The home was absolutely beautiful. It was much larger inside than it appeared in the pictures. I was a perfect spot for my husband and I and our two children to stay at while skiing at Beech Mountain.

The view of the creek below was great. The Hobbit house was very unique and we loved that! We had one person in a wheelchair, so access was essential and it worked out perfectly. The host was very quick to respond. We would stay there again!

The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Everything we wanted and needed was in the home and in great shape. Despite an arctic blast, we still enjoyed access to the river and the trout that inhabit the backyard, all of which were still swimming when we left. The Hobbit House is truly unique. The decor and furnishings are very nice, as well as he outdoor area. The river is more of a creek, but overall we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return.

Really neat place, definitely stay if you are tired of the same old log cabin. Excellent kitchen, and HEATED FLOORS IN THE BATHROOM!

Beautiful setting

Hobbit Retreat was the perfect location for hiking the AT and for dining in Banner Elk. The sound of the river is wonderful from the outside seating areas, the kitchen was well-equipped and everything was clean and new!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Between the details of the woodworking, and the roaring of the river, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind for our family. Highly recommend.

We loved this neat hobbit themed house! The details were impressive. Very clean and comfortable! The river was fun and relaxing, my children enjoyed climbing on the rocks and wading in the water. I enjoyed the rocking chairs by the river. We hope to stay here again!
