​​​​​​​This cute and cozy cottage is conveniently located near Kids Park and the Blue Staircase.

INSIDE THE HOME

This is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home; all on one level. The shared bathroom off the hallway has a shower/tub and single vanity sink. The kitchen is spacious and fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Appliances include a gas range and oven, dishwasher and a fridge with a filtered water dispenser. There is a mud room with a stacked washer and dryer. The living room has two sofas and a smart TV. A/C and internet access are available.

This vacation rental sleeps 5 guests.

First bedroom- Queen bed

Second bedroom- twin bed plus twin bunk beds

OUTDOOR SPACE

The backyard is spacious, private and enclosed with a patio table and chairs. You can grill dinner on the gas grill and sit in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit at night. The front yard has views of Lake Michigan.

PARKING

There is an attached one stall garage and a second car can be parked in the driveway or, as available, in the street in front of the home.

LOCATION

This home is œ a block away from Kids Park and 1 œ blocks from the blue staircase down to the beach. Access to the Van Buren bike trail is nearby. Kids Park is recently remodeled with new playground equipment. In the evening you can sit in benches at the park and watch a beautiful Lake Michigan sunset.

July 4th get-a-way

Awesome location for July 4th celebration. Lots going around the beach, the park, and downtown South Haven. This location made everything within walking distance and the property was great for my family if five.

Great location

5 stars because you cannot beat the location of this property. It’s a short walk to the beach and if you have young kids, it’s across the street from Kid’s Corner playground! The only negative feedback we have is the queen bed in the “master” room is very uncomfortable. It’s a small house, but it had everything we needed for our week long beach trip.

Cutest cottage, close to everything in SH

We loved this cottage so much! Our son had so much fun walking to the playground and beach with us every day. The cottage has everything you need and is comfortable. It’s a wonderful location and a beautiful area. We will be back next year!

Close to the beach! Perfect for family of 5.

While this is an older home, it does have some nice upgrades. The best part is location!! Steps away from the blue stairs and playground. Perfect for a family of 5 if your kiddos can stay in one room.

Cozy little cottage.

The curtains in the living room did not allow enough light in and were difficult to open. The rods kept falling down when we tried to open them. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked which and the care packages were a nice gesture. Loved being so close to the lake.

There was a cat urine smell to the bedroom even though there is a no pets policy. Also, there were no amenities in the kitchen such as coffee, salt % pepper. Maybe it said that in the description.....

Great spot for a long weekend - location cannot be beat.

The location of this little home is ideal for families with younger kids. Half a block from Kids Corner and a block to the beach -- made for a lovely summer weekend get away -- beach, park, and sunsets are all right out the front door. Home is for sure small (worked perfectly for our family of four) but very functional and a nice sized fenced in backyard. If you plan to cook, you will need to bring any pantry items beyond the most basic (oil and s&p). We would love to come back for another summer escape.

Great location. Property could be updated.

The location was perfect. Very close to the kids corner park and my kids (6 and 9) enjoyed playing there everyday. The sunsets were great from the park. The beach at the bottom of the blue stairs was a little rocky but short walk to south beach where it was much more shallow/calm for the kids. For the house - the flooring appears to be shifting or was improperly installed as there are large gaps between boards. There are only 4 beds. The listing indicated sleeps 6 but I think the 6th guest would have to sleep on the air mattress or a couch (didn't matter to our family Of 4). The air conditioning ran very loudly. But the backyard was nice to play in. The fire pit and patio for s’mores was perfect. Appreciated having the washer dryer and dishwasher soap already available.

Great location

We loved this house for our family of four. It was so close to the Kids Corner park, which we visited daily. Very close walk to the south beach blue stairs also. Would recommend this property to anyone.

We wanted a small rental home/cottage with close proximity to the Lake and to our friends on Superior St. This home was perfect and we had a fantastic time! It is a darling home that is steps from the Lake and, being a block away from the Kids Park, any noise from there doesn't impact you. Perfect location! Fantastic and friendly customer service. This is our second stay at the Sunchaser property - we love the location and amenities, perfect for our family (2 adults, 3 small kids). Upgrades since last year were noted and appreciated. A few things we noticed (all very minor and would not stop us from staying again): -extra pillows (in master closet, not sure about other bedroom closet) need pillowcases -would be nice to have two nightstands in master bedroom -can the dining table be upgraded to seat at least 5, since that's how many the home sleeps? or alternately, a spare chair (even a folding chair) be available so everyone can eat together? -there are a couple of ?bloodstains? on the bathroom wall near the light switch -a few more cereal type bowls are needed - one has a big crack and I think that just leaves three If this particular property is ever available for purchase, we would be interested! interactions were pleasant and informative
