Maison ensoleillée spacieuse et bien équipée à Geraldine

Maison ensoleillée et bien équipée de 3 chambres à cinq minutes à pied de la ville. Un endroit idéal pour s'évader en couple, en famille élargie ou en petit groupe. 10-14 personnes. Geraldine est un endroit idéal pour des vacances en famille, une retraite de la ville ou une escale sur le chemin du mont Cook et des lacs du sud. Quatre domaines skiables à moins de 1h30 de route. Cafés, bars à vin, boulangeries. Dégustation de nourriture chez les transformateurs de fruits de Barkers, la chocolaterie, le Talbot Forest Cheese tous à proximité. Promenades en brousse, pêche au saumon et à la truite. Baignade et pique-nique dans une rivière qui traverse la ville et les gorges voisines. Variété d'artisanat et sudios. Musée de voitures anciennes. Deux terrains de golf, courts de tennis, aires de jeux pour enfants, piscine chauffée (novembre-mars). La maison est à 2 minutes à pied de la ville, de la rivière et des promenades en brousse. Ensoleillé et chaud. Barbecue et espace extérieur. Bien équipé, y compris les jouets pour enfants. Garage double.
Vous assistez à un mariage à Stonebridge? Nous sommes à seulement 5 minutes en voiture.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay - a cosy house even when the weather was wet. The log fire was great at keeping the place warm. Plenty of space, quiet and lovely birdsong to wake us up. Close to the Main Street, so easy walking to the shops and cafes (highly recommend the Running Duck for food). We will definitely be staying again!

Good location.

Great little house close to town. Only knock was the cleanliness with a large list of jobs expected from the owner before leaving, such as vacuuming, washing tea towels etc, which showed.

We have taken on board your comment re cleaning requirements for guests and simplified the instructions so it isn’t so arduous. We always have a cleaner come in between guests as we like to keep the cleanliness at a high standard.

The house was perfect for our family get together. The abundance of column heaters & fireplace made for a cosy stay. Plenty of seating for everyone & the kitchen was well stocked. We will be back for sure

Calm stay with everything you'd want

Great property with an interesting history shown in the decor. Lots of things provided to do in and around the house for families. Well equipt kitchen. Nice areas to sit outside with comfy chairs. Very close to geraldine centre so can walk for a meal/drink/coffee. The whole town has some interesting history. Really enjoyed our time there.

Warm and comfortable

We stayed during winter and the log burner was fantastic! There was plenty of fire wood in the garage. The house has tonnes of space, games and toys for the kids and even play equipment outside. Perfect for families.

Sunny, warm and convenient

We loved basing ourselves in charming Geraldine while our daughter umpired at a hockey tournament in Timaru. The house was quiet, warm and perfect walking distance to town for coffee and breakfast at Barkers. Recommend.

Perfect base in Geraldine

We have stayed at Kay's bach before and it was just as great this time. So much to do in the area and this is the perfect base to do so. It is a quintessential kiwi bach - warm, comfortable, unpretentious and very relaxing. Only a couple of blocks to town, cafes, market etc. Definitely recommend. I am sure we will be back. Thanks.

Geraldine's Hidden Treasure

This centrally located, clean, well appointed cottage is loaded with understated charm and accommodations to very comfortable living. Pared with the fascinating history of the property, the cottage itself and its expansive & private back yard, you ate left wanting nothing. Its an ideal location to base your explorations of the Cantebury region. I recommend this property to both shodt and longer-term travellers. Kay, a gem herself, is helpful and quick to resoond. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect base for hiking in Peel Forest

As a group of hikers we enjoyed the location, so close to many great hikings. We also enjoyed the heated pools in Geraldine, the fantastic cinema with big confy seats and in the way back we went to the Staveley ice rink and Methven hot pools. A fantastic weekend. The house itself is spacious, warm and has everything snd more you might need. The host looks after every little detail to make sure you have a nice stay, and communication was great. 10/10

I grew up in Geraldine and love to return to enjoy the walks, river gorges, quaint shops, art galleries and cafes.
I love to see couples, extended families and groups of friends enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this spacious house and it's unique history. We have lots of people come to celebrate birthdays, weddings and other family events.
It also works well for people on business in Geraldine providing a homely atmosphere while working away from home.
We have been running the holiday home for over 20 years and have many people who return year after year to enjoy the house and location.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We chose this house as a holiday home because it sunny and bright. It has a wonderful private back yard to relax in with friends and family and is so close to the town centre, gardens, playground, supermarket and cafes. We hardly ever get into our car when we stay here unless we want to venture out to explore the river gorges nearby, Peel Forest, Tekapo or Caroline Bay in Timaru.
