Exquisite 3300 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath resort-like home. Relax among the stunning manicured grounds with light up pool, waterfall Jacuzzi, and outdoor fireplace. Gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, bright interior. Quiet oasis for family and friends to relax and play. Equipped with bikes, beach and pool supplies; all you need to enjoy your stay. Only 17 minutes walk or 5 minute bike ride to Moonlight Beach and Downtown Encinitas. Perfect home for friends or family groups to gather for fun and relaxation. Unlimited choices for recreation,dining, and shopping nearby. Pool is not covered or gated, so not appropriate for small children or non-swimmers. Guest house on property where caretaker lives, and is available to help if needed. Doorbell cameras on front porch and Casita gate.

5 day reservation minimum, hosts will consider shorter stays by request.

No parties or pets allowed. This house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, and guests are expected to keep outdoor noise to a minimum during their stay. Neighbors are sensitive to noise, and caretaker onsite will address any noise issues promptly.

The property was great! House could easily have accomodated more than the 7 of us (2 children, 5 adults). Great location, with a nice stroll to the beach (and a great ice cream shop on the way back). Pool and hot tub were great. Only issue: a neighbor complained about noise in mid-afternoon that definitely was not loud, then had the temerity to start power washing his/her house early the next morning.

Well appointed house with everything you could possibly need! Very clean and well maintained. Also an excellent kitchen that had everything we needed for a group that likes to cook. We would definitely book this house again!

Fun for all ages

We loved the house. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone had plenty of space and all enjoyed cooking and meals at the house. The backyard is amazing, and photos of the home don’t do it justice. Very sweet owners and the manager was very helpful as well. Will definitely stay here again!

There aren’t enough superlatives for this place. We had 7 adults and loved the home. The backyard is a vacation place by itself. The hosts were fantastic. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful week in Encinitas

We had a great time at this beautiful home! They thought of everything you could possibly need and it was there. Beds were comfy, everything clean and outdoor oasis was spectacular! Located easy walk to Moonlight Beach and the town. Property manager, Claire, was responsive and super sweet. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Encinitas house

We loved this house -- large enough for our extended family, convenient location, clean and well furnished interior, and gracious hosts. We arranged for the pool to be heated given the cooler weather, which the hosts accommodated. Communication was easy and straight-forward. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and comfortable stay

We were a group of 9 adults staying in Encinitas for a long weekend. We had a wonderful stay! There is so much to do at the house - it was so relaxing and we rarely left. There was enough room for us to spread out but the living room and kitchen were big enough for us all to hang out together. The hot tub and pool are amazing. It is also just a short walk to downtown Encinitas. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay again!

Fantastic Home

We had a wonderful stay in Encinitas. The house is lovely and spacious, with amenities that make a vacation seamless. Moreover, our hosts have thought of everything. Beach umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, etc. was ready in waiting, which made for easy excursions to the beach. Check-in and check-out was a breeze - really appreciated their "house guide" which explained remotes, lighting, spa use - you name it. This is the perfect spot for a family reunion, summer getaway, or weekend with friends. Cannot begin to recommend enough.

We hate to give such a bad review to a place we loved the last time we went, but this time the owner stayed in the caretakers home which is 2 feet from the stairs of the pool and would not leave us alone. We were continually scolded for our Grandchildren laughing ,jumping and splashing in the pool to the point they didn't want to swim anymore. My son and his family who live in CA. came to visit us and when their kids were in the pool we were told the pool is only for four people total-that was never explained to us on the web site and was not enforced the previous visit. If you will not be using the pool or hot tub and you don't mind the owner 2ft. away constantly monitoring you-you will love this place.

Heidi had visited 2 years prior, but her grandkids were older and more in number at this visit. She made the reservation for 6 adults, and then a group of 15 ( 8 adults and 7 kids) arrived and stayed the entire time. We never said only 4 kids could be in the pool, but we did say the house had a maximum capacity of 9, both ahead of her arrival, and after they hosted 15. It was like a pool party every afternoon, and she didn't answer her phone or texts. Several days we had to come home from an evening out, due to a neighbor's noise complaints, and knock on the door and ask them to try to bring the volume down. We do state in our listing that the neighborhood is quiet, but I don't think they read it, since they had been here before. I would not rent to them again.

Gorgeous home, gardens, and pool.

I stayed here with my partner, my 3 granddaughters, and my daughter in-law. We loved the home, which has a lot of space, beautiful artwork, contemporary decor, and great pool. The children stayed mostly in the pool. The kitchen has everything you need and more to whip up a fast meal. There are several large smart tvs, and all spaces were comfortable. Location is central to all we needed. The caretaker is very discreet and is not an issue to have on property. There are many adult bikes—not easy to ride or walk to beach with highways. Recommend a car. Everything worked with a few exceptions like the jetted tub, pool lights, and we could not figure out how to unlock the ping pong table. I believe those will be repaired. If you enjoy an upscale environment, this is it.

We are glad to hear Brooke had a lovely stay. The beach is downhill 15 minutes, and we walk there most days when we stay at the house. It does require crossing the coast highway, which is a 35 mph road with lights every 2 blocks, and a walk back up the hill afterwards. I wish Brooke and family had asked about the ping-pong table during her stay, and we would have been happy to help; it is not broken. The pool lights and tub are being repaired this week. We would be happy to host Brooke and her family again.

OWNER ON PROPERTY w/ Large Dogs -- Not Child/Family Friendly!!!

