Less than a 5-minute walk, and BOOM—you’re in the middle of it all!

For the outdoor adventurers (or just the ones who love a scenic stroll), the Town Bike Path is practically at your doorstep, ready to whisk you away to the stunning Upper Lakes Basin. Back at the cabin, the layout is as functional as it is fabulous: two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, while the loft and a second bath hold court upstairs. The living space? Clean, spacious unit that can comfortably house 6 people. Excellent location - a couple of minutes away from Blue line shuttle stop to Canyon lodge and the Village. The Village itself is only a couple blocks away too. The complex’s hot tub/sauna are in an adjacent building, but you need a door code to access them. That door code wasn’t included in any documents in the unit or on the VRBO app. The host was unresponsive when I asked for the combination.

Location can't be beat, right by the Village. The place was clean and easy to check in. Definitely would stay here again.

Worked out perfectly for a group of 6 of us coming up to Mammoth to snowboard. The proximity to the village (~10 walk) is a huge perk.

Perfect for a Weekend with friends

Great price for the location. Hot tub was broken unfortunately but everything else was great. Easy walk to the village/bars and the blue line stops basically right at the entrance to the complex so super easy to get to the mountain. Would stay again!

Mammoth Weekend Get-Away

Really enjoyed staying here! Comfortable accommodations, close proximity to main village (walking distance), and right next to communal hot-tub. The downstairs thermostats were difficult to adjust (i.e. either too hot or too cold) but otherwise the place was perfect for our group. Well-stocked kitchen, quaint place. Highly recommend!

Full of pleasant surprises!

Great place, friendly and responsive management, and we found little bits of joy, like excellent tea selection box, old LPs, beach towels... so nice to rent a place where abundance is the norm!

Mammoth Ski Stay

Great property for a small group ski trip to Mammoth. It is walkable (~10 minutes) to the gondola and slightly more affordable since it isn't in the core Village area. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need including coffee, nice living room to hangout, and has a balcony. Shared pool/jacuzzi area was closed for maintenance but not a problem for us. Would recommend!

Convenient to the Village. Cost Effective.

This property is an 8-10 minute walk to the Village (gondola, restaurants, bars, etc.) so it was great for our group as we had people heading to the mountain at different times. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were all comfortable, living area was fine, and a large balcony with a nice view for a morning coffee. The place is definitely a little dated but at the cost, it's well worth the stay.

Good location

Nice location, everything was easy. We got 24 inches of snow but there were shovels for us to dig out the stairs and cars. Was a bit icy headed into the village. Great for young adults, might be rough with older adults.

Just 'okay' rental

The condo provides ample space, is in a great location, includes parking, and the kitchen has all you need to cook a full meal. However, the condition of the property is older and a bit run down. We expected something nicer for the price. Plus, there is a slight odor.

Everything was great but the owner should know that the sliding door for the balcony is not working properly - very difficult to close. And on the main floor we could not get any sound from the TV until we unplugged the soundbar's audio cable from the TV.

Low value in high season

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While we were happy to book a place when we made relatively last-minute plans for a very busy time of year, the price was so high that I expected a higher quality place. The good: The location is convenient, right on the shuttle line and the full 2 BR plus loft made for great space. The kitchen was also very well stocked and despite it's compact size had absolutely everything we needed for home-cooked meals. The building had also done a nice job with a massive snow storm to make sure there was still plenty of parking. The wood-pellet stove was also great. The not-so-good: At least two of the window blinds were broken, a toilet seat was falling off, and the carpet on the stairs needs replacement. The heat in the 2 bedrooms downstairs is very difficult to get right: either too hot or too cold, and the bathroom downstairs was also very cold. Finally, I got a call from the management company 1.5 hours after checkout time (and 1.5 hours after we had left) asking why we hadn't left yet. So perhaps not such huge problems, but I expected more given what we paid, even during a very busy time at Mammoth.

Ideal staging area for a geological wonderland

We love Mammoth Lakes because this part of the east Sierra is so dramatic compared to the west Sierra with its monolithic rounded granites. There are incredible hikes we can do (Mammoth Crest, Chocolate Lakes loop), but also to get acclimatized to the altitude through all sorts of geological wonders within driving and short hiking range such as Panum Crater, the Obsidian Dome, Convict Lake loop and Hot Creek Geological Site, and the open hot springs like Hilltop in the middle of a former super-volcano. And apres all that we walk to the village to indulge. Next year we will hike or paddle to the Crowley columns!

Provided what we needed for our stay

This place was clean and had plenty of supplies. Once I had the correct way to reach the management (text message) they were very helpful and took care of situations that came up, promptly. The unit itself is older and there were several repairs that needed to be done. My understanding is that it was a new unit to their rental program. I hope they will have the time to review all repairs with the owner and complete them in the near future to prevent disruptions of other's vacation.
