Le Quintessential Cosy Maine Cottage - étapes de la plage dans le plus bel emplacement dans un charmant quartier balnéaire sur une route privée C'est un deux étages, deux chambres, deux salles de bain chalet. Lovely, bien entretenu, intérieurs mis à jour sur une route privée avec vue sur l'eau.

A quelques minutes de la ville de Portland, mais se sent comme miles de toute la ville sur un chemin privé dans un quartier très agréable Falmouth Foreside. Vous êtes à quelques pas du célèbre Town Landing Store et à 15 minutes au sud du centre commercial Freeport Village. Tout ce que vous avez besoin pour la semaine de vacances idéale. pak-n-play, serviettes de plage / chaises, foyer et canne à pêche sur place.
Parking pour deux voitures, mais de préférence un.


Calme Cottage Maine privée près de la plage privée: Une semaine ne suffit pas de temps pour profiter de la plage, visiter la côte, prendre un voilier naviguer dans Camden, boutique à Freeport, antiquité votre chemin à travers les charmants villages qui bordent la côte. Il est le centre-ville de Portland avec ses bateaux ferry pour les îles. Visitez pittoresque Kennebunkport, 1/2 heure au sud. Profitez de nos excellents restaurants de fruits de mer du Maine. La meilleure aventure est de faire du kayak le long de la côte. Même les débutants peuvent le maîtriser. À la fin de la journée, amenez le foyer et le bois à la plage pour un cocktail au coucher du soleil. Quartier balnéaire de charme et une plage privée vous aideront à obtenir loin de tout.

Fantastic Falmouth

Quaint neighborhood with easy access to Portland, Freeport and Kennebunkport. The neighbors we met, were extremely friendly.

Perfect Place To Stay in Maine

Just loved the house we rented..So beautiful inside & out..Lovely flowers around property..The inside of the house was decorated so cute..Everything very clean, pretty & lots of towels, kitchen wear . Everything you would need..Host was amazing..When ever I asked a question, she got back to be within minutes. Love that the beach was so close & every thing else also..Great location..5 Stars all the way..I would stay again for sure..Thanks.

Maine cottage

We had a very nice time at the cottage. It was well equipped for what we needed, and furniture was in good condition. The layout had some challenges, such as living area on second floor (difficult for elderly parents to go the steps), and we knew this in advance and made it work. The front door layout is a bit inconvenient to get in and out when carrying things such as luggage. Overall, very nice place to stay, and we enjoyed our trip. Thank you!

Great location, tired property

Cleanliness was an issue as has been mentioned in prior review. After a supposed “deep cleaning” we arrive with mold throughout shower tiles (upstairs), cobweb on lamp shades, sticky flooring etc. nothing we could not clean up but hey we paid for cleaning! Place is tired and overfilled with STUFF making it necessary to move these out of the way in order to lay out our own things from suitcase. Beds were lumpy, pillows inexcusable and bedding overfilled with pillows everywhere. Feels like you are living in an overstocked antique store with no room to actually enjoy and relax kitchen is well stocked but e writhing was stuffed into drawers for you to search and find. Air condition are not window units but free standing room units that barely cooled the place. Turbo fans were caked with dust on the blades and were insufficient. Recommend: 1. Knife sharpener please non of the knives cut 2.bug screens on all the windows please not just a few windows. Lack of bug screens prevented us from cooling the house by opening windows to establish cross ventilation resulting in need to keep the A/C units running thru the night in August.3. Please remove some furniture from the unit. It may look nice to photograph architecturally but it is not livable for 4 adults. 4. The place needs a DEEP CLEANING. We left the place cleaner than when we found it! 5. dial on gas range is loose. Any light touch to knob causes gas leak. This happed twice once with us waking to gas smell in unit: safety issue

Great place

We had a wonderful trip and this property was a big reason for it. It had a great layout, very comfortable sitting area, two bathrooms allowed four adults to not be in each other's space.. Just steps from the water and geographically located close to more than we had time to see. The host was very quick to respond to questions. Communications and instructions from the host were frequent and clear. Would go back tomorrow.

Lovely

This was a lovely and comfortable place to stay. Beautifully appointed, close to the water. Because we loved it so much, instead of eating out, we purchased steamed lobsters locally and brought them back to the cottage to eat after have wine on the patio. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful Coastal Cottage.

It was a great location. There were excellent restaurants within a few miles and Portland was only about 15 minutes away. The owner had superb taste in her decorating and the view was lovely. All of the furniture was very comfortable to sit and sleep on.

Cozy Maine Cottage!

Had a wonderful experience at our time in this lovely cottage! Well-stocked with everything that you would need to have for your stay. Lovely Decour and very homey. Warm and friendly neighborhood and just steps away from the beach area. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again!

