We loved staying at Shores! Our host, Lil, was very friendly and welcoming. The view from the unit was spectacular! Mt Manaia is impressive. I loved walking around the bay and seeing the ancient magma jetty. A lovely quiet break away. I highly recommend this holiday let.

Perfect lication

We attended a wedding at McLeod's Bay and this was very close which was great. Lil was a lovely host and her place was spotless, peaceful and perfect for our little 4 day getaway.

Fabulous Vista

We went for a refreshing weekend away and the location did not disappoint. Great accommodation, beds were so comfortable and everything you need. Lil gave us some great suggestions of what to do. Definitely will be back.

Terrific in Taurikura

This Bookabach is a wonderful place to stay, where views of Mt Manaia are just the beginning. Complete with two double bedrooms and a large living/dinning area. The property is clean, tidy and well appointed. A great location, close to many hiking trails and Lil, the host, is welcoming and has great advice for local sites if needed. Fully equipped kitchen and board games for rainy days. We thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay and look forward to returning.

Paradise at the coast

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. The apartment is impeccably clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, the apartment has everything you need ... all this with a fantastic view and easy access to walking tracks (including Mt Manaia). Communication with Lil was wonderful. A chorus of kiwi calling at night was an added bonus!! Thanks again Lil for your superb hospitality.

Piece of Paradise

Such a beautiful apartment! Pictures don’t do it justice. Full kitchen with everything you could possibly need. You can walk across the road to the bay and paddle board. It’s a stunning, peaceful piece of paradise. Lil is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about the local area

Stunning place to stay, was a an absolute privilege, i left some stuff behind and Lil returned them to me no questions asked, i am a introvert so dont really like interacting with people, thats my issue but apart from that i loved the stay.

Great get away from the city

Wanted a quiet, relaxing get away and it was exactly that. Well thought out and beautifully presented accommodation with lovely quality details. Terrific view of the mountain from the deck. Lil is a smashing host and made sure everything was perfect. Great communication all the way through and helpful suggestions of must sees and dos. Very impressed.

Spoil yourself in paradise

Wow, we had the most amazing time staying at the Taurikura Bay apartment. The apartment was delightful and was located in an idyllic and peaceful countrified setting surrounded by majestic mountains, farmland and water views (depending on which way you look). Lil was such an awesome host, friendly, accommodating, and eager to provide us with some welcome recommendations of things to see and do around the beautiful Whangārei Heads. We would certainly love to return to Whangārei Heads for another holiday and would love to stay at the Taurikura Bay apartment again when we do.

Fabulous Outlook

Warm, cosy, super clean with a friendly hostess. The view in the morning while having coffee on the balcony was magical. We loved our stay, however one night was way too short.

A Beautiful location
