This waterfront home has all you want with AMAZING sunrise and sunset views over Bayou Sauvage and Lake Pontchartrain. With a stunning oversized great room and deck, there is something for everyone. We are only a 28 minute drive from New Orleans French Quarter! Relax on the back deck or in the hot tub while looking at a beautiful horizon. Go for a swim. Take out the kayaks. If you don’t want to get on a boat, fish and crab from the dock or chill in a hammock swing. The oversized living room and kitchen feature spectacular views. It is a great place to relax or watch a game. You’ll be camping in style at the Pelican View

We loved our stay. Such a peaceful and relaxing home, surrounded by the beauty of the wildlife reserve. The deck was wonderful for sunning and wildlife viewing. An alligator even visited a few days! Home was well equipped and comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glassware and even some spices. Host was quick to respond with any questions and gave us many suggestions for the surrounding area. Highly recommend this place. It’s about 30 minutes to downtown New Orleans but so worth it for the beautiful, serene setting!

This property was absolutely beautiful, from sunrise to sunset! Lots of seating inside & out! Seating for 10 at the beautiful wood kitchen table. Saw an alligator swimming by from the upper deck! Cozy swings downstairs, kayaks & dart board. Kitchen well stocked. The host let us check in early from our red eye flight and set up crab traps for us! Absolutely loved this stay! The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular!

We are New Orleans natives. We love the outdoors as much as the city. My family loves the quick trip to escape the city and enjoy our "Sportsman's Paradises", one of Louisiana's nicknames. One of my many joys is watching my children play on the water while catching fish, blue crabs or kayaking. It's so nice to see them detached. Truth be told, it is nice that I detach with them.

If you want beautiful waterfront views, with very few neighbors, this is your place. We are nestled in Bayou Savage National wildlife refuge. It is conveniently located near Lake's Pontchartrain, Saint Catherine, Borgne as well as the rigolets. A boat launch is just .5 miles away. We have connections with local fishing guides that will pick you up on the dock.

As much as we anticipate you will want to enjoy being on the water, we are conveniently 25 minutes from the French Quarter and Louisiana's famous cuisine. There are only a few places this close to the city of New Orleans. In addition to all the things you can do at the property, golf, museums, city park, shopping are near by.
