This single-story seaside resort condo features a living and dining area, well-equipped kitchen (with stainless appliances, glass-fronted cabinets and granite countertops), full hallway bathroom and three bedrooms, including the master suite. Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more. Accessible without stairs. 2 TVs (42' flat-screen in living room), DVD, Blu-ray, Wifi. Notes: This Sea Colony vacation rental features carpet in the bedrooms, with tile flooring in the remainder of the condo.

Needs TLC and Deep Cleaning

Sea Colony itself is amazing, especially with kids and large families. However this unit is not well maintained or cleaned. Despite the grime buildup, stained bedding, pancake flat pillows, broken lights, and lack of cleaning supplies or vacuum (which is really a problem when you’re staying literally on the beach), the unit layout was great and the view is truly incredible. This unit needs some TLC and deep cleaning at a minimum and a facelift at a maximum.

Our week

When we arrived, the condo was a mess. The kitchen was clean, but the bathrooms were not, the sliding door was wide open, there were flys everywhere and there was trash on the ground. However, guest services took care of everything immediately. Minus this initial experience, the beauty of the view and the convenience of the beach and the pool would make me recommend the condo. I would come back here.

So much potential, but room to grow

The location, view, number of rooms, and size of the property were excellent. The 20-minute walk to the Bethany Beach town center is pleasant and allows easy access to food and shops. The bathroom and kitchen were not very clean on arrival. They also didn't provide enough (or sometimes any) complementary items and toiletries (toilet paper, towels, coffee, etc.)

Comfortable place with great ocean view

Overall I was very impressed with this property. It was quiet and had a great view of the sunrise. It was very clean and exactly as pictured. Will note something’s I found: coffee grinds still in coffee maker, couch cushions could use cleaning, needs some touchups from normal use (scuffs on walls). There was no telescope for use, bring your own. Had the appropriate amount of seating on balcony and kitchen utensils for cooking. Being that I stayed in April (off season for Bethany) might be why it was quiet. I’ll be staying here again in the future for a quiet, relaxing get away. (Did not use the additional amenities such as pool and gym, so can not comment).

Sea colony vacation

Great location. Wonderful view of ocean from our balcony Many restaurants near by. Comfortable condo Well equipped kitchen. Negative side was mold on small shower and stove burner pans needed a good cleaning.

Great time with a few issues and no help from Vacasa

The apartment was great, location was perfect on the beach and to the pool. The parking spot you get in covered which is a big plus. The few issues were very moldy shower head (black mold) and shower curtains. The water dispenser on the fridge did not work so had to buy a ton of water bottles. The dishwasher didn’t really clean either. The washing machine worked well but again pretty moldy. One of the toilets didn’t refill with water so you had to open the cover and tug the inside lever every time. So just a lot of small annoying things but the view was spectacular and Bethany is a great beach. The biggest issue was that after calling Vacasa, they told me twice that a relations person would call me to rectify and it never happened. So be ready for them to not care.

Great beach vacation

Property as pictured. Kitchen had everything one would need. Lots of towels provided. Could have been more paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags provided.

The size, layout, kitchen and view are all the best. Our second time staying in this exact condo. This time, condition and cleanliness was an issue. We TOTALLY get the staffing shortages related to COVID. But please set the expectation ahead of time and/or lower the cost/fees. We had to spend at least 30 minutes cleaning the place when we arrived (vacuum the whole condo, clean the counters, bathrooms, etc.) That was frustrating after a 9 hour drive. Thank you.

Great Stay

The checkin/checkout process was very easy. The condo was very nice. They supplied the linens and plenty of towels. The master shower/tub is dated but the other shower was great. The view was awesome. The condo is near the elevators but we didnt hear them. The condo isnt close to the trash room, so no noise from it. This was our 4th time at Sea Colony. Sea Colony was good (even in Covid era), though some activities were canceled (ie. smores).

Beautiful condo, in perfect location

Our family truly enjoyed the time we spent at this property. This updated unit features thoughtful appointments and comfortable furniture, with an amazing view of the ocean. The location couldn’t be better in our opinion. The unit was very clean, and Sea Colony does a great job sanitizing all public areas. We were able to social distance, while still enjoying the beach! Overall an excellent choice, we would stay again..
