Great place for a large family

The property manager was great to work with. Very clean, lots of space. A great house for a larger family to stay. They had all the beach supplies you could need, provided. Great proximity to multiple beaches, restaurants, grocery, etc. Would definitely stay again.

Third Coast Visit

We had a wonderful stay at this Lake Michigan property! The house itself was really nice and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a comfortable getaway.Being so close to the beach meant we could easily walk over whenever we wanted to enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. Overall, this property hit all the marks for what we were looking for in a lake vacation rental. The combination of a quality house and an ideal location made for a memorable trip.

This was a great house for a small family weekend! The open floor plan was great and the screened in porch offered more areas to relax. The rooms were great although the bunk room with futon can be a little tight. There was plenty of parking and outdoor space. The area was quiet. It was about a mile walk to Pier 37 for beach access so not the most convenient but still accessible. The host was great and very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay again!

House was well appointed and a great shared space for our ladies weekend. Only gave 4 stars because the beds were not comfortable and it was very dark in there (lighting-wise). But the screened in porch was a beautiful space to sit together and enjoy the outdoors and the floor plan of the home worked great for our group.

Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of the Cozy Cabin Getaway, in a quiet, tree-filled neighborhood close to a playground, beaches, apple orchards, plenty of ice cream shops, and mini golf. The house itself was clean and cozy. It was a little too chilly for us to fully take advantage of the amazing outdoor spaces, but the kids loved the bunkbeds and had plenty of space to play games and do puzzles. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for cooking together and sharing family meals. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Beautiful home and convenient

Did not expect home to be in a neighborhood and outside could use a bit of sprucing up. Bedrooms a bit crowded but living areas quite spacious. Could use a blow dryer. Saw many deer right in the yard. Overall stay was quite satisfying.

Fun getaway with friends

Great space, comfortable beds, excellent indoor/outdoor seating and comfort. We spent a lot of time sitting around the tables playing games and the lighting was the only challenge. Probably nothing they can do about it but if you need more light, come prepared!

Beautiful and comfy

We very much enjoyed out stay at your beautiful house!! Very comfortable, cozy and relaxing. The perfect place for friends to reunite! The only issues we had were with the thermostat and the tv remote. Both of which were minor and may have been operator error. Oh, and there were discrepancies between the check out instructions on the fridge and the email sent the day prior to leaving. Thank you and we hope to get to come stay at your home again.

Cozy cabin by the beach

The neighborhood was wonderful. We’d walk every morning and evening. Neighborhood is surrounded by mature trees, woods, and wildlife. The deer we’d pass would be 5 yards away not bothered by our presence. Short walk to the park with a nice playground and basketball/pickleball courts. Short walk to a gorgeous and more secluded beach, which was amazing especially at sunset.The cabin is spacious and clean and it was nice having our meals in the enclosed patio. There is a zoo, lighthouse, bowling alley, & antique shopping nearby in Michigan City. Twenty minute drive to Harbert with an amazing Swedish (Harbert) bakery that has the best sea salted chocolate chip cookies and quiche. If you drive an hour south to Winamac they have Riverside Rentals to tube, kayak, or canoe down the river (highly recommend). They also have an outdoor paintball facility in Winamac. Of course the cabin is close to the Indiana Sand Dunes National Park, which is spectacular and breath taking to hike. The beach that has the biggest dune is the most beautiful. The property management team was easy to contact and respond and we had a wonderful time and loved our stay.

Had a broken tv on check in that never was repaired and carpets needed cleaned in primary bedroom. Outside should be power washed and windows cleaned. Loved the home itself as lots of family space and screened deck was nice. Very quiet and peaceful. Left multiple messages to property management regarding tv with response late in week and all they did was say yep it’s broken. Then they wanted to charge us for reporting it on check-in. Get a new management company because home itself is nice but management company is not responsive and doesn’t keep up property.

Had trouble with Internet but they sent out service multiple times to fix. Communication was very good and pleasant even though we didn't get it fixed while there. The fact that there was no internet service the entire stay, not so good. Also had a different experience that occurred. Came back to the house to an outside basement door being open with lights on. Not typically a big deal, but that basement had a door leading upstairs into the house that could only be unlocked from the basement side. We called the company who sent out a gentleman by the name of Simon. He was very nice, but also seemed surprised by the situation. He went into the basement to make sure no one was there and then closed and pad locked the door. Needless to say, we slept two nights with a chair jammed against the door so no one cold come in thru the basement. We never heard back from anyone the rest of the stay. When I called the company on Monday to let them know that I did not get the email they had sent in regards to checkout instructions due to lack of service. The directions posted on the fridge and email were different. I explained the situation to her. She herself was apologetic and voiced that she would have done the same. All in all, it was a nice place, clean and nice. However just would have liked to hear back with an explanation as to what had happened.

Before booking, I messaged the host to confirm whether an early check-in would be possible since we were traveling with young children. They indicated that if there was no guest staying the night before, an early check-in could be accommodated. However, after booking, early check-in was ultimately denied despite there being no guest the previous night.Additionally, although we signed the rental agreement the day before arrival, the host did not send the check-in information on time. We didn't receive the entry code until about 1.5 hours after the stated check-in time, which made for a stressful start to our stay.That said, once we were able to get into the property, our stay was great. In terms of cleanliness, the furniture was a bit grimy and musty. The home was spacious and conveniently located. It worked very well for our family and had plenty of room for everyone. Overall, the property itself was excellent.
