Check in communication was great. It was close to several subway and bus stops so transportation all over the city was easy and quick. Location was convenient, beds were comfortable

Very clean and spacious. Amazing value for the location. Walked to Central Park in minutes and then to Times Square. Private. Loved that each bedroom had HVAC systems that worked very well. Comfortable. Communication with the host was timely, accurate and respectful. Would recommend.

Close to Central Park and near Subway stations. The apartment is next to a bar so it is very loud and the windows are not good so you hear everything. Showers are not sealed well so water leaks everywhere.

The host was very communicative and I do appreciate that aspect. However, to be transparent, this home was filthy and poorly kept. The floors are falling apart and sinking. The chairs are all severely stained. A tile in the upstairs bathroom has severe water damage and is sinking into the ground. There are structural cracks in the roof and there is genuine reason to be worried about it caving in. There are nails sticking out of the stairs. For the price, these conditions are unacceptable. It is nice to have room for your group to stay together - but I don’t believe this is a safe place to stay in.

The location is pure gold. Close to Central Park and the Roosevelt Island Tram and countless other things. We loved, loved, loved the location. The bedrooms comfortably fit my family, and the extended family who met us in NYC for this epic trip/family gathering, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was small but servicable for the limited cooking we did. The place could use a deep cleaning. The couch in the living room is a pull-out bed, but it was gross. We had to clean it ourselves. There is also some basic maintenance needed. The upstairs guest shower lets water onto the floor, and you can tell the cabinet has been soaking up that water for a while. All the bathrooms could use a couple of hooks or towel bars, and a few more chairs in the living room would be ideal. We made it work by using the dining room chairs, but it meant we had to constantly move them around. Overall, I'm giving 4 stars because it's NYC, the location is amazing, and it was affordable. Maybe if it were super clean and maintained, we couldn't have afforded it. So just know that you're getting an amazing location and good customer service from the host, but don't be surprised by the state of the apartment. I would stay here again, just for the location.

There was nothing about this place that was either spacious or stylish.The primary room was large, but the rest of the rooms were small. The kitchen is tiny, and the step up to go into the kitchen and 3/4 bathroom didn’t make much sense.We had issues with all three showers. One shower had absolutely no hot water, the other two had knobs that you had to fiddle with to find warm water.Outlets and TVs didn’t work.The most issue of concern was the level of the hand rails, which based on what we measured, is not within code.Hand rails are not to code, which is dangerous for your guests, especially older guests. Current NYC code is 34”-38”, so these rails are out of code. Floors are sloped and uneven.Chairs in living room are all sunken.Chairs in dining room are all stained, and frankly gross. Several bath towels were too small and should be replaced with regular sized towels.No wash clothes or bath mats provided, and you need to add more hand towels for bathrooms.There were several TVs in the VRBO, none of which would turn on. Shower on top floor has no hot water All shower water controls need to be replaced. We had to fiddle with it every time we showered. Sometimes it took awhile to turn it off. Not enough glasses. There were 3 glasses in the cupboard. Towel bar in the master room upstairs is falling off the wall and unable to be used. Several outlets did not work.

Excellent location. Perfect for easy access to all parts of NYC. Five bedrooms as promised so works for larger group. The place needs some updating to make it feel welcoming and fresher. But hard to find something of this size in NYC.
