Lovely hosts who were so helpful and attentive. The home is beautiful, and the surrounding nature is definitely worth the stay. The creek is awesome and serene. I would definitely stay again!

The place was super organized and clean with everything you could need, very nice and tranquil location, the host lived next door and was readily available and communicative whenever any issue arose. As a family with small children and dog, it makes a huge difference to find a place as comfortable and easy as this! We will definitely be staying again.

This property was beautiful and exceeded our expectations! Plenty of space, very well equipped, beds are very comfortable, and the owner was so kind and gracious. He helped us out with some supplies and medical guidance we needed after my son had an accident while skiing at Kirkwood. We will definitely be back!

Dave was a great host. The house was beautiful. The location was a 10 minute drive to Sierra at Tahoe and an easy drive into town. We will recommend this property to our friends and book here again.

We had a great stay, two families and a dog. House was clean. Host was attentive. Location was convenient to hiking and groceries/coffee. Our host told us how to find a local waterfall which was an extra treat. It was also nice to be so close to the river.

Our home is centrally located between Kirkwood, Sierra and Heavenly. Easy flat access makes is nice during winter driving conditions.

Very quiet area, easy to get to. David provided a very thorough walk through. The walk to the creek in the backyard is wonderful, and so is the new hot tub!

What a wonderful experience. The host went the extra mile every day to ensure we had a great time, especially after he found out that it was my kids’ first time in snow - he made them a private sledding hill! The hot tub in the snow is a fantastic experience, and the home itself is perfect for two families with separate semi-private areas for 4-5 each plus a large common area with a lovely fireplace and board games. We got so lucky with this property.

This house is paradise found! The perfect family home with the warmest hosts imaginable. Big pros: super clean, kitchen has everything from bbq utensils, bake ware to spices, beds are SO comfy, luxurious steam shower, hot tub, grill, tons of recliners in family room, laundry, games and toys, boogie boards for the kids and the thing that makes it magical: a 2 acre meadow blooming with wildflowers that ends in a babbling river. Our hosts checked in on us every couple days to offer anything we needed to make the stay more comfortable. The location is great- very peaceful and 15 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, 20 minutes to some of the best beaches like Baldwin/Pope and 5 minutes from Paradise park (great lakeside for toddlers with a Wednesday farmers market!) One evening, A bear walked through our back lawn! This place is just the best!

This house was incredible! Plenty of room for our family of 9 and 2 dogs. Absolutely beautiful home and property with plenty of room to play inside and out. Everything you could need for your stay as well. The host was so kind! He worked with us as dates needed to be shifted, answered all questions personally and he welcomed us at the house for a tour and to answer any questions. He was also available if anything at all came up. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Gorgeous property, beautiful home. We came for Thanksgiving and our family of 7 and pups had more than enough space to hang out and spend a great holiday together. The property is gorgoeus, it was nice to wake up and walk over to the river to soak up the sun. The house is fully equipped with everything you need, pots, pans, seasonings, coffee maker, etc. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the jacuzzi was one of the highlights of our trip. Dave is incredibly welcoming and his tour of the house/property was a nice touch, his knowledge was much needed for us city folks. I appreciate his flexibility as schedules changed and we arrived in two groups instead of one. Will definitrly stay again when we return!

We had a lovely stay at this home and are very grateful for the experience. The main floor is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with an open kitchen that flows easily into the dining and living room. There are four bedrooms, two on the ground floor and two upstairs. This made a really nice set up for two families sharing the space. The backyard was a real highlight — having direct access down to the Truckee River was such a treat and added something truly special to our stay. We appreciated the friendly, welcoming presence of Dave, the owner, next door. During the snowstorm, he kept the driveway well cleared, which was a big relief. Overall, this was a warm, comfortable, and well-cared-for home that we would happily return to.

The property is amazing especially if you have a dog. Mowed trails take you to a spot on the river with swings and benches. The house has a hot tub, huge kitchen and living room and nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Plus the location was perfect for us in the country but just minutes away from Lake Tahoe. I would recommend it for anyone but especially dog owners.

This home was really that a home away from home . It was a great experience . You have gorgeous surroundings awesome views from sunrise to sunsets. The house sits on a beautiful property. With a creek running just a small walkway from the house. Loved how dog friendly they were.Also love how just a small drive away he could find a lot of restaurants and stores. I will definitely be coming back to this property.

10/10! We will happily rent this cabin on future Tahoe trips! Dave and Kathy are wonderful hosts. The communication was wonderful and prompt. The cabin was spacious, spotless and well appointed. There was plenty of room for our party of 6 adults and 1 infant. The location is just a few minutes to South Lake Tahoe, Stateline and Emerald Bay. Our group really enjoyed the hot tub (used it every night); and the property itself was quite large with beautiful scenery and direct access to a lovely stream/river. We really enjoyed relaxing by the stream in the early evening after the day's activities. Thanks to Dave and Kathy for making their property available through VRBO. We can't wait to return!

We loved the River House with Hot Tub in South Lake Tahoe. The location was great, easy to get around the area and for us, right down the road from family there. The grounds around the property are beautiful and the river access was a bonus. The house was spacious, clean, and welcoming. The kitchen was very well supplied for cooking, even for a large family. The hot tub was a great addition and a hit with our older grandchildren. We definitely recommend the River House and will definitely stay there again. Hosts Dave was very gracious and helpful. .
