Great location

Location was good. House is a tad run down and the carpet in some of the bedrooms felt pretty worn. Cleanliness of it was good enough. Overall meet the needs of our family vacation and would stay here again!

Thanks for your lovely review. Carpet is less than a year old? Go glad you dis not stay at the Westin down the street for $6000/night like all the rich folks did and your whole family got to pay $500/night for a 6 bedroom million plus estate in one of the most affluent areas in the United States over the Christmas holidays and glad you liked the amazing and coveted location. It’s really too bad a lot of our cheaper guests can’t afford to take advantage of all the amazing restaurants and activities on limited budgets. Many of our homes in this same area are $3-$4000 per night. Amazing that all those guests always leave 5 star reviews all the time but the budget minded people are so critical of a home they could never afford. As one of the largest owners in the area we find them so much more enjoyable to deal with as they have so much more travel experience and realistic expectations.

One smoke detector was missing and one was falling off the wall. The house was for sale, which would be concerning if booked in advance and it sold. Booking person was not very flexible. I asked if our daughters could come to the house for dinner since they were staying at a hotel, and I was told to just take them out to dinner. I didn't want to go against the rules and get fined so we didn't have them over. It felt like there were a lot of opportunities for them to bill you extra if they wanted. More than 8 people, adjust heat/A/C in house, adjust pool or hot tub heat, etc. Didn't make us feel as welcome as other properties we've stayed at in Scottsdale.

Really difficult dealing with people that are saving thousands nightly by staying in our million plus private home instead of 6 rooms at The Westin 4 blocks away where there own kids were staying. Then complain that they can't have 16 extra guests come to the house which would upset my neighbors, break every city bylaw and go against all Vrbo policies. We were never advised about any smoke detectors during your stay (YOU NEVER LET US KNOW) but the home has 6 others, by code it is only required to have one? And yes heating the pool or spa involves a small utility fee that is clearly listed in the description. All we do is provide reasonably priced accommodations. Hard dealing with guests that have too spend there whole trip at the home being a building inspector instead of venturing out and enjoying one of the most coveted cities in the world.

It was great

Seeing family after and getting together was off the charts. The host was very responsive every time I had a question and you better trust and believe I had questions because I didn't want to do anything wrong or anything against the rules because it was my daughter's graduation and family were coming from everywhere including myself. So it was a blessing. God is good.

West World Horse Show Fun!

We had a great time at this house, we stayed 10 days! The pool was great, lots of space inside and out. We had 7 guests and our dog. Tons of room and loved that everybody had their own bathroom. I highly recommend this house. It was a 10 minute drive to the West World Horse Show facility.

Perfect spot to wind down after hiking, football.

The house had everything we needed. Great place to relax and wind down after our activities during the day. We did some hiking, went to the ASU game, and the Giants/Cardinals NFL game among other things. It was nice to have our group gather in the house together rather than getting several rooms in a hotel and barely speak to one another. I’d certainly recommend this house for any small groups looking to stay in this area.

Many fun things to do at the house, including pool table and lots of TVs. Pool was great temperature and clean. Lots of pool side seating. Good variety and plenty of kitchen necessities. Lots of bathrooms. Convenient for heading to downtown, Mesa, Tempe, or Scottsdale.

Amazing experience

We had an awesome time here, the house is real nice and Rob was super workable! Those other bad reviews were ridiculous as everything worked fine and the house was clean and in very good condition. Rob answered all messages without delay and was very accommodating.

Great house for 8 buddy's Golf Gateway

Great house for a golf gateway as all appliances worked, everyone had a comfortable bed, four bathrooms, three with showers & no issues about hot water. Location was ideal as we played a majority of our golf games in the north part of Phoenix. Easy access to freeway & not far from Old Town Scottsdale for an evening out. The Hot tub was ideal at the end of the day & the water in the Pool was still warm for a dip. Would defiantly rent it again next year.

Comfortable stay

The home had plenty of room for us to spread out. The 4 double beds in the converted garage were squeaky but we were so tired at the end of the day, we didnt mind. There wasnt enough hot water for us all to shower and if it got hot, it took a long time to get there. The toilet paper was dang near see through, so maybe bring yiur own. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Slightly disappointing

The house was okay. There was a strange smell in a couple of rooms. Slightly smaller than the pictures presented. It served our purpose. But forewarned there are extra fees with everything. I asked if we could check in a little early and was denied. There is check in but you have to pay $200. It is a great location.

