Home Away from Home

Everything about our stay couldn't have been more perfect. All of the amenities you could ever ask for and Chris was so kind and accommodating and very professional. He and his team made sure our stay was top notch It is peaceful and tranquil and exactly what we needed. We are enjoying it here so much, we are extending our stay : )

Pasadena stay

The home is in a great location. Right across the street from the beautiful Langham hotel. And close to many restaurants in Pasadena. The master bedrooms were very spacious. Chris was very attentive and checked in with us often to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful stay a stone's throw from the Langham Huntington

My friend and I had a lovely four-night stay. The unit was very clean and well-appointed. The included parking was very secure. The property manager was very responsive whenever we had a question, and they even left a basket of apples and oranges for us! I would definitely stay here again when I next visit Pasadena.

Beautiful Casita

Two couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very clean, well cared for & beautiful casita! Both bedrooms had comfortable king beds, nice linens and large en-suite bathrooms. Excellent communication with the host who even provided us snacks to nibble on in between our meals! Great location to walk to a historic hotel & to nearby stores plus restaurants on Lake Ave. Highly recommend!

Quiet and Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days at this property. We were in LA to visit our son who lives in Hollywood. While we enjoy some sightseeing, we really enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere provided by this property and the surrounding area of Pasadena. The property is exactly as described and having access to the Langham Hotel grounds is a plus. This will definitely become our "LA Headquarters" for visits with our son.

Upscale stay adjacent to the Langham Hotel. Well-decorated. Small pullman style kitchen -- good for breakfast or a light lunch. Quiet, relaxed. Close to the amenities of Pasadena but a car is necessary. Great host. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Gardens and art

Spent two days and a night enjoying the Norton Simon, Caltech campus and the Huntington Library and Gardens. This was the perfect location for two couples with two large bedrooms and bathrooms. Were able to walk to the Langham for a nice light dinner after a long day of sightseeing and then get to the Huntington in just a few minutes the next morning.

The Cottage

We loved our stay in the cottage. It is in a fabulous location; lots of beautiful parks and lovely shops within walking distance. The owners are very responsive and concerned for our comfort. Any concerns shared were addressed satisfactorily. We enjoyed it very much.

Old Pasadena Heaven

Two wonderful bedrooms and a marvelous terrace, beautifully landscaped (If only it had been warmer) next to the grand Langham (In my day the Huntington). Kitchen/den/television only ok, but I would and will return as long as the property is available.

Great neighborhood and nice space

Great area behind the Langham! Very safe and quiet area which was nice. We didn’t get to explore much because of some crazy weather but looked beautiful. There is a unit below this condo that is normally vacant and was for our stay but we were a bit surprised to see that and were slightly bummed to not be able to use the back patio, but it was a great stay with lots of space. And the host communicated quickly with us whenever we had questions.

The owner was responsive, property was well appointed and clean. The location is very secure with gated entrance. This is a "shoes off" house. The bathrooms do not have tankless hot water heaters so plan on letting the water run 4-5 minutes until hot.

Erich and his party are wonderful guests. They keep the place very clean and nice after 2 nights staying. Always welcome back ! The distance between heater and the both room is less than 15 FT. Under the normal situation it won’t take 5 minutes to get hot water . We will going to add more instruction on the faucets.

Lovely Long Weekend

This property was perfect for a stay packed with activities. We had many off site commitments so didn't really get to hang out and take advantage of the beautiful patio. Still, it was so nice to have the huge en-suite bedrooms to organize our wardrobes between events. The property offers some unexpected amenities that were much appreciated, such as a clothes steamer! Lots of nice touches. Great location. Easy access to the wonderful Langham Huntington hotel. Our host, Chris was very accommodating and attentive.

Cottage Family Stay

Recently our family finished a ten-day stay at host Chris's VRBO in Pasadena. Chris maintained excellent communication before, during and after our trip. He clearly laid out check-in/check-out logistics such as gate entry and card access, and quickly resolved a minor issue with our card keys gaining entry as soon as we contacted him. The cottage rooms were in clean condition with functioning utilities (air conditioning, showers) and equipment (refrigerator, television, and the kitchen coffee machine). The internet connectivity held up well the entire visit. It was a comfortable stay, and we recommend this VRBO to any family looking to stay in Pasadena. Thanks Chris!

You may not be alone on-site

Property was clean, easy check-in. The reason for my lower stars for communication and online description is because I was unaware that the property owner was living there/downstairs. Also, owner/daughter came home late evening and startled us. Owner also opened up inaccessible door on the last day and popped in to say hello (it was a nice gesture but a bit strange without heads up). Hot water took 5-10min to turn on.

From the property manager: The Property owner own 2 units of the vacation bungalow. They lives in oversea and back to CA to celebrate the new year holiday. The owner did say hello behind the door before opened the door to greeting the guests when guests ready to leave at the door side. Although it’s a polite and nice intention he still apologize for the misunderstanding.

Great property in a beautiful location

Our stay was just perfect! We four family members were close to the rest of our family who live in Pasadena but didn't have enough room to accommodate us all. Three of the four of us needed to work remotely at various times during our stay, and the two desks in the cottage made our work comfortable and easy. The cottage is soundly built as well, so virtual meetings never bothered those in the other rooms. The wifi ran smoothly, so everyone could do what they needed to do when they needed to do it. The grounds of the hotel where the cottage is located are just lovely! We accessed the hotel's amenities, which made the stay even more fun for everyone in our party. Chris, the property manager, was easy to contact at any point, and all instructions regarding checkin, checkout, and parking were clear. We will definitely stay here again when our family gathers in the Pasadena area. Thank you, Chris, for facilitating a fabulous stay in a lovely location!
