Located on a BEAUTIFUL 1850s farm property, just 1 mile from Round Pond Village and Harbor. Designed with coastal charm and luxury in mind and every kids dream, full standup loft bedroom accessed by a hefty ships ladder. Enjoy the classic, 660 sq. ft. cottage, with all the comforts of new construction; to include tankless water heater, plus air-conditioning and heat. Plus great proximity to all that Pemaquid Peninsula has to offer. We have 3 cottages overlooking the pond and in close proximity to one another, making the property perfect group bookings. Host a wedding party or rent all three for a family reunion!

Bright and airy, the Heron's Nest features cathedral ceilings, with 3 skylights, providing beautiful natural light, shiplap walls and ceilings. The kitchenette/living space is an open floor plan with soaring ceiling. The kitchenette is equipped with 2 burner, portable, induction cooktop; countertop oven; microwave; and coffee maker. The first floor bedroom, features a king bed with luxury linens and on-suite bathroom, with shower, also accessed from living space. The loft has 2 full size beds and a generous sitting space, giving the children plenty of room to play, plus generous size table for games or additional work from home space. You'll enjoy the peaceful porch overlooking the pond and field, where you can enjoy the wildlife that abounds on this property.

We are so excited to share our dream come true. This private, bucolic place is pure peace and relaxation. We, the owners, live on property and will be readily available to insure your stay meets all your expectations. For short term stays, we provide linens to include bedding and 2 sets of towels per person. Guests are responsible for paper products and trash bags.

Peaceful Getaway and Great Hosts

Spent 4 nights in a beautiful cottage tucked away in the woods with plenty of space for our dog to run. Short drives to the beach or lobster.

Perfect small cottage with all the comforts of home. Quiet, peaceful setting with nice porch overlooking pond and nature. Host was exceptional and very attentive. Very reasonably priced. Looking forward to go back next year.

A charming cabin in the woods near the Maine coast

On recommendation of friends living in the area, we rented one of three new cabins offered by this host. The cabin was spotless, had excellent beds, and was well-appointed for visitors interested in cooking. The cabin was easy to find with the detailed guidance provided by the hosts. The hosts were very pleasant and responsive.

Fantastic Cabin and Area

Great experience from start to finish. The cabin was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Our family of 5 cooked, lounged and played games very comfortably. We enjoyed exploring the pond and property. The owner offered great suggestions to enjoy nature, beautiful views, and delicious food. We look forward to another stay!

Pamela and her family are just wonderful, and their cabins 100% reflect that! Pamela checked in on us and was so very helpful. She was quick to assist with anything we needed. Peaceful little slice of Paradise

We spent 6 happy days in this lovely little hideaway. The cabin was immaculate, very well-equipped, comfortable and cozy. Unfortunately, we did not have an opportunity to meet the owners during our stay; however, the TLC they have poured into this place is evident. The property and pond are smaller than expected, but it’s such a peaceful and relaxing setting. We will definitely stay there again when we return to that area of Maine.

Sweet little spot!

Beautiful, snug little cabin in a great locationit’s tiny but fits almost everything you need, and has ingenious devices like an induction cooktop and a smart tv. A little too snug for four adults though — and the kitchen wasnt really for cooking. Luckily Muscongus Lobster Pound is 5 min away!

Woodsy MidCoast getaway for kayaking & hiking & puffins

Beautiful cabins in Bristol personalized by Pamela & Joe. Cabins were very spacious with thoughtful touches & a private porch overlooking a small pond. Comfy living room & beds, full kitchen (BYO cooking oils/ herbs). Check in & communication was easy, they were very flexible & gracious hosts- even helped us with kayaking. Bristol is small but beautiful with so many delicious food stops, trails, swimming spots. Next main town for late night eats, pharmacy is an easy 20mins away.

A peaceful haven

This was a wonderful place to stay - the peaceful surroundings, the beautiful cabin with a number of thoughtful amenities, and great communication with the host. It doesn't get much better than morning coffee with the windows open listening to the birds and frogs sing. There's some great hiking nearby and some good places to eat within a 5-15 minute drive. Highly recommend...and I hope to return!

Heron Cove

We had a lovely stay at The Heron Cove cabin
 beautiful and peaceful view. Nice amenities and Pamela was very responsive to our few questions. We had our two pups with us and the trail around their pond was a great loop to walk. We did have to use extra caution with our 4.5 year old on the steep stairs to the loft, but she quickly got used to them and had fun up there with her kiddo activities. Thanks again for a great stay, Pamela and Family!

Sweetest Space

This rental was just great. Located in such a peaceful setting, with a private deck was just amazing. Well built and appointed, with pretty much anything you might need. The inside was very clean, and accurate to the photos taken. We met Joe & Pam, and had a nice conversation with them, getting some recommendations. I have no hesitations in giving an excellent rating 😀

Trip to Maine for Wedding

Everything was perfect. It was quiet. It was close to everything we were doing on Pemaquid Peninsula. < 5 minutes to coffee shop, ice cream, and lobster in Round Pond. 13 minutes to the beach. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning. Mosquitoes unfortunately came out at night. We didn’t use the grill or hot plate for cooking as we were out and about. Really nice place, great host!

Sweet cottage near Pemaquid and more

The cottage was very adorably decorated and in a great location for exploring the area. Post this hurry, dating and available. We were three adults and a dog, so the space was a bit crowded for us. I would caution chefs about doing a lot of cooking, as there’s a two burner induction cooktop that lives in a closet and very little counter space. I’d stay there again, but not haul so much food to cook with me.

Family Wedding Weekend

Four generations of our family enjoyed the three cabins as we celebrated a wedding weekend at nearby Pemaquid Point. Cabins were well stocked and very clean, despite being fully dog friendly. Our two dogs enjoyed the quieter weekend of resting in the cabin while we traveled to-and-fro for various wedding activities. The grounds at the cabins are perfect for extended families. We wished we had more time to enjoy the large firepit area and the corn hole boards. There are two picnic tables on the grounds that are not shown in the listing, and we enjoyed a family breakfast there. Beds in the cabins were super comfortable, and our hosts were very responsive to all our calls and messages. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a place to stay in this gorgeous area.

An Ideal Spot for Dogs and Birds

These lovely new cabins are located in a private but easily accessible area. If you happen to be a birder, you will find this property especially appealing. I was there during fall migration and picked up many species during my morning walks with my dog. The property is very welcoming to dogs, and having a porch that was accessible from inside but not the outside gave us a spot where she could be outside and safe while I was doing things like cooking or making the bed. The hosts are wonderful, and go out of their way to solve any problems and make you feel welcome. All of midcoast Maine is easily accessible from here, making a variety of day trips available. But you can also easily spend a day just relaxing right at the cabin. This was a wonderful experience!

Looking for a slower, more peaceful pace and with a desire to become more self-sufficient, we purchased this old farm place in 2017 and never looked back. In addition to building the three cottages, we've been busy remodeling the 1850s home, an ongoing work in progress.

The idea to construct the cottages came through the combination of our dream to move to New England, divine inspiration and a sense that this beautiful property was not to be kept to ourselves, alone.
