Jersey City Homestay

A convenient location in Jersey City, Nice big home with many bedrooms for hosting a family getaway to visit NY/NJ area. The place was clean and safe (next to a police station) and close to Liberty State Park (to hop on to 'Statue of Liberty' tours).

Jersey City apartment

Very clean, well looked after, apartment on the 2nd floor. We had the whole floor to ourselves and loved the stay. Parking was easy in front of the building and there were always spots on the street too. The police department across the street made us feel very safe but the neighborhood was safe and quiet even when we returned late at night. Host was very helpful and attentive. Washer and Dryer were new. Will stay again on our next visit!

Centennial Celebration

My family was in town for my dad’s memorial and grandma’s centennial at Ellis Island. Great location, directly across from one of the NJ police stations and fairly close to NY. We were on the top floor and my mom who’s 82 with arthritis in both knees was able to make it up the 4 flights of stairs pretty well. A very spacious 4 bdrm, 2 full bath apartment housed 8 of us with 5 queen/double beds. If you have elderly/handicap individuals, please be careful in the showers (no handicap rail). Communication with host was good and within 24hrs. We were able to clarify parking, there is a parking space for each unit. We had a good experience!

Family and friends Vacation Stay.

The property is clean and right in front of a Police station so you feel that you have 24/7 security detail...lol 👍😉👍...the flight of stairs (we stayed on the 3rd floor) will be a challenge for the not so-light-traveler as our group but overall the property has a lot to offer and conveniences that a short-term stay could offer.

Cleanliness was an Illusion

This place was absolutely filthy from the moment we walked in. We were not even immediately able to get into the property because the owner gave us the wrong entrance code. The couches had enormous stains all over them. There was makeup and hair on the sheets and the bed, stains on the pillows, hair in the bathroom, fake eyelashes left on a lamp shade in one of the bedrooms, broken mirrors in the bedrooms and broken toilet seats in the bathroom. It was so dirty that we had to buy our own cleaning supplies to even be able to sleep or shower, we had to wash every sheet and blanket and even then it did not really help. The place was also right across the street from a precinct which was not communicated anywhere in the booking or after we booked the reservation. The lock on the second door in the place was also a slightly broken lock and we had to contact the host multiple times to figure out how to lock the door and make sure our belongings were safe. We came in from out of town and had no other options for places to stay so we had to sleep in this dirty, uncomfortable place for the remainder of the weekend.

Highly surprised with this kind of comments / feedbacks. She stayed in my apartment for 3 nights , I was never told about any issue (we texted and spoke by phone several times). It is me who should complaint, my place was left in really poor condition: bottles of liquors everywhere , bags of garbage at front of my house, missing sheets, stains on mattresses, broken mirrors and finally they did not respect privacy of my properties in cabinets located on restricted area without my permission. I strongly believe Lexie wrote this bad review as she knew that my feedback would be very poor and that I would claim money for all damages in my apartment. Very convenient to make up complaints after she left the apartment. I do not recommend Lexie to any host
