Beautifully renovated dog friendly home located on a quiet street just steps from the beach, with direct access through deeded easement in the backyard which leads straight to 39th avenue. It features an open floor plan, new hardwood floors throughout, and a small peek of the ocean from the renovated sunroom.

The kitchen and bathrooms have all been updated. The kitchen with quartzite countertops, white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and tile backsplash. There is a large private fenced-in backyard with mature live oaks perfect for your furry family members. Underneath the house you will find a patio perfect for entertaining outside with a gas grill, and outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach.

A dining room off the kitchen seats 4, with additional seating for 2 at Kitchen Island. The sunroom also has a dining table with seating for 6.
The renovated sunroom is a four season room with heat and ac, as well as floor to ceiling vertical sliding windows that slide all the way down on the cooler days when you want to catch an ocean breeze.

Rentals are stocked with small ‘starter packs’ that include: toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent.

Linens and WIFI are included. Dog Friendly ($200 non refundable pet fee), NO SMOKING.

The house was in the perfect location, and the kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. I think because the pollen was so extreme while we were there, the house felt a little dusty when we walked in and some debri, but mostly everything else was very clean.

IOP Family reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect with plenty of room to spread out but be together. Our dogs loved the ability to play in the yard. The proximity to the beach was a bonus. We enjoyed every minute!

Christmas family time

The property was wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped, clean and updated. Fenced in back yard and quick access to the beach was a plus. We loved the extra room in the sunroom. A quiet space to read, do puzzles and play games away from the TV.

Wonderful stay on IOP

The house was perfect for our beach trip! Easy 20 minute drive to Charleston and 5 minute walk to beach. Fully stocked with utensils and cookware even though we ate out most nights! The pups loved the big back yard to run and play. We had a great time here!

Best part is that the residence has a secure fenced yard with a gate that allows renters to walk on private path to road to cross street to beach walk. We had 6 people altogether and we were extremely comfortable. I can't say anything bad about the place. It has the cutest large private outdoor shower too. Perfect for the dog who got sandy.

It is a very short walk to the beach and had a lovely fenced in back yard for our fur babies. Also, the main bed was very comfortable (you never know what kind of mattress you are going to get). IOP Thanksgiving

Our family meets every year for the week of Thanksgiving at IOP. The location was great, particularly the direct access to the beach. Many areas of the house were updated. Great kitchen with a lot of counter space which was great when we prepared Thanksgiving dinner. Bedrooms were good size. Bathrooms were great. The only negatives were: 1) the barbecue grill did not work. The temperature on the grill never got above 200 degrees. 2) the linens and towels need to be updated.

I think the owners should put a guest book in the house for renters can personally let them know how the rental was. Also I must have picked up 12 bags of poop in the back yard. It is apparent to me that renters do not pick up after their pets. There is a pooper scooper there so you need to emphasize renters need to use it. One thing that happened was the lawn people came to spray and opened up the gate without our knowledge. My dogs were coming and going and no one alerted us that they were there. I would have been frantic if they would have gotten out. Disaster would have happened I’m afraid. They need to come to the door and alert people they are opening the gate.

Bureaucracy

Dealing with Island Realty was a bureaucratic slog. They try and use automated technology, but it just pushes more work onto the renter. I continue to get nagging e-mails that I sign the rental contract even though (a) I signed it, and (b) I've completed my stay. Plus, their check in process maximizes their convenience, not yours. Still, the price is good. And if you don't mind bureaucracy as well as a short trek to the beach, it is a good property for what you pay.

Spacious Home with Great Back Yard

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised at all the space. Our dog loved the beautiful fenced in yard. The kitchen was amazing. The only negative is that the house was not thoroughly cleaned. The top bunk had crumbs still on the bed and the front guest bed had hairs on the sheets. Some of the furniture had not been dusted. The ottoman in the living room had a strong pet urine odor so we just moved it to the corner. Overall though it was a nice house. Maybe just needs a deep clean. The cut through out the back yard made for a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay, as did our four-legged family member.

Great fenced in backyard if you're bringing your dog. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. We loved the sunroom on the back of the house. It was a cozy place to have our coffee or play family games. Also, beach chairs and every toy was provided. This is a plus!The negatives- The house was not as clean as I would like it to be. The rugs were not vacummed well,showing age, and dirty. There were cheetos and a cracker wrapper on the rug in the den and Old beer cans were down at the patio by the yard. The kitchen countertop was also not cleaned well. They only provide 1 bath towel and wash cloth a piece per guest so be prepared to wash your towels several times.
