Our family enjoyed our stay at The Artist House. It was clean and cozy. A beautiful home near Louisville. The hot tub and the fire pit were added bonuses after days of sightseeing in the area.

Just enough country quiet

We stayed 5/14-5/21/26. The house is charming and very well maintained. A beautiful deck and hot tub overlooking a wooded back area led to mornings starting with bird songs! Our hosts were very easy to contact and responded quickly. Nicely equipped kitchen gave us the option to prepare meals. Country setting with just a short drive to main thruways. Would highly recommend

Perfect getaway

My wife and I had a great time staying here for Mother’s Day weekend. The stay was close to perfect!! The house was super clean and we had everything we needed. The host was absolutely amazing and took care of all the details. Even when we had a rough ride into town which caused us to be late. The hosts has even thought to offer us a small grocery run so we would have time to rest alittle before the funeral.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hosts were very responsive and made everything smooth from start to finish, which we really appreciated. The property itself was charming and inviting- perfect for our group of six adults. Normally not a big deal but the TV was a little small for March Madness viewing though. One of our favorite parts was the outdoor space. The bonfire setup was fantastic and made for several relaxing, memorable evenings. You are also far enough away from neighbors for a little outdoor karaoke. We didn’t end up using the hot tub but it was warm and ready to go. Just a tip for future guests- if you plan to grill bring your own charcoal.Inside the attention to detail really stood out. We loved the beautiful plants throughout the home. There was a gorgeous flowering plant on the table that looked so perfect we had to double check that it was real. The location was ideal for our bourbon trip. Grocery store is less than 2 miles away. It was easy to get around. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend! We will be back for the next bourbon tour.

We loved this property. This was an adult only trip. The location was perfect. It was off the beaten path, yet 15-20 min from downtown. Very serene. The house was spotless and cozy - however, we all had our own space. The hot tub was wonderful. It was in the low double digits our whole stay, but we managed to use the hot tub 2 our of our 3 nights. The kitchen was well stocked which allowed us to cook anything we needed. We made a few dinners and all breakfasts at the house. The water cooler was a great amenity. We made sure to fill up before we headed out for the day. I highly recommend this house for adults who are looking for a relaxing, low key getaway. The host was communicative and the requirements before check out were minimal - which was nice. 3br, 2 bath. 1 floor. Outdoor parking. Fireplace. 1 small tv in the living room (no other tvs on the property). Outside there is a hot tub and a fire pit and hammock. As it was cold out, we only utilized the hot tub, but the back yard area is very inviting. I had rec'd a wine glass as a gift while I was there and it accidentally got put in the dishwasher and I left it. When I realized what had happened, the host was amazing and quickly responded that she would mail it to me. I got it about a week later. I was so appreciative! That was above and beyond.

Our group of senior ladies have rented several houses in various cities over the years, this by far was the best. If we return to Louisville we will try to rent the same house. We did have a slight communication glitch, the owner said he sent me the access code to get in the house, but he did not. I double checked my texts and emails. I had my "co-pilot" call him as we neared Louisville, at first, he seemed a little irritated but then he did give her the code and was much more cordial. Keep in mind, this was a very minor occurrence, and the house was perfect for us in all ways. G.Donovan
