Great location. Exceptionally clean. Rental is a well appointed apartment above a double garage. Owners live in main house on property. We appreciated having access to bikes and kayaks though it was too cold in mid October to use the kayaks.

This loft apartment was perfect! My boys and I enjoyed the space, the view and the location. It was close to a lot of things but also felt secluded at the same time. The hosts have made it really feel welcoming and provide so much to make your stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

All was great. The pictures of the place make it look smaller than it really is. If there’s one thing I can suggest, it would be to have some good seating at ground level outside overlooking the water. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks Paul for hosting us.

The Anchor Loft, Yarmouth, Maine provided a perfect week on the coast of Maine! The preserve was within walking distance, and the kayaks were available and gave us a beautiful view of the island from the water. The loft itself was carefullylaid out and very comfortable… Even with ocean views. Perfect.

This loft space was centrally located just minutes from Freeport and stores. We traveled to Portland in less than 25 minutes. The ocean was across the driveway and the loft had a queen bed and a futon that turned into a full bed. Paul was helpful and accommodating and the property was beautiful and had everything we needed! We would definitely return for a stay here again!!

Relaxing, beautiful stay

My 2 girl friends and I loved our stay on Little John Island. Close enough to Portland to pop in when we wanted, but lots of beautiful walking, swimming, and kayaking opportunities right in the backyard. Little John Island is truly a gem and we would love to come back!

We loved our long weekend at Paul’s place on Littlejohn Island. The apartment was perfect for just the two of us and we appreciated being able to borrow the bikes and kayaks. Highlight was sitting out on the deck enjoying the perfect sunsets!

Lovely atmosphere. Loft was well appointed and comfortable. The yard and waterfront was beautiful. We enjoyed some nice hikes in the area, and location was an easy drive to Freeport and Portland.

Serene coastal escape

This was a perfect getaway for us. It is close to Portland, Freeport and plenty of sightseeing. It is also a great place to just relax and unplug. The island is small and charming and the nature preserve was lovely. The apartment is well equipped and the owners were responsive, helpful and friendly.
