC if we needed it, which we really didn’t even in July, being in the mountains. Bring bug spray:)

Babbling Brook In The woods.

Travel down a winding country road. Turn unto a single lane, then make a left unto Herbie's Hideaway. A very unique rental beside a babbling brook. The property is fantastic, Picnic Pavilion, swing set, fire pit and the fore mentioned brook. Makes for a very relaxing experience. Spotty cell phone and no wifi makes this rental perfect for getting away from it all and doing what you paid for (relaxing). Close to Tunkhannock, Wilkes barre, Leighton. Jim Thorpe. Great "Home Base". Can't wait to get back there.

Hideaway in nature

Herbies hideaway says it all. You are hidden back in nature. But with limited cell service (att) it was nice knowing Rich and Marie were close by if something happened. Making sure your stay is everything you wanted is their top priority. I didn't even need to leave the property it had all I was looking for. Solitude in nature. Saw deer everyday with the sound of the creek in the back. Outdoor shelter when shade was needed and a great firepit. Thank you Rich and Marie for sharing your hideaway with me.
