A lovely place, exactly as described. Super swimming pool. Only issues (one which we knew about) were no AC. We were lucky because the temperature was lovely. The drive from the main road to the house was a bit hair raising in a 7 seater mini van but we thought it all added to the excitement!

Wonderful stay

This is an incredible property in a wonderful location. Highly recommend. The road to the house is narrow so you need to be comfortable driving on narrow roads. Other than that, this place is perfect.

The house is very well taken care of, the property is large on a hill off a very narrow road so I would suggest a smaller car as the driveway is a bit narrow as well. Caroline the main contact when staying was amazing, super nice and helpful. The house has enough space where if you are a large group you don’t feel cramped, lots of seating areas. There is a lot of ants and I mean a lot. So you really need to keep food off kitchen counter and in cabinets and they even swarm the dishwasher which was a little off putting but nothing some raid couldn’t cure. The house is about 30 min to Antibes and to Cannes which was super convenient. There is also several grocery stores just about 10 minutes away and a fantastic bakery called Jean luc Pele which we prob hit everyday. I would recommend this home but would prob try to find something a smidge closer to the water just to cut down some of the time you are in a car. But would come back in a heart beat.

Beautiful Bastide near Grasse.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property in July 2023. Communication with both the owner and the local manager was excellent. The house is large and well maintained. Air-conditioning in all the bedrooms. The highlights are the gardens and the pool area, where we spent most of our time. The surrounding area was great for exploring for adults and children alike.

Excellent property

This is a beautiful villa. It has lovely gardens and a wonderful pool and pool side facilities. We were a family of twelve. There are many outside seating arrangements available with a barbecue and tables. Good WiFi and a well fitted kitchen. A car will be needed as it’s quite secluded. It’s a very good starting point to visit the surrounding towns and countryside. Be warned about the mosquitos! They are everywhere and we were all bitten a lot!

Thanks for your very kind words Susan, Sorry to hear that you were annoyed by the mosquitos. You were unlucky, as it is quite unusual during this period of time. It was specially warm with some storms, that is probably why. I hope you found the repellent that we always leave just in case, as well as the plugs in the rooms.

A dream vacation. The property is amazing, so many levels to the gardens and the house has so many little things to discover. Great beds and the ensuite bathrooms had strong, hot showers.Total privacy with lush gardening and trees all around. The massive pool was warm and is about 8ft deep on the deep end, has a poolhouse with couches, shower and restroom. We spent 6 days, 5 nights, and barely got to use half of the amenities - there were lawn games like Petanque, a TV loft room and other games we did not have time for as we were so busy. Everything was very quiet by early evening, and the area does not have streetlights leaving it very dark and rural feeling at night, despite only being about 1 mile to an area with grocery stores and gas stations (we frequented Leclerc, which similar to a 'Target Superstore' full grocery and department store in the US).Easy drives to Cannes, Antibes which are each about 10 miles away. Mountain towns 20-30 minutes away had breathtaking views of the valleys. Mougins about 10 minutes to the Southeast was also a charming town with an old town full of restaurants.Would definitely go back.

Great stay at Bastide Sainte Marie

We had great stay at the Bastide. The property is beautiful, located with mature, green gardens benefiting from great size pool and 360 views of the area. The hosts were very helpful in any aspect of our stay and would like to thank them a lot. We had very good time staying at the property. Thank you.