Glad you thought it was a comfortable stay!! So glad we could afford to offer you a million dollar home for less than you would have paid for one 200 foot hotel room at The Westin 2 blocks away. A lot of guests with limited travel experience have no idea these Scottsdale homes cost 20x more they do in the Midwest... Maybe one day!! Appreciate you staying with us. Guests can save an additional 20% on a second visit to any of our 14 estates in the area.

Good location - quiet neighborhood

Excellent outdoor amenities: pool, hot tub, putting green, fire pit, and bocce ball. Indoors had a pool table and tvs in all the rooms The inside was just fine. There were a few issues that the management firm quickly resolved and one they couldn't. For the amount spent and based on other properties that we had stayed at the inside quality did not fully match up. I am not saying anything bad just certain things like an unfinished wall, lack of items in the kitchen, and aceiling fan that didn't work.

Glad you enjoyed all the amenities rarely found in any homes in this coveted area. My family have never stayed anywhere that offer what we do in the 10 homes we own in the area? Also our full time customer support staff that would have gladly brought over any items you were lacking in the kitchen but were never asked? Last but not least, try to remember we offer all these services and amenities for about half the nightly rate of a 600' junior suite room at comparable hotels in the area like The Westin Kierland or Fairmont Princess. The pictures online shows this home as super nice and pool is shown nice at night. There was no light on the pool. The pooldirty was not cleaned. We had to clean it. The house was not clean towels were on the floor dirty towels in the washer, plus was told to wash and dry towels. Toaster oven twisted there was not any big pots or skillets we had to buy our own. The bedrooms was nice though.

Really hard dealing with super needy - entitled clients that aren't smart enough to simple text customer service for anything needed items. All we can do is provide a million dollar estate instead of a 200’ hotel room for half the rate. It’s a shame some guests that might never be able to afford a home of this caliber have no understanding of the value they are receiving when ten years ago they would all be at the Motel 8 in 5 rooms spending 5x the nightly rate. We do get these kind of guests off season (when it’s 110*) and our regular rates are discounted 80-90%. Funny those 5% of low end terrible guests we get to host always think they are royalty spending $30/night each for their accommodation costs and too stupid to ask where the pool light switch is….

Nice place. Poor ownership/management.

The ownership only cares about their bottom line. They have multiple homes and have forgotten about customer care. We told them that the hot tub was important to us and they even charged us an extra cleaning fee only to find out it doesn’t work at all. The TVs don’t all have programming. When we told them of our concerns we were told that those were basically “free amenities” and therefore they wouldn’t reduce their rate for their sub standard product. It’s too bad because it is a nice place.

Nice Place-Terrible Guest. The hot tub you was in perfect condition when serviced the day before your arrival and for the first 4 days of your stay? However young kids splashing around in the hot tub got the circuits wet which trips the GFCI. Too blame us is just kind of silly. The TV remotes could have been programmed by any of our team members if you had just given them a call with the number provided in your check in letter. So glad you enjoyed a 5 Star Experience, the best amenities available and our full time customer service team. But rated your stay on the one item you guys damaged during your stay which is just silly.

Spring break family trip

First we were sent to the wrong house with the check in email. Get to the correct house and it took three different attempts with management to get the correct code to enter, this whole fiasco was over a hour delay. No apologies offered, no attempts to make it right. Back yard when we arrived had pool toys all scattered around the yard and on top of pool. Dead plants in planter in backyard. Golf balls also all over. We requested the 2 twins to be made into a king, this was not done. Had to demand it be done, attitude was really you want this done! Boys changed many light bulbs that were burned out. Hair dryer broke in one bathroom. Very little body wash supplied in 2 bathrooms. Dishwasher didn’t work very well. Welcome book is in bad shape and not very helpful with restaurants and things to do. Bunk room use to be a garage. The lock on the door if accidentally touched would lock and no code given to unlock it. No plastic dishes available for patio use. Hard to get 2 SUV’s in driveway as shrubs scratched the sides of vehicles. Pool and hot tub were heated very well. Home inside was very clean. The neighbors definitely do not like having a VRBO, there were at least 4 signs in their yard stating rent a room not a home… made us feel uncomfortable. We were respectful of noise and didn’t have any issues with anyone.

Karen, your large family stayed in our million dollar home for half the nightly rate of a 200’ hotel room at "The Westin" a few blocks away? Thank god 95% of guests are amazing and leave 5 star reviews.
