Maison rustique de 2 chambres nichée dans la région de Bethells.
Une vue imprenable sur la plage de Bethells et les dunes de sable menant au magnifique lac Wainamu. Détendez-vous et détendez-vous dans ce Bach entouré par la beauté naturelle et le chant des oiseaux. Dans la journée, écoutez le chant des oiseaux du Tui et dans la soirée, écoutez l'appel évident du hibou Ruru (Morepork).
Ce magnifique bach est parfait pour des vacances en famille ou une escapade romantique. Seule une courte promenade vers le lac Wainamu pour une promenade et une baignade dans le lac frais. Ou 2 minutes en voiture de la plage pour une promenade le long de la plage de Bethells ou un surf sur la colline sur la plage de surf O'Neils bien connue. Il y a une promenade cÎtiÚre et lacustre dans la région.
En été, le café Bethells propose de la nourriture et des boissons. Des vendredis soirs, des musiciens viennent divertir les habitants et les visiteurs.
Un endroit magnifique pour une escapade hivernale, carpez et explorez la plage, puis rentrez vous détendre à la maison devant un feu de cheminée.
10 minutes de route vous ramĂšneront au club de golf Waitakere et Ă  de plus belles promenades dans la brousse.
Vous avez le luxe de l'intimité de toute une maison, offrant un bon rapport qualité-prix et pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes.

Everything was in good condition and Paula, the host, was very helpful. I needed to adjust the booking several times and it was no problem. The only issue for us was that there were no beach towels available. This was a bit of a surprise to us and we only found out after we had arrived. Perhaps this could be made clearer upon booking. (It is possible that I missed it somewhere.) We had travelled internationally and so didn’t have towels with us. Fortunately we were able to borrow some from family. Otherwise, the house had everything we needed and we had an enjoyable stay.

Ruru Cottage was a perfect base for a quiet weekend near the beach for our small group. Clear information was provided beforehand, and the place had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the fireplace and beautiful view.

Get away

It was lovely at first glance.every had its place and it looked very sug.but thats kind of where it ended.The hard wooden stools around tne kitchen table are not comfortable. which only leaves the couch to sit at. which is not ideal.The coffee table is not right for the room either or else it would actually serve the people on rhe couch. But it sits too far away.so we were generally uncomfortable. wanting better seats..the couch is back to the veiw. which seems counter intuitive.the slippy pathway was concerning.but you knew all of this. so why bother asking for feed back.Tge Coffee tables ou

Beautiful location and clean, homely bach

We mostly enjoyed our stay at Paula’s Bach. It was clean and inviting. The location was close to the lake (make sure you take boogie boards for sand dunes sliding) and a short way from the beach. Paula was a great host. The only reason I didn't give this an overall 5 stars was because of the neighbours partying until 1am. Very loud music, shouting and constant swearing right outside and a couple of steps away from where our children were trying to sleep. Possibly they were not full time neighbours and we caught it on a bad weekend, but we would probably not stay again because of it.

Lovely stay

The kids were in heaven - a swing and heaps of toys and games! Lovely views, everything you need. Could do with a fire surround for safety.

Lovely Kiwi Batch

We enjoyed our stay here. Had everything we needed. The view from the bedroom and sound of crashing waves are not to be missed. We found the extensive list of rules a bit over the top, particularly the rules around no visitors I believe would struggle to be upheld under the rules of short term rental - I would really encourage the owners to rethink this - you have a beautiful property that people want to respect - the rules are so extensive that they almost have the opposite effect on people.

A lovely spot for a family getaway.

Both us parents and the kids loved Ruru cottage. Tidy and cosy, there was lots to keep the kids entertained at the cottage. And heaps to keep us all entertained in the local area. Thanks again for having us.

Can’t be faulted

Another amazing stay -we love this place. Average weather didn’t matter when we walked along the beach, watched old-school dvds, sat by the fire and played lots of games. Spotlessly clean and so welcoming. Thanks for letting us enjoy Ruru cottage. Mānawatia a Matariki!

Such a peaceful and serene location. The house is a perfect little retreat, great beach access.

Simply stunning

A charming cottage for a family getaway, we couldn't have asked for more. The house was exceptionally clean, the communication excellent, and the location breathtaking. We played many board games and watched a few DVDs, it was exactly the holiday we were after. We'd definitely return to Ruru Cottage.

Bethells Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Ruru Cottage. Unfortunately the cyclone hit this area hard and many areas were closed down. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our walks on Bethells Beach. Ruru Cottage was well equipped communications with Paula were excellent.

The property was in a great location, some strange rules in terms of having people to visit etc which was odd and should have been communicated prior. Property manager was great and responsive.

This property offers stays for up to 8 people in your own private home with exceptional views of the rugged west coast. This is value for money only 1 hour from the air port and 45 minutes from Auckland city. This is a great family vacation home or ideal for those brief stop off's in Auckland.

This property has views of the unique black sand dunes, as well as ocean views.
