Ten min. walk to Main St. Perfect for families/groups. Gorgeous enclosed yard.

Thank you Rebecca for your review. I am happy you enjoyed your stay at "Hunky Dory" and hope you return soon. Kathleen

Thank you Linda! I do hope you and your family return soon. I was sorry your ferry left before my flight arrived and I did not have a chance to meet you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer as much as your stay on island. Kathleen

Thank you Olivia for the great review. I certainly hope you return soon. June is a wonderful time to visit before the island is busier. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at "Hunky Dory."

Thanks Erin for posting a review. It really is a special place, and I am thrilled your family enjoyed their vacation at “Hunky Dory”. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and make it back in 2026. Best wishes, Kathleen

Thank you for the five star review. It was a pleasure helping you plan your trip to the island.

Thank you for taking the time to review “Hunky Dory.” So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and a beautiful Fall weekend on the island. I hope you are able to return next Fall. Kathleen

Thank you, Taylor. It is heartwarming to hear from guests who love this house as much as I have for the past 24 years. Especially hearing from a bride who chose to stay at "Hunky Dory" for such a special week. I am so glad I asked if you would share a picture of your wedding day with me. I truly think you both were the most gorgeous bride and groom I have ever seen. I hope you both are able to return soon for an even more relaxing week. So thrilled both of you now have a shared history with my home. Congratulations and looking forward to your return! Kathleen

Thanks Kelsey for the five star review. I am so happy you all had a chance to relax and enjoy Hunky Dory's amenities. You are so right, nothing beats a hot shower outdoors, especially after a day at the beach. I hope you all have an opportunity to come back and enjoy it all again soon. Happy Fourth! Kathleen

Thanks Lauren! You are so sweet. It was a pleasure hosting you and your friends. It was wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay. I hope you return soon for a longer stay. Kathleen

Arlene, thank you for the five star review. So happy the wedding was not affected by the weather and I enjoyed seeing the beautiful sunset wedding pictures. Glad “Hunky Dory’s” location served your family’s needs for such a happy occasion. Kathleen

Thank you, Terri! It was my pleasure to have your family as guests at "Hunky Dory." I am so happy you found me very responsive, although I was in France for my birthday celebration since "Hunky Dory" was booked. September is one of my favorite times of year on Nantucket. So happy you and your family enjoyed your stay. I hope you return soon and have a happy and healthy Fall. All the best, Kathleen

Jennifer, Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your second stay at "Hunky Dory" as much as your first stay last year. I am happy you enjoyed all the amenities and were the first to enjoy the luxurious brand new Hemingway mattresses. I am thrilled your lovely family will be returning for two weeks in 2024!

Thank you Lisa for taking the time to share your thoughts about "Hunky Dory." I am so happy to hear you took full advantage of the private outdoor shower. I love it so much there that I had one built at my other home. I certainly hope you have a chance to return soon. Four weeks in 2025 have been booked since 2023, so let me know when you decide what dates you want to reserve. Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer! Kathleen

Thank you for your heartfelt review. I am excited that you will be returning to enjoy "Hunky Dory" once again. You were wonderful guests, and it makes me happy that you made, and will make, many lasting memories there. It truly is a special place. Fantastic that you booked early, since so many weeks are already booked for the summer of 2025. See you again next year!

Thank you Nicole for the kind words in your review. It will be wonderful to have your family back in 2025. Smart to plan ahead, as six weeks are already unavailable during the Summer of 2025. Your family now has a vacation to look forward to, as well as making more happy memories.

Karin, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at "Hunky Dory." I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you are able to return soon.

Michael, I was happy to hear that you loved the location of "Hunky Dory." It is an ideal location for most people. Just so there is no confusion, the downstairs full bathroom is in the hallway, not in the king bedroom. The pictures on the website have always clearly shown the size of the bedrooms. The descriptions of the twin bedrooms have always stated that they are walk-thru as well. All future guests have accurate pictures and descriptions of all rooms before booking, so I am a bit confused as to why it was awkward since that was known in advance. There are homes with different sleeping arrangements and even ensuite bathrooms for those who choose to pay for that luxury or stay in a less ideal location. Immediately upon your check-in I text you to let me know if you need anything. So of course I was disappointed to hear for the first time in your review that you found any beds uncomfortable. I reached out to you after reading your review to determine the specific issue of course. I understand everyone has different tastes in mattresses, but I certainly would have arranged for alternates had I been aware you found the twins that you and your wife slept in too firm. I had several conversations and texts with your extended family member the morning after your first night, when she and I spoke about her need for a dvd player. Of course any issue concerning the twin beds was never brought up then either. I trust you heard from her how responsive I was to her request for a dvd player so she could show personal movies that evening. I was thrilled that I was able to borrow a dvd player after hours of searching for one for sale on island, as everyone I contacted could not find one for sale there. I had it delivered that very same afternoon. I was a bit disappointed that you did not acknowledge my immediate response to that request in your review, but I assume you were aware of it, and known then you could have reached out to see how I could accommodate you regarding your issue with the twin beds. I assumed after my text upon check in, and my efforts the very next morning concerning the dvd player, that it was obvious that your family's needs were of my utmost concern.

Hi Kyle, Thank you for your review. I hope you make it back for a longer stay soon. Hope you have a wonderful summer. Kathleen

Thank you Clair for taking the time to review "Hunky Dory" after your stay. You sure had some fun activities planned during your stay. I know your guests made wonderful memories. You were wonderful guests and also deserving of a five-star review. My closest neighbors are wonderful year-round residents. When my next-door neighbor heard about your outdoor yoga session in the backyard, she was very jealous. Your friends are lucky to have enjoyed such a pampered weekend with chefs and yoga, a true five-star weekend. Certainly more fun than the weekend hosted by Jennifer Garner in the new Five Star Weekend movie set on the island that is coming out in July. I hope you return next year! Kathleen
