This beachfront duplex has everything to make this the best vacation ever! Recognized by VRBO as premier host property, Linda's Lanai features a shared pool and hot tub, extended driveway for multiple cars or a boat, covered parking and washer and dryer. Linda's Lanai West has 3 floors with 5 bedrooms, three of which have breathtaking oceanfront views with their own private patio. The space sleeps 15 and has a large common area with a full kitchen, living room and dining area. The living room couch pulls out to a queen size bed. A private deck leads around the pool area directly to the uncrowded beach for easy access and your own personal spot in paradise! When heading back from the beach, the private walkway features a rinse station for yourself and beach items. For further rinsing off, private outdoor showers are located on the ground floor. An outdoor gas grill is available for cooking the day's catch and enjoy dinner on the back patio pollywood dining table with chairs overlooking the beautiful ocean waves. Have a large family? Look into renting both sides of Linda's Lanai allowing for 10 bedrooms, sleeping 28 with 8 bathrooms. Connecting doors can allow guests easy access to both sides making this a fantastic site for your yearly family reunion! Fleas and Wasp not kept up for the price

I've never stayed at a place where I felt like we were being checked up on. The host could have come in and I would have introduced my friends. . Fleas in the living room and 1st floor bedroom. The wasp had several huge nest on the deck. Would not stay there again!

Great beach house with lots of elbow room

This was a family trip so we had grandparents, parents, adult kids and babies. The house was perfect for each of us to have our own space. The house was very quiet and spacious. The large dining room table was great for all of us to eat together. The open living area was great for all of us to gather. The home is older but clean. Lots of space for parking cars (we had 6). All appliances are new except the refrigerator but we had no problems with it. The A/C was cold even on the 3rd floor. The views are great although you aren't able to see the beach area from the 1st floor deck but you can see the water. The pool water was cool and very clean. The walk out to the beach is great and the area just before the beach is great for leaving beach stuff close the beach. We would definitely rent this house again!

Beautiful house and view

The view of the beach was amazing. The house was very nice and we had plenty of room! The host was incredibly! We didn’t have enough bath towels for everyone so I messaged her and asked if we could get anymore and with an hour she had delivered more towels to the front door. The house overall was great, it was very clean!

Great Vacation Spot

Our family had a great stay! The owners answered any questions we had prior to coming. The house was spacious and had many great views. The pool was awesome and had a short walk to the beach. This house provided everything we needed in the kitchen, games, pool rafts, etc. The dollar general was very close and had most of what we needed including alcohol. If possible I’d recommend booking both sides. We shared our side with another group who was luckily very kind and it worked out well. If you’re staying on the 3rd floor I’d recommend bringing a fan. Warm welcome with a welcome sign, wine and nuts. Definitely recommend!

Family vacation 2024

The best part was all the ocean views that this beautiful home offered. The worst part was the neighbors... but when renting a duplex, you often get not so desirable neighbors. This was no fault of the owners. They were wonderful and the communication with them was easy.

Perfect

Spent a long weekend with four of my closest friends and this house was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own room. Great views from the deck, clean, quiet, and excellent location.

Christmas by the Sea

My whole family of 8 had a wonderful time at Emerald Isle in the property. The house was perfect for all of us to be comfortable and to gather for meals and family time. We all loved the hot tub since the pool and the ocean were cold--it was December after all. One of the best things for all of us was the fact the house was on the beach. We enjoyed long walks and sitting on balconies watching the waves.

Great beach location

The house was nice. It was beachfront with a nice pool and hot tub which the family enjoyed. Outside hose and ahowers helped keep the sand out if the house. The first floor bedroom was great for grandparents not wanting to climb extra stairs. Lots of beautiful walks on the beach. Thank you for sharing.

Very Nice & Loved the Beach

Very comfortable for our family of 9 adults and 3 children. Very clean. Great location. Very little traffic and plenty of room for our family on an uncrowded beach. Enjoyed the views of the ocean. Some minor inconveniences initially but the owners were very responsive in meeting our needs. Gave the property 5 stars. Will consider staying here in the future.

Perfect for a large family.

An Emerald Isle Treasure

From booking to boarding to beaching, this jewel on Emerald Isle shines brightly. The process was smooth, the lodging was open and airy with spectacular views and sounds of the rippling waves and the sun/moon-lit ocean, and everything in the condo was spotless and conveniently placed. Added pleasures were the pool and hot tub, the incredibly friendly islanders, and the local eateries. Our ages ranged from 9 to 73 and each of us had a most fun and precious time.

Wonderful family vacation home

Great house for large family, easy beach access, parking for our 5 vehicles, nice pool, spacious balcony for sitting outside and storing our beach gear. Plenty of seating for dining inside. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware. I do suggest bringing a large cooler to keep outside for storing extra drinks. The grill works but is pretty old and rusty . For our large group it would have been nice to have some extra bath towels so I would bring some with you and kitchen hand towels.

Nice house with pool steps from beach

We were a family of five adults and had a couple friends stay one of the nights. It was nice to have our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The weather wasn't good for half the stay, but the house was comfortable and we made the most of it. The pool and hot tub are nice but since you're sharing with the other half of the house it probably is best when you go with a big group and rent both sides. I love that there are lots of restaurants on Emerald Isle but the kitchen is well equipped to make nice meals as well. The hosts are very responsive and help in any way they can. We would stay here again!

Family Vaca

Our family enjoyed our stay. This was our second time staying here. The sleeping arrangements are perfect for our big family. We love that it’s right on the beach and easy to run the baby up for a nap. The house stayed nice and cool the entire time. Our big family never ran out of hot water. The layout was also very nice for early risers to start the day without waking other family members. The host thoughtfully had small coolers available, ice packs, and beach chairs and toys. We were able to do laundry on site and the large dining table perfectly accommodated our family. There was plenty of room for our large family to park and our dog loved the trip as well. There is a Dollar General and convenience store with a grill about a block away so we did not have to go far for an easy lunch/breakfast or forgotten items. It was the perfect place to step away from the hustle of life and relax.

Long weekend is too short

We stayed at Linda’s Lanai for a long weekend with our children and son-in-law. It was one of our favorite memories to date. Plenty of room to spread out. Fully stocked kitchen. A pool and hot tub in the back with the ocean just a few steps from the deck. Our only complaint was that we had to leave. :( What a good, refreshing weekend!!

Melissa and Jody made Carteret County their home after living in Central and Western North Carolina. They have truly immersed themselves in the Salt Life! Jody, a native Marylander and avid home chef, has become very knowledgeable of local seafood and collects his own blue crabs, shrimp and clams. Summer weekends are often spent enjoying Salt Life. In the fall, a Jeep ride on the beach followed by a low country boil is a great way to spend the evening!

What separates this beach rental from many of the others, is this property provides all of the amenities to make this the best beach vacation ever! Recognized as a VRBO premiere 5 star rental, three of the five bedrooms have sliding glass doors with spectacular, unobstructed beach and ocean views. The fully stocked kitchen has all of the cookware and dinnerware you could possibly need. The private pool and hot tub are only accessible to Linda's Lanai East and West guests and sits down inside a private deck walkway for privacy. Boogie boards and beach toys are available to guests. The wooden deck extends around the pool straight to the beach for easy access. There are two stations on the deck to the beach, one has a bench to sit down and organize and the other has a shower station. There are additional out door showers on the ground floor between the house and the pool and that is also where the gas grill is located. There is covered parking for two vehicles and an extended driveway allows for additional parking or boat parking. The ground floor contains a laundry room with washer and dryer.
