Lovely large Ranch Style home, completely redone, just down the road from the Silos, just a few blocks from I35, easy access to the Waco Surf and Cable Park! It's just a half a mile to Valley Mills, where there is all kinds of Eateries, Bars, Shops, Malls, Fast Foods, Etc. This home has lots of space and plenty of beds for overnight guests! It is HANICAPPED accessible, going in the front door and from the back door and NEW WOOD DECK, taking you to a huge fire pit! The back yard has a huge Pecan Trees that provides tons of shade, and has a charcoal grill as well! Inside you will love the rustic décor and hardwood floors, and two large bathrooms! One bathroom has a walk in shower, great for wheelchair use. Four of the bedrooms are nice in size and have their own new Flat screen TV's. One bedroom is small but has its own TV as well! Kitchen is large and has a island for extra working space and a 6 person eating bar done in a creative rustic fashion with a rustic pendant light above! The dining room table will also seat 4 guests. The home has motion night lights through out the home, for night passage and safety, and charging outlets for easy charging of your cell phones! I named the Home, The South Fork Inn, because I sold a home in South Fork, Colorado, and brought a lot of my chairs and décor here to add the Old West, ranch style charm here! The utility room is huge, and also has an extra daybed there, and it's close to the kitchen! The front porch is completely enclosed and has its own mini split AC unit, as well as an electric fireplace, with wood logs, that looks and feels like an actual wood burning cast iron stove! This room contains 2 daybeds with pull out trundles, this room will sleep 4 folks! FLAT SCREEN TOO! There are lots of nice dishes, utensils, small appliances for you convenience as well! It has a toaster oven, Air Fryer, crockpot, sandwich maker, and so much more! Don't forget to try out the Custard Ice cream Shop, Katie's, around the corner on Valley Mills! Pets are welcome apon approval, must ask in advance. Fees are 40.00 a night per pet, no cats are allowed, and all other pets must get approved! Please note, there has been some buckling in a couple of areas on the floors due to past spring rains! These will be repaired once the ground drys up. shoukd not impact your stay, but wanted guests to be aware of it. Thanks for considering the South Fork Inn!

RAT FECES EVERYWHERE - DO NOT STAY HERE This was by far the worst lodging experience I have ever had. When we were getting ready for bed, we discovered rat feces in multiple beds and throughout the house. There were also ants in the bed and a cockroach in the shower. The condition of the property presented a serious sanitation and health concern, so we left as soon as we discovered the extent of the issue. We immediately contacted the host to report the conditions, and they did not respond for 18 hours. By the time the host did respond, rather than addressing the concerns, she focused on the fact that we had used the utilities, including the shower and electricity, and that we had not recognized the issue sooner. The host’s response was extremely unhelpful and, in our experience, unprofessional. Vrbo customer support ultimately had to get involved to help resolve the situation and obtain a refund. I have reported this property to the health authority.

Please disregard this review, this was a party of 10, that booked for 1 night, they arrived in the evening, 7:30 they brought in food and drinks, they had 2 cakes , they all showered. Yes, they were there for 4 hours. They sent me a messages at 1 am saying they left the home, I saw the message the next morning, and I did respond. They saw some mouse droppings, not rat, but obviously put them on 2 beds in 2 different rooms, way apart from each other. Its very rare for a mouse to poop on beds. So i felt like this was staged. They didnt mention anything about ants or a cockroach, period. They partied, used my supplies, and left trash and cakes, dirtied the towels, and then didnt bother to turn off both ACs left on 61, or the lights . This matter has been discussed with Vrbo, I even sent them a partial refund, but they wanted the total amount back! The mouse hole was fixed, and everything, including bedding, commercially cleaned, and sanitized. Some folks will go to great distance to get a refund, and they even told me that they would do this if I didnt comply ! I'm so glad the most everyone absolutely loves this house and its space, and do return year after year!

Ranch home was very comfortable, clean, well appointed, kitchen well-equipped, very convenient but removed from downtown Waco. Large back yard with a very large parking area. Zero recommendations for improvement! Definitely would stay again.

