Convenience, comfort, and location are only a part of the charm of this renovated historic house with an attached studio and an attached cottage. "Top O' Main" is located in the heart of the historic district on Main Street in Nantucket town. A beautiful 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal puts you to the front door. A short walk to the heart of downtown gives you access to over 40 of Nantucket's finest restaurants, shops, and takes you on a tour of Nantucket's rich history. This newly renovated and beautifully decorated house is wrapped around a sunny private courtyard and garden that is stocked with comfortable outdoor furniture ideal for relaxation, living, and entertainment. Mature privet hedge adds privacy to this garden sanctuary. The home itself has multiple living and dining areas, a beautiful kitchen stocked with every accessory imaginable, plush bedrooms, along with new bathrooms. It is the destination for your family and friend gatherings!

Great spot with lots of space!

We had a wonderful time at the Top of Main! The location is great for short walks into town. There is plenty of space in the house and the cottage for sleeping and for enjoying each others company! The owners are fantastic at communicating and so accommodating.

Nantucket Getaway

Great location- easy walk and or bike ride to Jetties beach. Can bike to Cisco and walk to stores and restaurants downtown. Plenty of room for families to enjoy a relaxing vacation!

Well stocked house for a family reunion

Great house, excellent location, well stocked and amazing back porch which became our main living room. The outdoor shower is also very nice with solid water pressure.

Home away from home

Family of 10 from 16 months to 74. We loved the location, easy walk to downtown, very homey, and host was so gracious and accommodative. Lots of room for our multi-generational group to spread out. We will definitely return.

Lovely historic home!

Fabulous location and plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful island of Nantucket. Easy walking distance to town for dinners through gorgeous neighborhood and close to bike paths for rides to the ocean. Owner is great to work with. Lovely patio out back with string lights and seating for dining and relaxing.

Family work / play on-island

Top O Main is a beautiful, clean, older room with great accommodations and convenient location to walk downtown or driving around island! Beds are comfortable and house as all you need. Kitchen is excellent - serving a larger family. Lovely patio area with outside shower (a must on Nantucket!).

WOW, just WOW! The place is spacious; furniture, especially beds, are super comfortable; state-of-the-art appliances; all the plates, utensils, pots/pans you could ever need; cute, relaxing courtyard! Lots of gathering spaces for our large group to enjoy. Easy walk to town or hop on The Wave transport that stops nearby. The owners are super helpful and responsive. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Inaccurate and misrepresentation of accommodations

In short, this listing is inaccurate. All of the spaces listed were not inhabitable. 2 of the spaces (the cottage and red room) were uninhabitable due to high moisture/dampness levels requiring us to empty dehumidifiers several times a day. Additionally, there were several plug in air fresheners making it offensive and concerning. We were counting on these spaces given the size of our family. After much effort and no success in our search for an alternate location, we had to divide our family and relocate some to a hotel. It was very disappointing to say the least and took time out of our one week stay. After much back and forth with the owner/host we have had no resolution. We have been spending time on Nantucket for many years as a family.

Great location-perfect 10 min walk to town! Very comfortable sleeping arrangements with lots of space for all the family and grandkids! The cottage and studio were great additional spaces with thoughtful touches. We absolutely loved the outdoor porch and shower! Thankful for this great find!

Perfection!

How enjoyable our stay was at this lovely spacious home in a perfect location close to town and the beaches. You will not be disappointed staying here as all details have been thought through: comfortable beds, hammock, BBQ, beach towels, board games, and everything you need in the kitchen to make a meal- definitely an entertainer's dream! We will return!!

Perfect house on Nantucket

Spacious and quirky in a very Nantucket way. Plenty of space and the apartment is great for privacy. The outdoor courtyard was an oasis to sit and have coffee in the morning or dinner at night. We will be back!

Family place

Top O' Main was a great house for our family vacation. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone and the courtyard/patio was a wonderful place to gather everyday for meals, cocktails, hanging out, and just relaxing. We had a wonderful week.

Originally from Massachusetts, I first visited Nantucket during the summers as a child. After moving out of state, my wife and I would bring our children back to the island every summer. We have since introduced our grandson, extended family, and friends to the island. The house has lots of interesting space to accommodate extended family of all ages.
