We came as guests and we leaved as friends. Eladio is an amazing host and he's got a pure dedication to make people happy. His passion for the Costa Rica and its wildlife and nature is contagious. Beautiful rustic paradise

Eladio's property was beautiful and overall a good experience. The natural surroundings and pool were truly paradise, especially being away from all the traffic in nearby Liberia. Eladio was very welcoming and kind.

Excellent wildlife and hiking tours

Eladio is a wonderful guide and host. He drives you in a landcruiser to the most off the beaten track to experience authentic Costa Rica areas. The roads are rough and long but well worth the views and experience with wildlife and waterfalls that no tourists get to see. The accommodation is rustic like an alpine hike hut and pool and grounds are nice. Highlights swimming in a waterfall, holding baby crocodile, and viewing endangered

Eladio was an amazing host & guide

I brought my son on a Father son trip & Eladio & his wife treated us like family. Eladio knew just where to take us to see so many animals. We went to the rain forest & got to experience an exclusive hot spring. I would definitely recommend staying at Eladio & Vanessa's place!

Beautiful Property!!

We had a wonderful stay at Eladio’s place. Eladio and his family are amazing hosts and Eladio was there for anything that we needed or asked.Overall the property is wonderful, lush, the pool is amazing and the iguanas are extremely entertaining. We loved this very homey abode and were very comfortable here!It would be an advantage to have a vehicle as you’re not close to amenities but Eladio will take you places and is an excellent tour guide.The beds could use a little update but the entire place and surroundings far more than made up for it!

Eladio is a great host , and his love and knowledge of Costa Rica’s Eco System is Excellant. The 7 hour tour of the rain forest was fabulous. I’m in my seventies but in excellent health had no problem. But if out of shape I wouldn’t recommend it. His private beach excursions highly recommended. He also offers boat tours for wildlife.The grounds & pool certainly were a welcome sight. I stayed in the 2 floor house it’s rustic. There is also a one story cottage which is modern. Eladio is more than willing to transport you to restaurants or shopping, nothing in walking distance. Having a car would have been helpful but not necessary. Had a great time.

Amazing

We spent our last 2 days out of our 7 day trip at eladios and the tour we took with Eladio ended up being our favorite part of the the trip. Eladio and his family are very welcoming and good vibes all around. The tour was an unforgettable very special experience. If you're looking for a tour away from the crowds and other tourists and you want to support the locals and taste authentic Costa Rican cuisine Eladios is the perfect place for you. Also the place was rustic, giant iguanas and beautiful birds and a very special spot. We can't wait to go back and see Eladio again.

If are looking for a true "tico" experience, Eladio, is a master host. He lives life to the fullest; the true essence of PURA VIDA! He will take you to exquisite places and restaurants tourists never go. Eladio is in top condition. It is helpful that you are too. Bring earplugs because truck noise echoes from Hwy 1. We had a massage. Hiked in the jungle, Went to a waterfall, thermal pool, and a Pacific sunset. Eladio just wants you to be happy.

Best vacation ever!

This is a spacious, private house with an amazing (basically private) pool. The host is wonderful - he will do anything to ensure you have a wonderful vacation. He took us on some amazing tours, got us some special foods to eat and treated us like family. We will go back!!

Looking forward to returning to Eladio's Place.

Rustic accommodations for up to 6 people, maybe more. Very clean and well cared for. The property is beautiful with a nice pool and manicured ornamental gardens. Very secure and safe with the ideal location for exploring Guanacaste. Eladio and Vanessa were very caring and attentive to our needs.

Amazing experience from minute one

We chose Eladios Place based on reviews on his entire experience, from lodging, to distance from airport to amenities, like tours. Everything was exceptional and he welcomed us into his family from the minute we arrived. His tours bring you off the beaten path and you get to learn about the REAL Costa Rica....not some typical tourist resort where you have to do whatever cookie cutter tour they have available. His love of country and ecosystems shines through and we really enjoyed it. Exactly the experience we were looking for. Thank you Eladio's Place!

Rustic accommodations

The accommodations were rustic, with two upstairs bedrooms sharing one bathroom. Air conditioning was only available in the bedrooms. There was also an outdoor sink and toilet available. The property was generally clean, but the bathrooms require some attention. Eladio was very friendly and helpful and this was appreciated.

Love this

It was my first time coming to Costa Rica. Per the reviews, I decided to come here because they mentioned Eladio would take you places, and I’m so glad I did! He is very cordial and friendly and honest. There is a slight language barrier, but he tries his very best to give you the best experience. For the home, for the excursions. All absolutely amazing. If you ever need anything, just reach out to him, and you’ll be taken care of. I’m very grateful I stayed here.

Paradise Found

We were lucky to find such a magical place to spend some time. The property is hard to leave as there are beautiful trees, flowers and birds to watch as you swim in or sit near the beautiful pool. Very easy access to many beaches each one being unique and providing a different experience. Several parks to explore rain forest in. As if all this isnt enough the best reason to choos this place are the people you will meet. Eladio and Vanessa are, quite simply, amazing and beautiful souls. I highly encourage you to go on tours with Eladio as he will take you to places and show you things that you will not find on your own. Will be returning! Pura Vida!!

Hosts Eladio and Vanessa are amazing people. They make you feel like part of the family. Eladio offered an unbelievable amount insight and knowledge considering are staying in country for 5 months. If you are looking for a true Costa Rica adventure this is it. It is by no means a 5 star resort but comfortable just the same. We were there for 2 weeks. Unfortunately it rained every day, except for 2. Eladio took us to town whenever we needed - whether to eat or shop. We were able to take advantage of a couple of the tours. Beach trip and bird actuary were quite fun. The Chocolate factory tour was both informative and great tasting. The jungle hike to the volcano hot springs was a bit trying but well worth the effort. The hot spring pool was amazing. I highly recommend Eladio's Place and the fantastic tours

Rustic and Remote

My biggest complaint is that this place was NOT advertised accurately on VRBO. No television, no laundry (they did however wash a load of laundry for us), no hot tub, one bathroom was outdoors, no oven. Older place but fairly clean. Buggy but it seems that is common in the area. Place sits next to a very busy highway. The road noise is almost unbearable. Location is good otherwise, close to 5 volcanoes and other sightseeing, one hour to the beach. 30 mins to Liberia airport. We hopted to leave early due to a family illness. A highlight of our stay was getting to see a troop of howler monkeys move through! were always conceraboble. Our stay was cut short due to

Eladio will show you the real Costa Rica!

Eladio’s casita was clean and comfortable. It came with everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing outside under the fans and by the pool. The best part of our time in Costa Rica was the jungle tour we took with Eladio, who we quickly realized was the unofficial mayor of Guanacaste! We had such a wonderful time with him, and can not thank him enough for sharing his beautiful home and showing us true pura vida! Our trip with Eladio was absolutely the highlight of our adventures in Costa Rica. He drove us around the backside of the volcano to small villages where we met kind and welcoming locals, at delicious food and had a once in a lifetime experience in the jungle. The trek itself was incredible, definitely bring hiking sandals and be fit and prepared for adventure with Eladio. He took us to a blue waterfall and canyoning to several hot waterfall pools, and then a relaxing soak in a warm pool surrounded by dense jungle and not a soul around. It was incredible. We enjoyed meeting Eladio’s friends and family and seeing a true glimpse of a side a Costa Rica most tourists will never see. We hope to return one day in the future with our children. Eladio showed us the true wealth and abundance in Costa Rica is kindness and love. And of course incredibly beautiful scenery.