From Chicago to Falmouth

The owner, Marie, was very timely in her responses and extremely pleasant. The house is adorable, comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect and in an area of beautiful homes as well as a gorgeous bay. We highly recommend this property....although we would like to keep it our secret.

Quintessential Maine Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Falmouth Foreside. The location was ideal for our day trips to Portland and Freeport. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and very pleasant stay...very warm and welcoming. The house itself is charming and sits in a unique and "Mainesque" setting. We had two couples and found plenty of towels, dishes, seating, etc...We spent a couple evenings on the outside sitting area, drinking wine by candlelight under the starry skies...absolutely beautiful!

4 nights in early sept

We enjoyed Marie’s ocean cottage. The house photos are very accurate. It would have been nice to have a deck/ porch to sit on to view the cove but i didn’t expect it based on the photos. The cove is a 2 minute walk snd u can see it from the kitchen windows. The bed was siper comfortable, great hot water and pressure. We rnjoyed the kayaks and the kitchen amenities. Marie’s restaurant and local attractions were helpful. Parking is a little funky but doable and we had a good size SUV. TV and internet worked well. It would s also a nice neighborhood , friendly people and very safe feeling

Very Charming Home, Peaceful Retreat, Lovely Bay Views

The home, location and town of Falmouth was absolutely wonderful! It was everything we hoped for and more. I spent a week in mid July 2019 with my daughter. Marie was very helpful highlighting all the towns and restaurants in the surrounding area, which was a perfect guide for us to follow. I only wish we had more time to explore the beautiful coastal areas of Maine. Also, the weather in July was perfect. We will be back. Thank you, Marie

Maine Cottage

Overall, we had a great time. The owner's local recommendations were great. Especially, the Royal River Grill. Only minor complaints would be that the outdoor furniture was dirty. The old shower curtain used as covers for the cushions doesn't do the job. There were cobwebs on the bar stools in the kitchen and some of the dishes were dirty. I would really have enjoyed opening some of the windows to enjoy the fresh sea breeze, but they did not open. I would still certainly recommend the property and I would stay there again.

Sorry about the outside furniture I think I need to eliminate white cushions. But all the windows are brand new and should be able to be opened. I will Certainly check this out. Thank you for your comments.

July on the Bay

This property has more amenities than you could ever need! The kitchen is fully stocked with lots of extra utensils you think you’d never need including; ice cream scoop, bottle/wine opener, chip bag clips, coffee bean grinder, etc. Plus there are place settings for a nice dinner. The kayaks were amazing! We took them on the bay in the morning during high tide. This was a highlight of our trip, cruising by all the boats in the bay. There are many churches near by. The Catholic Church is 3min away! It was a very hot week when we stayed (80’s) so the master bedroom got very hot at night, about 81 degrees according to our baby monitor. We had 2 fans running and the de-humidifier. If you have a child I would recommend bringing an additional clip on fan for the pack n play. This is a great central location for getting to other cities.

We really loved everything about this cottage. Marie was very easy to communicate with, we had a lot of troubles with our flights and she was very understanding. The beach access was so easy. It was everything we were hoping and more. We definitely want to try to go back and stay in this cottage.

Impeccably decorated, charming coastal cottage

We enjoyed a lovely four-night stay with our two small children. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was responsive, helpful, and very pleasant to work with. A note for parents with little ones that the stairs cannot really be baby proofed. Also, in chatting with a neighbor we learned that broken glass is often an issue on the beach, so plan to bring water shoes. We were there during a record heat wave, so our only desire would have been more air conditioner units. However, the temperatures at night were comfortable with just fans. The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and is a quick trip into Portland. We would love to come back for another stay!

Perfect rental, well equipped even for a large Thanksgiving Dinner! Home had everything you need. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Great location in the Foreside.

I was raised in the NYC area and raised my kids in the Villanova area of Pennsylvania. I moved to Falmouth and this cottage in 2001 and fell in love with the neighborhood. I have been rehabbing and updating the house over the years bringing it to its current lovely condition after purchasing it in 2007.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I love Maine and the charming, quaint and upscale Foreside area along the water. This house is located on a quiet private street and yet only minutes to downtown Portland. Its the best of all worlds. The beach is private, the evenings quiet and the neighbors are delightful. While visiting my now growing family around the country I enjoy sharing my home with others. It is steps from the beach )less than 30 yards and a kayak rack is available. I am not right on the beach but have limited water views from my windows as shown in my photos.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Because this is my lovely home it is decorated with my own belongings and is furnished with items I treasure and my own paintings. I share these things with those who rent it and it has been my experience that my renters appreciate and care for it in a special way. I have recently
(2015/16) updated the entire house. I have added new furniture, windows, bathroom, new washer dryer, a new roof and newly upholstered chairs, etc. I use quality sheets and towels and I have added special touches. It is not your average beach rental.
