Beautiful and Private 4 Bedroom, 5.5 bath Gated 3 Acre Estate with Views of the Pacific

Gorgeous 4 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom single story Spanish home in lovely Rancho Santa Fe. Come enjoy the breathtaking views from this luxurious hilltop location! Relax in the warm San Diego sun while enjoying the gentle ocean breezes that come year round. Built in 2015, this 5000 square foot gated estate exudes luxury and charm. The serene, resort-like setting is the perfect place to relax in peace and quiet, as well as enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. This extraordinary property features lush grounds, views of the Pacific Ocean, and is within walking distance of the spectacular San Elijo Lagoon trails, and extensive walking/hiking equestrian trail system that runs throughout the Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe. With sliding doors that open completely between the family room and covered outdoor space, this home is perfectly designed for the best of indoor-outdoor living and entertaining. The outdoor fireplace, bbq, upstairs viewing patio, trampoline, children's play structure, lush green lawn, and organic vegetable garden provide all that is needed to enjoy the beauty and tranquilty this unique community has to offer.

This home comfortably sleeps 10 people. All of the bedrooms are located on one wing of the home, with the master bedroom separated from the rest by its own private vestibule entry space. It features a fireplace, spa-like bath marble bath and large walk-in closet. There are three en suite guest bedrooms. One has two double beds, one has two twin beds (and its own separate outdoor entrance), and the other has one queen bed. The playroom / exercise room can be used as an additional bedroom, with a blow-up queen size bed. A baby crib is available upon request.

Conveniently located near the beach communities of Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas and Carlsbad this home has easy access to world-class restaurants, golf, tennis, hiking and many other activities. Del Mar Race Track and Surf Cup Sports Park and the scenic coast are within a 5-10 minute drive. The San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, Sea World, Legoland and Balboa Park are all within a 20-30 minute drive.

Serene and peaceful getaway

Josh and Adrienne were gracious hosts, their home is lovely, spacious, quiet and secluded. It was just the serene, peaceful getaway we were looking for. We ate many meals outside on the patio, enjoying the ocean view and breezes. Any issues that arose were addressed promptly.

Fun family vacation

The owners were so responsive, helpful and pleasant, we are happy to give their property a 5 star rating. Their efforts were much appreciated. The property is a child's dream: trampoline, play structure with 2 slides!, tetherball, basketball hoop, air hockey, fire pit for bonfire and s'mores, exploring around the property. The kids loved it! We adults appreciated the gourmet kitchen, spacious floorplan and lovely surroundings. I enjoyed relaxing on the patio, soaking in the peaceful view. The men took advantage of the bbq, even rotissering a couple of chickens. We all enjoyed outdoor meals on the patio. The location was perfect, especially in this time of coronavirus and avoiding crowds as much as possible. Being on 3 private acres made social distancing easy! We hiked the Orilla Trail, a short walk away. Hiking in San Diego Park, a short drive away, was a family favourite. A nice beach that was relatively uncrowded in the morning was a 10 minute drive. We highly recommend this property and feel the discount we received (because of the virus?) made up for a few less satisfactory issues. Nonetheless, we would be remiss if we didn't provide the owners and incoming renters the following feedback: - we were surprised that we had to park our cars outdoors as garage access was not provided. - the master bedroom and bathroom have no window coverings. Eye masks were provided but, not being used to them, we found masks more disruptive than being woken by early morning light.. - although the listing states the master has a walk-in closet, it was closed off and an unsightly garment rack provided. - one of the bedrooms was particularly sparse, containing only 2 beds, a chest of drawers and another garment rack (the clothes closet was locked). We took 2 side tables from the family room to act as bedside tables. - a couple of the bedroom doors lock spontaneously. A note to that effect should be provided to incoming renters, along with instructions and a coat hanger to open said locks. It became terrifying to have 2 crying babies locked inside a room it took us over 10 minutes to access.
