The cottage was adorable and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect. Located in a nice neighborhood. The kitchen could use some pots, a tea kettle and a dish pan. It only has a few plates and mugs so a dish pan would help with keeping the few items clean. I didn’t receive any instructions for checking in or checking out. I didn’t get the WiFi password until our 2nd day there. We had a great stay but those few things mentioned would have made our stay there perfect!! It is a charming cottage.

Great location to stay for a couple days! Walkable to parks, restaurants, coffee, and shops. Very easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay again!

Overall we really enjoyed the experience staying in this cute little cottage. Just a few minor improvements would make this place even better. The bathroom could really use some more storage space or shelving and hooks on the bathroom door for used towels.The rear patio door needs some kind of window covering or shade, without it you are completely exposed walking around insideThe beds were very comfortable but the comforter used was really hot, would be great in colder weather. Would love to have had some other blanket options for the warm summer weather. Dishwashing would have been easier with a small dish drain, and a provided sponge.

Perfect Little Cape Spot

You could tell the house was very recently fully updated. Very clean, up to date and comfortable. Great location that was actually walking distance to shops and food. Would happily stay there again.

Place looked exactly as pictured and was perfect for what we needed! Very close to the shops / food and a quick uber or a walk to the beach. Communication could have been better as no one answered whenever I called and when I subsequently emailed they said I should call for anything urgent. Other than that no issues!

Cozy Osterville Stay

My two friends and I had a very positive stay overall. The apartment is very cute and conveniently located ~5 mins from downtown Osterville on foot. It is a very small space, but can accommodate up to four guests between the two bedrooms. A couple things to note:- Beach towels are not provided, but there are two beach chairs and an umbrella available- The shampoo/conditioner provided are very tiny; I'd advise bringing your own- We had some issues connecting to the wifi initially, but were able to resolve it after contacting the hostOverall a nice place to stay on the Cape!

Location is great.Windows didn’t work(installed incorrectly)2nd bed is 4’ off the ground . Picture doesn’t do it justice Kitchen trash can is too small. Bathroom too small to have one.Fridge door doesn’t open all the way because of cabinet layout.A/C doesn’t work well and when it’s running the vent pipes bump against the water pipes and make an awful noise.Black ants around

the house is small but cute, perfect size for two couples staying. there wasn't a lot of seating, especially outside, it would have been nice to have outdoor furniture. there was also only four of everything for dinning, which did make it hard to cook. I wouldn't call it a fully stocked kitchen. the house was clean and cool, the AC worked perfect. the street it is on is quiet as well. the high bed is weird, but functional with a storage area at the foot of it. kinda dangerous if you have to get out of bed in the middle of the night. overall the place did exactly what it needed to do. close to shops and restaurants, clean and comfortable. some additions to make it more comfortable could be used, but not needed! we would rent this place again just knowing the above and to plan accordingly!

The house was much smaller than it looked in photos. The inside trim was all unfinished; one of the bed frames was made plywood. The trim and bed frame were very easy to get splinters on, the bed frame needed to be completely covered to be safe. The trash can in the kitchen was very small. The first morning we woke up there, a man knocked on our door and told us he had to “drain the cesspool.” He proceeded to start digging up the front lawn, and told us he might need to come inside the house. A construction crew was present for the duration of our stay and made parking quite difficult at times. The cutting boards were covered in black mold. The bathroom door did not shut all the way. The couch, which was advertised as a 5th sleeping spot, was hard as a rock and falling apart at the back; it was too small for an adult to sleep on. It felt like this place had been raised in 48hrs, and was being rented before it had been finished. The grill, WiFi, stove, and air conditioning all worked great, and the mattresses were comfortable. I would not recommend this place if other options are available.

I’m already addressing these issues directly with my maintenance crew and management team to ensure they’re resolved quickly. I’ll be updating our listing to more accurately reflect the cottage’s true size and to make a note about the bed. Since this was the first property in our HOA to be renovated, there have been ongoing updates, and the septic issue arose after an inspection as part of the broader improvement process.We’ll be repairing the bathroom door immediately, as well as painting and fixing the built-in bed. While this home is one of the most affordable rentals in Osterville, and we’ve kept rates low while continuing to make upgrades, I hope you still found some value in your stay. I truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us make this a better and more comfortable place for future guests, and one of the best spots near town to enjoy Osterville."
