Spring has arrived!
Our Riverbend beach and lakes are OPEN. ALL local stores, restaurants and grocery store are OPEN. All nearby mountain towns including, Asheville and Biltmore Estate (open), Tryon, Saluda, Hendersonville, Columbus, Rutherfordton and Forest City are welcoming visitors. Chimney Rock State Park is rebuilding their main bridge, still unsure of open date. Come support beautiful Lake Lure region!



Laurel Ridge cabin is located on 6 very private acres acres in the Riverbend community, with 3 master bedroom suites and a game room with bunk beds, surrounded by spectacular mountain views! Access to private lakes, beach, river and waterfall with canoe available for use.
Its main floor features a cozy great room with stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, bedroom with log queen bed and full bath with access from hall and bedroom. There is also a laundry room with new front load full size washer and dryer.

The upper level has a large, private master bedroom with king size log bed and full private bath. The loft area has queen sofa sleeper with French doors to that opens to upper deck with spectacular mountain views of Chimney Rock State Park.

The lower level has a very nice family room with large TV, comfortable furniture to relax, games and books, air hockey table, and set of bunk beds. A quiet private bedroom with king size bed and bath with shower is great for sleeping in. The family room also has patio access with outside seating and corn hole game boards for family fun. Lots of room for everyone!

There are a wide variety of activities to do around the Lake Lure area from zip lining and hiking to white water rafting and tubing. There are also a number of highly rated golf courses nearby along with putt putt, tennis, horseback riding, four wheeler riding rentals, hiking trails and more.

Nearby attractions include Chimney Rock St Park, Biltmore Estate and Winery, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Tryon Equestrian Center. Laurel Ridge Cabin has endless outdoor fun! Go tubing in the river, jump in Big Mirror Lake for a swim, or grab a pole and fish—all within minutes from the cabin in common area in the Riverbend community.

The cabin was perfect for our group. The neighborhood is peaceful and there are at least a few trails in the neighborhood to walk and the lake and river are great. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. Really, a great overall stay for my husband and I, sisters and niece. We will be back!

Wonderful family friendly cabin

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was cute and very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. My parents are older and the minimal stairs to get in the front and main floor bedroom were great for them. We all enjoyed the back porches. We spent more time outside than inside and had so much fun at the lake in the neighborhood which even had a sandy beach! Bring a bathing suit you don’t mind getting red clay on though! There are also some hiking trails we tried out, but they still have some debris from Helene so we didn’t go too far. There’s a lot still closed down outside of the neighborhood - like Lake Lure itself - but there is plenty to do and see. I wouldn’t let that hold you back at all. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone!

We had a great time hiking and fishing-both are easily accessible from the cabin! Everything was clean and communication was great! We hope to come back soon!

We would have liked to love the place but there were a few things that did not go right. Everything else was not as big a deal but the deal breaker is after we left the cabin, everyone in our group realized we had all started to get red bumps on our bodies all over! This place is infested with bedbugs and we have never been bit like this before in any cabins we have been to. It was beyond acceptable. It needs to be thoroughly sprayed and cleaned of these bugs otherwise everyone that stays will continue getting bit. Other things like the communication took long and that there was no fire pit. The property says there is 6 acres but you cant do anything outside other than in the home. Its just all woods. The lake and beach were nice but you had to drive there.

Fun cabin, a little outdated

The cabin was spacious and well appointed. It was just a bit outdated. The kitchen equipment (pots, pans, utensils, etc.) were scratched up and could use a refresh. The main living area was not very conducive to hanging out as there was just a sofa and chair but no coffee table. The tv hung in the corner above the chair so only people lined up on sofa could watch it (if tv is important for your crew...we never turned it on....). We used the upstairs loft to play games and watch sunsets. Overall, it was a great stay and we highly encourage others to visit the area to support those who were victims of the hurricane.

Beautiful Mountain Views

10 of us stayed the week for Thanksgiving. Cabin is spacious and beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out inside and out. Equipped with everything you could possibly need, just bring your toothbrush and food. The area offered something for every age within our group (14-73). Host was detailed, easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Beautiful house, convenient location

Our family (my husband and I, two sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and 2 grandsons), for the last several years, have taken vacation together. This year, we decided to stay closer to home. I love Lake Lure and Chimney Rock so I started looking for a house to rent and discovered Laurel Ridge in Riverbend. It was perfect and satisfied all our needs! The grandsons loved the ole swimming hole! Unfortunately, we had to cut our vacation short due to Hurricane Debby. One son lives in Wilmington and was concerned about flooding. The other son came down with the flu! Needless to say, my husband and I also came down with the flu after arriving back home! In spite of all of that, I would highly recommend Laurel Ridge!

My daughter lives in Charlotte and we flew out for her birthday and the fall color. The cabin was perfect. Gorgeous views, beautiful little lake in the neighborhood. Cabin was clean and well-appointed. Definitely a Five-Star rating.

Breathtaking view in a cozy luxury log cabin

We absolutely loved our stay at the log cabin! The mountain view from the back and top balconies was breathtaking and we will always cherish the memories we made there. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and made for a wonderful first experience. We especially enjoyed the nearby hikes, waterfalls, historical parks, as well as the convenient location to nearby Asheville. Overall, it was an amazing trip and we can't wait to come back!

Amazing Cabin Stay

Brody’s cabin was amazing. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again. Every amenity that you can think of with amazing mountain views. Very clean with a kitchen stocked for all types of cooking!

Beautiful property, maintenance issues

This property would get a 5 if it wasn’t for the maintenance issues. We had a lovely time but the internet never worked which was difficult for our party that needed to work while there and they left early because they could not work. The dishwasher did not work, nor the fireplace. A previous dog left us a “present” upon arrival. Brody answered my inquiry early in our visit but was unable to reach later. It was a very nice place And we would definitely book again if we were sure the maintenance issues were addresssed.

Great cabin buried in the mountains of NC

This is a wonderful cabin, very spacious (3 floors), and fabulous views. If you are looking for a secluded cabin, this is it. The cabin is within a gated community, with an approximate 10-minute drive on gravel roads up the mountain to the cabin driveway. All the needed amenities are included. The one disappointment was the gas fireplace that was not working. We spoke to the property manager, but he was not able to get anyone out to repair this. Otherwise, this is a great place to spend a few days with the family. Chimney Rock park is about 25 minutes away, while Biltmore estate is slightly over an hour. The drive to these locations takes place on very winding roads, so be prepared. Travel in the winter with snow and/or ice on the roads would be very challenging, while getting to and from the cabin on the gravel roads is likely not possible with any significant amount of snow, even with a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Otherwise, this place is really fantastic.

Tranquility

We’ll appointed cabin with both vintage and rustic decor. Great accommodations, views and peaceful neighborhood. We have been staying in the area for the past three years and this is the nicest cabin we’ve rented. Thoughtful things like games, puzzles, movies, a dog lead line and doggie toys, books to enjoy, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the peace and quiet. Will definitely return.

Lovely and Quiet

The property at River Bend was a wonderful change from staying in hotels and other large properties. Even though there were only two of us, we elected to stay in a home that could easily have accommodated 8 people. The cabin, very well appointed and decorated was not your little rustic cabin in the woods. With multiple levels, bedrooms, and a lovely kitchen, it met or exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to return.

Peaceful
