Spacious cabin with numerous bedrooms and bathrooms just steps from the lake! Two private docks, a pool table, or a short walk to The Dock (and its ice cream shop!) add to the fun. A five minute kayak trip brings you to Powell's Bar and Grill and a short drive delivers multiple golf courses, a casino, numerous restaurants and shopping. Enjoy the popular Tamarack Farms Winery just a quarter mile away.

Randy was great. Very responsive and attentive. His man who lives in the area came by on schedule to help us with any concerns. Had a great time in a great place. We hope to be back next year.

Great host and location! Plenty of space and bathrooms for six men. Easy access to the trails from little and Big Round lakes for our snowmobile trip. Bonus - Great restaurant bar next door! Will be booking again!

Host was great, super responsive and helpful when we had an issue with the water pressure and a neighbor. We did have an issue at the end of our trip with some guests getting bug bites all over, unsure if it was bed-bugs or not. Host was responsive about the issue, but no offer for partial refund. We also had no technical proof and didn’t ask as we had to leave with a big storm rolling in. Best thing about this place was the property manager and host quick response and willingness to help if needed.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately this review written immediately upon guests departure. The issue was quickly resolved to the guests satisfaction. As per the property, it was treated on March 26 by a professional pest control company. The treatment was by the lethal temperature (160 degrees) method for 4 hours. Two weeks following, it will be treated with chemicals. This is the most aggressive method available. Shortly thereafter, I will stay at the property to make sure all is well. Thanks Randy

It's a wonderful house and location. We love the house - lots of room, perfectly clean and has everything we need. It's a great location - easy to find and close to shopping, restaurants and family fun. And the lake is beautiful!

Great Place For Large Gathering

This place was perfect for our family with a mixture of adults, teens and young kids, the amount of space was great! Would have been nice to have a little more flat yard space for outdoor games but the lake offered the perfect place to hang out.

Incredible place for a group - convenient, spacious, comfortable. The owners and property managers are super kind, super responsive, and super helpful. The kids and adults all have a blast. We love it and can't wait to come back next year!

Family get away

Wonderful stay!!! property manager responded very quickly to questions and provided things that we needed. Lots of space and activities for everyone to be involved in. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, hiking, golfing and competitive card games. Would consider coming again.

Fantastic swimming area for kids. Great screened in porch so kids could be watch in comfort. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Owners are obviously making improvements based on the photos on Internet. Property manager was very responsive and accommodating. Could use a little more seating for meals.

Family vacation

There was 14 of us plenty of room for us great set up had everything you could possibly want including kayaks, which were awesome and a standup paddleboard. It was a little warm one night, but otherwise the fans are appreciated and kept at cool! Couple of notes just when you're driving there it's right behind the dock for location finding it and then also had lots of boats and lots of cars, and there was room for all of it! Great stay thank you so much!

Great vacation cabin!

This cabin has ample room to accomodate large groups and comes with all the comforts of home but still feels like a cabin. Communication with the host and property manager was excellent! Parking was a bit of an issue with us, but Randy went the extra mile to provide extra parking. The lake was beautiful and very clear. Fishing was a little slow over our week, but we all had a great time regardless!😊

Large cabin on big round

We enjoyed the size of the cabin. We had 8 adults and 8 children and had plenty of room. We did have 1 issue and that was all beds had acorns in them. We were able to rewash the bedding so we made it work. Kids caught a bunch of fish ice fishing. Lots of Northern and Large mouth bass.

Perfect for our family holiday!

Plenty of room for our group! Not a property issue, but Google maps brought up to a location 6-8 miles away with the physical address we were given! I would suggest mapping to The Dock Bar and Grill instead as the cabin is directly behind there. The dishwasher was broke, but i was given notice before arriving and when we got there the owner had left a hand-written apology and a $50 gift certificate for the restaurant next door. That was an unexpected but very much appreciated gesture! The only thing that could have made our stay better was if the fish had been biting better!

Great lake - spacious house

Overall our stay was pretty good. The cabin had plenty of room and seating for our families. The house does not have AC, but luckily it was on the cooler side while we stayed there. The house is pretty outdated and a bit musty, but it did the trick. The biggest downfall for this property is parking. There was not a big enough spot in front of the house to park our boat/trailer while we unloaded. There is a garage a ways from the house, but you can't park in front of it. We parked there just to unload our stuff into the cabin and to wait out the downpour, but we immediately got talked to by the neighbors and they called the property manager right away and the owner of the VRBO because we parked there just so we could unload - even though we were not blocking anyone in - and there was nowhere else to park. The lake is amazing though and the water is clear right in front of the house. Oh and we caught a mouse in the kitchen while there.

Robbie, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your time on Round Lake. After 24 nearly perfect reviews, I guess we stumbled with your 3 star rating. Obviously we will strive to improve, here are some comments on issues listed by Robbie. --As mentioned on VRBO listing, there is no AC. The cabin is very close to the lake and evenings do cool down nicely. Also the property has numerous fans and windows. -- All the furniture in dining room, living room and porch along with all beds and furniture in bedroom were purchased new in 2020 from the Retreat Home Furniture store in Hayward. We really enjoyed spending time picking out the furniture for the cabin! -- I have purchased some Damp Rid product and will bring up this weekend to deal with any musty smell. On parking, I believe one of the biggest strengths of this property is available parking space. As per listing, there are 3 spots in front of cabin and 2 in the nearby garage. In 2021, I bought a lot that is 1.5 miles from cabin and cleared a large parking area. Thus within 1.5 miles, there is basically as much complimentary parking as a guest could need. Many other cabins on Round Lake are limited on parking space. Apologies on the confusion while you were unloading the contents of your vehicle/trailer. As for the mouse, not sure how it got in the house. That's our first mouse. I'll have our property manager walk the outside of the property and look for any possible entry points, but I'd guess it just found an open door. Again, I hope fun was still had by Robbie and his guests. We'll continue to work on making the property a great place to stay on Round Lake! Thanks Randy and Annie

This place is WONDERFUL!

We had a total of 9 people, all family staying this year. We've been coming to Hayward for over 45 years with our family. This year, we had extended family join us so we had to upgrade to something bigger. This place is amazing! We literally got lost in the house when touring it upon our arrival LOL. The woodwork is beautiful, every room was interesting and beautifully decorated and just right for our taste. The weather was great and we went swimming, tried out the paddleboard and I kayaked for the first time in my life - I'm 53! ;) We caught fish and enjoyed our evenings watching Breaking Bad (my Dad) and playing board games and dice on the nice big kitchen table which supported all of us. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The communication was perfect with the property owner and very accommodating to us. There is one thing I can mention is that tree right smack dab in the front door really needs to be trimmed, or even better, just removed. You have to walk around it to grab the handle to open the door. THANK YOU for a great vacation in Hayward, WI - our favorite place to be. Already looking forward to 2024 :)

Our family has been coming to Round Lake for 16 years. After our cabin purchase, both of our parents also bought homes on Round Lake. We have loved our time on this lake, however, as our kids become teenagers, we find it more difficult to spend as much time at the cabin as we'd like. Thus we've found using VRBO allows other families an opportunity to enjoy the lake much like we have!
