We had 8 guys so bedrooms were only queens or king beds, which isnt always ideal. Outside of house and porch area could use some TLC. Also, main living room TV did not have basic cable so we could not watch the Olympics, which was not ideal. Otherwise, location worked great for our golfing and other items worked as should. thanks!

Less Than Expected

Nice enough house. I was informed by the owner that he would give me the key code to the home 24 hours in advance of arrival. He did not. His realtor manager hesitated to give it to me, stating the same as he, but this time it was past the 24- hour time period. The realty manager informed us that the owner was overseas. I'm not sure what that had to do with our stay. We finally did receive the code. You have to shine a light on the key pad, day or night, as the pad is too dark to read the numbers.... In the largest bedroom, one side of the bedside lamps only works if you plug it in. The switch doesn't work. All beds, except the bunks, are extremely too soft, like they are too old. There is a 2 gullies in each bed. Even if you try to prop yourself up to the top of the bed, everyone who stayed said they slid back down... The septic tank seems to need to be serviced or something. We sat out on the porch and heard a rumbling sound, then a loud exhaust, and then a gagging smell from what could only be the septic tank that badly needs servicing. This was constant throughout the stay.... One last thing, the tea kettle was mistakenly placed on the stove top element and ruined the kettle. The stove top was cleaned up and remedied.... Other than that, this home was close to our wedding venue, which is what we needed. Thank you.

Amazing little home away from home

We absolutely loved our time here! A great place with plenty of room for at least two families. We have already talked about coming back. If you and your family love that lake life this place is for you!

Fantastic lake views

Wonderful accommodations. Near to everything in Lake Placid. Michael was a wonderful host providing lots of extras in this terrific home. More than enough room for all in our group to spend time together and also for each couple to have privacy when they wanted it. Beautiful sunsets and views of the lake from the back deck. Wish we were able to stay longer. We'll be back!

Clean & Beautiful Lake House

This was a perfect spot for a 5-day retreat. While we didn't have time to use any of the amenities, there were plenty to choose from. Great lake views from the main floor and all the bedrooms & bathrooms were well appointed. Would definately use again.

My family and I had an amazing stay at the lake house. The sunsets are breathtaking and neighborhood is peaceful. Micheal is an excellent host even before our stay started he was willing to answer all of my annoying questions lol. One tip however, bring bug spray. At no fault of the host the lake gives off a lot of bugs.

Family reunion

We loved the house and the location very much. It was perfect for our family. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions. The only problem we had was that housekeeping was very stingy with supplies and we ended up having to buy quite a lot of things that are normally supplied. And they didn’t have any dish towels at all. The carafe for the coffee maker is the wrong size, but we were able to make it work.

Best House we have stayed in!!

Here for a race, Michael is the best host! The house was very clean, and had everything we needed!! We stay at a lot of rentals all over the US and this is by far the best! We will be returning just to vacation here!

Fun for the whole family

My kids absolutely loved this house! It’s like we had our own private beach for the weekend with calm water they could stand and play in. The house was beautifully decorated and the master bedroom was so comfortable! Can’t wait to go back!

There was a LOT of insects on the outside of the house. I'm the morning my car would be covered in them. The house was fantastic. I would stay here again if there were not soo many insects. Not the owners fault. They were great. Had one issue and they came out that day to fix it. Really responsive.

Not Thoroughly Cleaned

The Pro’s of this house - the upstairs family area and dining area were big and comfortable. The view out the back of the lake was very nice with a beautiful view of the sunset. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of several areas in the house and on the porches. When we opened the silverware drawer we found a food stained cloth on top of some of the items plus several plates in the cupboard had food on them. After seeing this we washed every item we were going to use and kept them on the counter so we knew which ones were clean. The upper and lower porches were both covered with dust and dirt so we had to clean all the tables and chairs plus sweep all of the concrete areas plus many of the chairs we weren’t comfortable sitting on since they still looked dirty. There were some type of small pieces of something on the downstairs carpet that we picked up and threw away. The front porch not cleaned before our stay either. Several lamps did not work. It appeared to us that the focus of the housecleaning staff was the bedrooms and bathrooms and that was it. We also felt that the stairs to the upstairs were dangerous because there is no handrail. In addition there appeared to be a leak in the downstairs bathroom that was deteriorating the lower step of the stairs. We would not stay there again.

Beautiful, 4 bedroom + bunk room. Clean & updated

Nice size lake for water sports. Close boat ramp. Clean & updated house with cute decor. Lots of space for a group. Had everything you need. Great dock & beach area. We had a great time. Will definitely book it again! Thanks.

Just Like Home!

What a super house...it felt just like home. The house was so well appointed with so many extra niceties. Love Clay Lake, the water was warm and the kids loved it. We will stay here again in the future.