House had a very distinct dog smell. Broken glass from fixtures on the back porch. Not very suited for children. Owner charged us 347 for damage without photographs. Location is convenient to Waco.

I sent you over 13 photos, of broken items. And the horrible pillows you left in my home, and took mine. My pillows are all covered with protective zippered covers, which are gone as well! You cost me a trip to Waco to bring replacement pillows and chairs, and more supplies. There is no way the home had a dog smell of any kind! There hasn't been a guest with a dog there since last year! You never mentioned any issues at all with the home, but you brought 5 kids with you and left behind food and filth! THIS HOME IS IN WACO! I feel this review is deceptive and will contact Vrbo, to have it removed !

Plenty of beds! Very centrally located! Be prepared for street/neighborhood noise, construction, and busy roads. House had some charm but it is older, dark and needed some updates.

Its not dark if the lights are on, I'm thinking you experienced an electrical outage during a crazy storm we had, good thing it was at night time, and was just off for 3 hours. But there is lots of light in the home, yes the home was built in the 40s, but has new floors,windows, and lots of modern appliances! I'm glad you had a good time, and sorry for the inconvenience of the storm, glad I was able to keep you updated!

Great house and a great host!

We loved staying here for homecoming. We are all BU alumni and enjoyed being so close to campus. We used the fire pit both nights we were there! There’s plenty of beds and the property is super close to H‑E‑B.

Nice big place

The place was perfect for our needs. Little league team of 10 year olds in town for a tournament. Lots of sleeping room and backyard space.

So much fun!

I absolutely love this property. There was plenty of room. It was clean. It was well put together. Everything worked as it should come and had all the amenities for us. Would 110% recommend this place to other others and if we ever do go back to Waco, definitely staying here again.

Glad you stayed, and thanks for the review, I never had a complaint at all about towels! I know I have a ton of them! Lots of big and thick ones too! There are no raggedy towels, I check them quite often! I would of thought you would be happier to have lots of clean and enough ! With this being said, would of been nice to have more stars on your review!

Wacoo Retreat

Property was a great location close to area attractions. The house had been closed up for awhile and was dusty especially when we opened up trundle beds. The AC wasn't working so after the day warmed up it was very uncomfortable. Overall it served our group and we had a great time in Waco.

Hey Barbara, really sorry about the AC, its a brand new system, I wish you had said something! It had been cold, so the AC hadnt been used, but the next guests that came in , after you left, let me know it wasnt coming on! I sent my maintenance guy over, all it was ,the breaker was off! It was a simple fix, not sure why it was flipped off, but all you had to do is let me know! I would of had him out there right away! Im glad my place met your needs, I was really hoping for a 5 star review, well maybe next time! Communication is always good where ever you stay!

Great Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious cottage. We had a wide age range of family and friends and there was plenty of space for all needs to be met. The hostess was responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend.

Property manager very nice. Responds quickly. Location was convenient but heavy traffic on road. House is a little quirky but we had a good time.

Dove Hunt

There was plenty of space for all of the guys. It was just as it was described. We would use it again in the future for dove hunts.

This fixer upper, needed lots of work, but had so much space, so I went to work, and updated with new windows, floors, appliances, added new mini split air condition to front porch area, etc. I love to fix up older homes and and bring a whole new look to them! This home has certainly made quite a transition! I hope you find everything cozy and comfortable during your stay here! Debbie

This home needed so much love and updating, but the huge amount of square feet and a huge backyard, with huge Pecan trees, made it so appealing for holding larger groups of folks! The fact that it was down the street from the Silos, also made this location Ideal for followers of the Fixer Uppers show with Chip and Joanna Gains! Magnolia Table is just on the other side of I35 as well! This home was already set up for handicap guests too! It has a ramp going into the home and one on the back deck! It also has a roll in shower with seat in the shower! Lots of area and lots of privacy, makes this home a sure to please, stay!

Handicap ramps, in entrance, and back porch! Huge pet friendly back yard with huge Pecan, shade trees! TV's in all rooms for private enjoyment!
