The Rock at Lake Granbury-lakeside country charm.

You'll really enjoy this quiet little place on the water of Lake Granbury. It's intimate, fully equipped and has spectacular views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Sunsets are truly remarkable! Sleeps 3. Recline outside to relax, cook delicious meals in the full gas kitchen, converse/read n the small bedroom/stting room . . . all while watching the blue heron, ducks, geese (please don't feed them!) and a multitude of turtles. Save time to explore Granbury, too!! God bless and enjoy!!

The space
Nothing compares to being on the water . . . and the Rock is designed with outdoor living space almost as large as the inside! There is a separate outdoor sectional sofa area; an eating area with gas grill and Coffee Bar created from a vintage piano; a separate area with lounge chairs and a live-edge bar for snacking; a fireplace area with adirondack chairs; a garden (with yummy Sweet 100 tomatoes in season); and even a cornhole game! The Rock is flexible enough to be a special retreat for 2, a girls' getaway or fisherman's cottage for 3, or even a time with that special older child, favorite aunt or friend who will appreciate having their own room with a modern futon (sofa by day/bed by night). The hosts are near enough to be responsive, but give you complete privacy.

There is a large "smart" TV in the great room with both some local channels as well as multiple common streaming services. Please be sure to bring your log-on info for your favorite services so you don't miss anything!

Cute little get away place!

My sister and I stayed here for her birthday weekend. It's perfect for just two people that want to relax, visit and do some shopping. We had a great time and hope to go back soon.

We enjoyed our stay at this waterfront property. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax, and spending time outdoors by the water was the highlight of our trip.The home has a very unique, vintage feel—it almost felt like staying in an antique shop, with lots of charming older décor and collectibles throughout. While the property could use a little more upkeep in some areas, it was comfortable overall and provided a quiet, enjoyable getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to unwind and don’t mind a home with lots of character, this is a nice choice.

The Rock was great!

Beautifully decorated right on the water as pictured. Comfortable! Private and so homey. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous fall weather. Granbury has beautiful places to ahoo and eat! Cora and her husband were excellent hosts!

March Madness

We stayed the entire month at The Rock and enjoyed a break from the South Dakota winter. The property was pretty much as advertised and really enjoyed the outdoor patio area. Any maintenance issues were quickly addressed and the bedews very comfortable. Ralph & Patsi

Quaint cabin

The cabin was very quaint with a lot of neat antiques and architectural pieces inside and outside. Lots of patio sitting areas and view of the lake's canal. Good place for birdwatching.

Granbury Peaceful Retreat

This property was exactly as listed. Very eclectic house in a lake cove in Granbury. My husband enjoyed a little fishing right in front of the house. We enjoyed the City fireworks and the downtown area shopping. It’s a great place to get away for a few days. Nice and quiet! The hosts have all the supplies you would ever need and they are quick to reply to any questions. Great Wi-Fi too! Highly recommend!

Everything We Hoped

The hosts were so kind and friendly. We felt welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. There is perfect privacy and quiet in the beautifully furnished cottage. The outdoor area is lovely and it was fun to fish from the brand new fishing dock. The quiet and private location was perfect for us yet we could be in lovely downtown Granbury is a very few minutes. We recommend it.

Great hideaway by the water

My husband and I took a couple days to unwind and disconnect and this was the perfect place for that! The little amenities were great! We had a very pleasant conversation with Ms. Cora at check out, good host. Planning a trip back with my mom and Daugther next time. Definitely recommend!

Recovery

My husband had hand surgery so we decided to get away a few days for his recovery. Basically to keep him from the temptation of working around the house. This was the perfect place inside & outside. Nice to sit outside & watch the water with the fish jumping & geese playing. The inside furniture makes it easy to relax. The eclectic furnishings makes it very personal.

Super cute, like a dollhouse

This is such a cute house! There were so many fun things inside the house to look at, it felt like I was in a dollhouse. Cora went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. She had so many things available coffee, tea, snacks, toothbrushes etc. She truly was a great host. We loved the outdoor fireplace as well and watching the geese come in the morning as we had our coffee. Highly recommend.
