This has been such a wonderful place to stay. The host goes out of his way to make sure you feel at home! The private beach access is such an amazing experience local restaurant nearby along with another local beach. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!
Arriving at Michel and Elisabeth's bungalow for our honeymoon was the absolute perfect way to truly unwind and start relaxing. They greeted us so warmly with refreshing drinks and had already thought of everything we could possibly need (hot shower, air conditioning, coffee maker, etc.)The bungalow was our own private slice of heaven. Waking up to the beautiful garden and having direct access to the private beach was a dream. It was the most serene and romantic setting imaginable. Michel and Elisabeth are truly wonderful hosts, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to continue our honeymoon. We will cherish the memories forever.
The bungalow is better than it looks in the pictures. 30seconds to the beach for walks, swims and sunset drinks. Air conditioning made it always comfortable. Kitchen basic but enough for us.
Had a great stay here while in Moorea. Great location and had everything we needed during our stay. Mingee the dog was also a great host while we were there she was always eager to walk with us down to the beach.
Michel and Elisabeth were awesome hosts. My wife was ill upon arrival and they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. When she was well enough to get out and about, Michel kept in touch with me via WhatsApp to check on her!I picked up a small blender locally and Michel provided me with various fruits for some great smoothies. The bungalow was cozy and what I expected for the price paid. As another guest noted, internet is spotty but we have an international plan with Verizon, so I was able to hotspot without any issue since cell coverage was great. Beach access is literally just out of the back yard. I spent many hours chilling there! All in all, if someone is into resorts, this is NOT your place. But if you're looking for privacy, awesome hosts and simple accommodations, Michel and Elisabeth's place is great. Oh, and Mindji the dog and her 2 buddies are great dogs for company when chilling on the beach!
This was a fabulous little bungalow slightly off the beaten path. It has a lovely outdoor area where you can sit and watch the sunset. Small, quaint and everything you need. Internet was a little sketchy at times. Would stay there again
The property is quant and has most of what you need. It is located pretty far from everything so transport is a must. The beach was a great little spot to sit and have you morning coffee or evening glass of wine.It has a good little snorkeling spot out the back gate and a 500m walk to the left down the beach. The Wi-fi is terrible to mostly non existent, so we recommend buying a prepaid sim card when you are in Papeete . Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay there very much.
The room is cosier than the pictures, warm lighting. The garden is beach front and very private. Recommend to have some sort of transport (we had a scooter).
We wish we could have stayed longer. The location was perfect, right on the beach and very close to the Temae public beach where the snorkeling is good. Thank you Michele! We hope to visit again.
Quiet, easy walk to Ocean front. Beautiful beach setting, swimming close by, owners very hospitable, lady of the house is bilingual English/French.
Kind, friendly and positive people.
Cozy little bungalow on the beach. We were able to watch the sunrise from the beach only a few steps from where we slept. Air conditioning was a nice treat for the hot humid nights. The hosts were very gracious and pleasant to deal with.
Our stay was beyond what we hoped for. Michel is a wonderful host. He helped us with advice and booking a beautiful sailing tour. And he let me practice my French.
Our only challenge was finding the property when we first arrived.
This bungalow was clean and quiet and having the beach right there was wonderful!
The owners own house was located right next to this bungalow on the same property, and that came as a surprise. But the owners where very kind and welcoming and although they were available if we needed them, they kept to themselves and let us enjoy the property as if it was our own.
Overall I would definitely recommend this buglalow and the location.
Everything was , for me, great here. Away from the majority of people and beautiful. Only downside was that the wifi didnt work most of the time. Hard to look up ferry schedules etc without it.
The property is as pictured. Super cute and comfy and great location - whale and dolphin watching out front. Adorable dog. The wifi signal isn't great if you're not in the right spot. Also I wouldn't plan on cooking large meals, but it's perfectly suitable for something easy. We would definitely recommend and go again. Miss this place already.
Our time at Michel's was simply magical! A simple, clean little cottage with very comfortable beds adjacent to a gorgeous beach makes this a perfect stay for us. Michel was a gracious host. He was very helpful in getting us oriented when we arrived and always checked in in case we needed anything. An added bonus was our host dog, Minjee! The only thing better than wandering on a gorgeous beach collecting shells and swimming, is having a happy dog along to play with! We were sad to leave and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else should we be lucky enough to return. Merci, Michel!
We concur with the comments made by others. The property is exactly as described on the listing. The owner (and gorgeous dog) made us welcome and then left us to enjoy the shared property as if it was our own. The 'glamping' style suited us perfectly and we spent many hours at the beach, using the furniture set out at the end of the garden. Between the markets and the local cafes we had everything we needed to eat and would return again. Merci Michel.
Morning coffee, evening drinks a few steps to the ocean
Perfect location, 1 mile walk to Temae Beach. Special bonus, sweet Michi dog. We also liked the garden area to play cards. It was like glamping as fridge and cold water sink were not in the kitchen, but in an outdoor room. Host Michel was very nice but limited English. 3.2 miles to Maharepa. We walked from Albert Transport by Manava Resort although Albert's wanted to drive us after renting a car.
Annabelle treated us like family. Air France lost our luggage in LAX. Anabelle fixed us up with a pair of Michel's shorts and other amenities, and stayed waiting for our luggage while we continued our honeymoon touring Moorea. Minjee was our friendly dog for 3 days in and out of the bungalow and when we walked through the garden to our own beach. Rustic glamping with all the necessities, that we loved. No exact address, but Michel is right there is only one place two driveways after Green Lodge (note Green Lodge has two driveways).
We enjoyed our stay very much. The proprietor was very kind. The accommodation was very comfortable for my niece and I. One review said the water is not drinkable, but the faucet in the bathroom, which is tall enough for a water bottle, is filtered. The refrigerator is in the lodging. A bigger sink to wash dishes is in a separate part of the building by the laundry. This is not a problem, at all. We saved money by cooking at home on the hotplate. The a/c works very well. I walked across the back yard each morning and sat in the chairs to watch the dawn over the ocean. It was lovely, very peaceful. I snorkeled well down the beach to the left. It is quite shallow and no fins necessary. I also snorkeled at Te'Mae. It was very easy, like a bathtub, at low tide. The current was much stronger at high tide and the reef is quite a ways out. Fins required. Bring your own gear. Motu Grill has the best fish at the cheapest price in the area. I am not a dog person, but the dogs here were great, no problems. I would stay here again if i get to come back to Moorea. If you arent a fancy resort type person, i highly recommend it.
