Very well-appointed cottage in a lovely setting.

As soon as you pull in the drive, you are a beautiful setting with lush landscaping and mature trees. The cottage is very nicely decorated, fully equipped, well maintained and a pleasure to come back to after a day on the lake or exploring. We recommend this place highly.

The house was so cute and the grounds were beautiful! We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. Our 2 year old loved the play set outside. There were also a few spots to relax outside and enjoy the garden. Communication with Allen was very easy. And I appreciated the easy check out process! All we had to do was lock the door :)

Beautiful cabin, personal touches from host, wonderful garden with functional and private outside areas. We enjoyed the outside eating table, the grill, the fire pit, and the play set.

Maplewood Cottage is the perfect retreat in the middle of a “secret garden”.

We loved the beautifully restored cottage. Outside there are areas to grill, relax with a book or build a bonfire. Inside the rooms are well appointed with comfy beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. The host, Allen, even left snacks and provided 3 ways to brew coffee.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect weekend getaway in Michigan

We really enjoyed our stay at this small cottage. There was plenty of room for the three of us. Very nice garden with lot of shade and places to sit. Everything was super clean, nothing was missing. The host was very attentive and welcoming.

Charmed by the cottage and relaxed in the peaceful shaded garden.

Cannot say enough good things about this little cottage tucked away in a beautiful shaded garden. The cottage is well maintained with cozy accommodations. The host covered all the details that make renting a home way better than a hotel. The garden is just perfect and provides a nice place to sip your morning coffee. We were lucky enough to see a mama deer with her babies strolling through the woods in front of the cottage. Perfect! Thank you!

The house was perfect for a quiet getaway weekend for two friends to catch up with each other. Allen was extra thoughtful leaving us a welcome note, snacks and allowed for early access and late check out. The house was immaculate, warm and cozy on a very chilly weekend. Allen was quick in response to several questions. Would definitely return

What an enchanting cottage. We were in town for a family wedding and this cottage was the perfect location for us. We were greeted by a hand written note from our host, Allen and snacks. What a great first impression. The cottage is immaculate, cosy and comfortable. The garden is naturally beautiful with areas for play, dining or enjoying an evening bonfire. I highly recommend Secret Garden for a relaxing stay. Jane K

Lovely Cottage Get-Away

A long-time friend and I met here, half-way between Michigan and Wisconsin. It was the perfect location...close to Paw Paw Lake, hiking paths, shopping, restaurants, and Lake Michigan beaches. The grounds were extremely well-kept with daffodils blooming, a new grill, clean outdoor tables, and plenty of parking. Inside was perfect for us as we each had our own bedroom with very comfy beds, a kitchen we could easily cook our own meals in, a nice hot shower, top-notch decorating, and super clean through-out. Allen, the manager, was very good about communicating how to lock/unlock the door and get ahold of him if needed. All-in-all, Maplewood Cottage was wonderful!
