*****There is construction on the upper Carlsbad beach sidewalk until late spring 2026 and then again during the winter and spring of 2027. They are replacing stairways to the beach and widening sidewalks. Nearby access points to the beach are still open and the lower seawall sidewalk on the beach is open. We are happy to confirm details and progress.*****

Welcome to Vacation in Carlsbad's newest property - Umi House! Luxuriate in our renovation while enjoying all the best that Carlsbad has to offer! You are directly across Carlsbad Blvd from the world-class beaches and popular surfing spots of Carlsbad. Stroll, walk, run or bike along Whalewatcher's Walk into the Village to enjoy its shops and restaurants. 2 minute walk to Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse for lunch, happy hour and sunset dinners. Only 2 miles to Legoland, the Flower Fields and the outlet mall. Less than a mile to full-service Von's grocery store.

Sparkling clean with comfortable furnishings! Your private balcony has a fire pit and gas grill. Our kitchens are fully stocked and have Bosch appliances. We have hard-wired wi-fi access points for our super fast reliable internet (250Mbps). The master bedroom has a Cal king bed and private bath, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room - all luxury linens provided. There is one oversized, reserved parking space.

We also provide beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards.


Day Trips to: Legoland - San Diego Zoo - Sea World - San Diego Safari Park - Disneyland - La Jolla Cove - casinos - wineries.

Shop at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall or at The Shoppes at Carlsbad.

I don’t know why you would want to stay anywhere else in the Carlsbad area. If we ever do another Carlsbad vacation, I will 100% contact Nancy again. Very communicative, clean property, loved all the beach items that were able to use.

Outstanding in every way!

This place is absolutely beautiful! The location is excellent. The apartment is spotless and welcoming. The management was on top of everything. I had to call them for a few things, which had nothing to do with anything not functioning properly.They answered the phone immediately and provided me with information so that we could return to having fun on our vacation. Everything about this rental is a perfect 10. I do hope we can get back there again.

Sandpiiper - a very nice find near Carlsbad Village

The Sandpiper was a great place to stay. It is centrally located, across the street from the beach and the board walk and a 0.8 mile walk into Carlsbad Village. The host has nicely furnished the place with high-quality necesseties - everything we needed was provided. The host was so easy to deal with - great communications and so so responsive. We enjoyed our stay so much we will be returning shortly for another 5-6 days.

This tops them all!

The description of this property details it well. Our stay exceeded expectations. The patio, with grill and firepit, was where we enjoyed our time the most. The location is excellent
steps from the beach (and a beach lifeguard station). Much appreciated was a clean and private garage beneath our unit, beach chairs and all amenities available, and plenty of beach towels inside the condo. As for amenities inside the unit, everything we needed, and more, was provided. Many thanks, too, to Nancy, the manager, with whom all communications were clear and helpful. Looking forward to planning our return visit to this exceptional rental!

Perfect Ocean Getaway

We came to visit our son at Camp Pendleton. It was an amazing location that was sparkling clean and upscale decorative touches! All appliances were top notch, and everything worked great to cook in and enjoy a dinner on the patio while listening to waves crash on shore! We stay in many different VRBO’s and would highly recommend this place! Oh and the beds were very comfy!

Nancy and the Vacation at Carlsbad team were amazing to work with; very accommodating and quick to respond. The location of the rental was great, and the balcony with the amazing view made it excellent. I hope to be able to stay at Sandpiper again soon.

I will never stay



any where else in Carlsbad! We had such a fantastic time staying here. All of the furnishings and appliances were top notch. We were very comfortable making our own meals here. The well stocked communal beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were very appreciated. The balcony and view were incredible. The gas heater came in handy for those chilly nights out on the balcony. Access to Carlsbad Village and all of the shops and restaurants that has to offer is easily within walking distance. The only downside I can think of is the traffic noise out front, but that goes along with being right on the beach pretty much anywhere in Carlsbad. We can not wait to return!

This unit has a perfect ocean view and is a newer property so everything inside is very stylish, new, and super clean. Property managers were very attentive and easy to communicate with. Will be going back for future vacations as is a hidden gem.

Coastal Relaxation

Good location. Clean. Newly renovated. Good amenities. Did a little cooking and had all that was needed. View from the patio is awesome. What a place to watch the sunset and to wake up to. Love Carlsbad and had a great time.

Paradise on the beach

How much better does it get than being right on the beach in a newly renovated, spotless condo? Owners are wonderful. Nancy, who is the property manager is a gem. She was as responsive as could be. We feel as if she became a friend. We even hung out together on the condo balcony watching fireworks on the 4th of July. The only request I would even make is to have some more comfortable chairs or a small loveseat next to the couch in the living room. Chairs were a little uncomfortable if watching a movie, etc. Place is perfect. We have already booked next year!!
