Family Beach Cottage

Come and enjoy this seasonal beach cottage that is a 7 minute walk to the beautiful and private Old Colony Beach. Great for families (kid-friendly) or if you just want an adults-only trip. Sleeps up to 6 comfortably with three bedrooms (queen, queen, full/twin bunk bed in different rooms). There is a separate pull-out queen-sized sofa bed in the living room. Air conditioners are conveniently located in every bedroom and the main living space (kitchen/living room) to keep you cool (during the Summer only). A porch lined with screened windows allows for a gets a great breeze and an especially peaceful environment at night. The backyard offers privacy with large trees to the rear of the year. A six-burner grill with supplied propane will allow you to have cook-outs all week long. Outdoor shower for quick rinses after enjoying the beach. The kitchen comes with a Keurig-pod compatible coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster oven to offer a variety of ways to make your cooking and cleanup simple. This property is has no heating. Located in a private beach community with one of nicest beaches in CT. Beach passes are provided for beach access. During the peak season, beach activities include Saturday morning yoga ($5 charge) & free Saturday night kids' movies.

Within 25 miles of Mohegan Sun Casino, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Block Island Ferry, multiple vineyards, Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, Essex Steam Train, Gillette Castle State Park, Niantic Bay Boardwalk, Florence Griswold Museum.

Great place to stay, location was awesome able to walk to the beach. House had everything you needed and more! Beds were comfortable and home was clean! Check in was seamless and Peter was very responsive to any questions! Would stay here again.

Great location

Great location for our day trips and easy check in. Didn’t go during a time to enjoy the beach but would be a great house for summer trip.

This house is so cute! The pictures definitely don’t do it justice. Plenty of room for me and my teenage kids to hang, cook, play games and have our own space when we wanted. I love morning walks down to the beach. House is well equipped with everything you need to cook. Check in and check out where very easy and Host was communicative.

Quaint beach cottage

Our stay was relaxing in this cute beach home. Everything was very clean. Owners were quick to answer our questions. The beach at the end of the block was beautiful. I enjoyed taking a walk every morning around the neighborhood. Short drive to Saybrook, Mystic, Foxwoods and restaurants. We look forward to visiting again.

Amazing beach getaway!

We had a group of 4 that stayed there (1 couple and 2 friends) very comfortably but we could have easily fit 7. House was fully cleaned and in a perfect location - quick 5-7 min walk to the private beach. It was easy to social distance on the beach (given Covid) even on the weekends. Friendly beach community. Close drive to ice cream, seafood restaurants, and major supermarket chains. Fully stocked kitchen. We spent lots of time in the screened in porch (when it got buggy at night). The hosts were awesome - very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back next beach season!

A cozy spot in a great location

We had a lovely stay at this home. The house was clean and comfortable and had lots of different seating areas so we didn't feel like we were always on top of one another. The location is great! We were there in the off-season, but I have no doubt that this would be a very special community in the summertime. It's a quick and easy walk down the street to a lovely beach. Mystic and the aquarium made for a lovely day trip that was easy to get to from the location.

Great place

The place has 3 bedrooms and a pull out bed in the couch in the living room. The cottage is deceptively spacious. The beach was large, the sand was great, and the water is great. It is walking distance to Sound View. I may book it again next year.

Old Lyme CT beach cottage

We enjoyed our week at the beach. The beach cottage was just right for our family. The location was great. We walked to the beach every day. The beach area was nice too. We also enjoyed walking to the carousel. All together - it was a lovely week at the beach.

Great beach vacation for families

This is such a great vacation house for families with young kids. There’s a private beach just a short walk or bike ride away. There’s more beaches a short drive away as well so there are lots of options. The homeowners have everything there you need there and they were very responsive answering any questions we had and recommending places to go and see. The house was the perfect size for a single family was super clean and had a great screened in porch and private backyard. We had a great week only wish we could of stayed longer. Highly recommend staying here at Peter and Heather’s.

Cute beach cottage

Cute beach cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing week at the beach. Screened in porch is great for early morning coffee and bugless evenings. 1 bathroom can be a challenge with 4 adults, but we made it work. Clean, easy check in. We know the beach so we knew that this community has golf carts people use to shuttle to the beach, Cart is NOT included here, however I did rent a cart locally for the week which made it very easy to get around. Highly suggested. Would definitely rent again!

Even better than the pictures!

Super cute place. Short walk to the beach. Very quiet and extremely comfortable place overall. The pictures do not do this place justice. Very charming atmosphere and lovely attention to details! My two little boys especially loved all the games, books and activities.

The house was perfect. It was nice they had an outdoor shower perfect for after a day at the beach.

The owner was great. They had everything you needed. They even provided a cute welcome gift with a breakdown of their favorite places. Mystic is close by and the family enjoyed the aquarium there. The beach is very clean.