Beautiful property, but a very uncomfortable experience.While the home is gorgeous, clean, and in a great location, our stay was extremely stressful due to the behavior of the owner and the atmosphere on the property.The listing states the owner lives nearby, but in reality, she lives on-site and was constantly monitoring our presence. We received repeated complaints—even during quiet hours—creating a sense of being watched and unwelcome throughout the trip. It was difficult to relax, and the level of oversight felt intrusive.We were also confronted by a neighbor who used aggressive language toward us while we were in the backyard. At the same time, multiple neighboring homes hosted loud gatherings, there was ongoing construction nearby that made the pool area dusty. All while we were asked to remain nearly silent, to the point where our children were whispering outside.Midway through our trip, the owner escalated things by contacting VRBO with what we believe were inaccurate claims, adding unnecessary stress to an already tense situation.While the property itself is beautiful, we cannot recommend it to families or anyone looking for a peaceful, private getaway.

We were very disappointed to receive Alexandra’s comments since we’ve always hosted happy families, as noted by past and recent reviews. When we tried to collaborate with Alexandra on her families excessive noise and her concern about the on-site caretaker, she admitted that she had been busy at the time of booking and had not read the listing details. Our on site caretaker has been reviewed by many guests as very helpful and discreet. While we do live in a quiet neighborhood, it is child friendly and perfect for families. Unfortunately Alexandra’s family was unwilling to moderate her kid’s yelling in the pool for hours at a time. We did reach out with solutions but unfortunately Alexandra was unwilling to engage with us. Honestly the comment about the dog was confusing, since the caretaker’s friendly dog is never allowed in the main yard and only uses the driveway to access the street and is always on leash.

A beautiful oasis

We stayed a week and loved it. The backyard is simply amazing. The pool, spa, and outdoor fireplace are fun and relaxing. The house has pretty much everything you need and more. My husband is a runner and liked running in the area. We loved the games, toys and books for adults and kids. There are bikes but we didn't get a chance to ride them. The instruction notebook that comes with the house is the best I've. Just one of many helpful items - it includes detailed descriptions of the area beaches so you can pick just the right one. Our group of 10 fit perfectly in the 5 bedrooms. It was so nice that each pair had their own room. We all had privacy - no one was stuck sleeping on sofa sleeper out in a public area of the house. The communication with host was fantastic and responsive. The managers live in an ADU in backyard but they give you complete privacy. We only saw them once, briefly and never heard them. But, it was nice to have them close at hand if we needed anything. We originally booked for 7 people. I needed to add 3 more people and add an extra day. The host quickly accommodated our change. It was a fantastic vacation. We will stay here again!

Lovely Thanksgiving

This was a wonderful home to gather my family for the Thanksgiving! Dinner outside in the sunshine?? Perfect!! Prior to our stay, Anne (the owner) sent me options of places to order our Thanksgiving meal. I appreciated her time in doing that! The home is equipped with everything you need for a week stay. Claire is on-site and responsive to any questions. Ask her about a wonderful place nearby for dinner! :). We enjoyed walking snd riding bikes each day to town and the beach. (We didn’t use them, but the home has lots of beach toys and chairs.) The hot tub was relaxing every evening. Nice area with beautiful views from the upstairs. Thank you for sharing this home with us!

This is what home away from home is all about!!

The house is extremely comfortable, a beautiful space to rest and relax. It has a great layout, which fosters lots of wonderful gathering time both indoors and out, a lovely mix of cozy and spacious. We had many large shared meals (for 9) and were able to find everything we needed (like olive oil and tons of lovely spices). It really felt like home and we are so thrilled we found it. The owners were also extremely responsive and helpful.

A most amazing and relaxing place

Anne's house was amazing! It was very well equipped and outfitted in a high-end way for a relaxing vacation. Communication with Anne and her daughter Claire was effortless and they were very easy to work with. The house is very comfortable and well set up for relaxation with plenty of space and exceptional outdoor spaces. The backyard is beautiful with multiple areas to hang out in. It has a beautiful pool (we didn't use it because it was still a little cool during our March visit) and a great attached hot spa tub, which we used everyday. The kitchen was very well equipped. The location was great as well. The house is in a nice area on a cul-de-sac. The main part of Encinitas is less than a 5 minute drive, with plenty of very good restaurants and coffee places nearby. We would definitely happily come back!

Perfect Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a great week long stay here in Encinitas. We had two children ages 11 and 8 and four adults. We were so very comfortable in Anne's home. We had great communication with Anne, the owner, before the trip and with Claire, her daughter, during our stay. We had everything we needed and then some. The beds were super comfortable, the outside sitting areas were so relaxing and wonderful. The pool was a little chilly but the kids did go swimming once or twice. The hot tub was perfect though for all of us. It's a great neighborhood to walk around in, a nearby park. Our only small complaint if we had to find one was that the very high end kitchen appliances seem to be showing their age a bit. They are super nice and easy to use though and we were fine. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice family getaway in San Diego. It was so convenient to everywhere we went, and a wonderful home to return back to at night. This was my first experience with the owner/caretaker living on site and I had some reservations about it going in to the week. However, as soon as we got there we could tell that Claire gave us total privacy and was so nice and easy to talk to it was not a issue at all! Thanks for a great stay!!

We are a semi-retired couple with adult children. This is a second home for us, which we use often for ourselves. We are very active; biking, hiking, and playing sports, and love Encinitas for all the outdoor and beach activities we can enjoy with our family and friends. Anne and Claire are a mother-daughter team and we manage the property together.
