Bienvenue à la vie gracieuse mais décontractée dans la ville animée South Haven. Le charme d'antan avec des équipements modernes et un mobilier confortable. Détendez-vous à l'aise dans le grand salon, nouvelle salle familiale éclairée par le soleil de la marque, les porches ... Marque nouvelles chambres et bain à l'étage (hiver '13) passer la journée à la plage (Sud ou Nord sont facilement accessibles), sur la riviÚre à pied, shopping à Downtown (3 pùtés de maisons), ou à tout autre nombre de festivités prÚs de la ville, y compris Farmers Market tous les samedis pendant les mois chauds. Privé, emplacement calme à la fin de cul-de-sac au sommet d'une petite falaise.

We had a lovely stay. The house was surprisingly spacious, lots of lounge space and tall ceilings. Really with everything you could need. The location is amazing, walkable to beach and town. We could see the black river from the front steps. Because its at the end of a cul de sac, we could throw a football with our kids out in the street without worrying about through traffic. This house really exceeded all of our expectations. Would definitely want to stay here again.

Girls trip

Wonderful property. Perfect for our girls trip. Close to Saugatuck and then back for dinner and drinks in South Haven. Really enjoyed the rooftop deck for sitting and relaxing and watching boats come and go through the harbor. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you . Thanks so much

Wonderful property and location

This is our 3rd time staying at this wonderful home. The location can't be beat, very close to town and not too far from the beach. The screened in front porch is where we spent most of our time, just lovely. We had a small issue and the hosts were available and immediately responded.

Blueberry Fest 2024


This is our third time, 2nd year for blueberry fest staying at the property. We always have a great time here. Location is perfect, house is spacious and beds are comfy. So many rooms and seats to share. Quiet and calm setting. You cannot go wrong staying at this property. Owners are great to deal with. Will definitely be back next year.

Great vacation home

We loved our stay at his house. We have stayed in South Haven for a few years and this location is perfect . A few blocks to downtown , short walk to the beach and beautiful view of the black river from the upstairs deck. The house is huge , everything you need for a great stay . Julie is great to communicate with and can’t wait for next summer !

Location, space, joy

Outstanding location, minutes walk from restaurants, bars, beach, river, park. Pictures do not give justice to how much space you have on this property. Lots of toys, games, and activities. Great place for a family vacation. Will visit again!

Loved location and space

For a group of 6 of us we thoroughly enjoyed this home; it was our 3rd time and it did not disappoint. The large screen room was a highlight. We were easily able to utilize kitchen and grill for several meals at home. Thank you for new memories. We will return!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the south beach/near town charmer 


Second time staying, first time for full week. Loved the screened in porch and upper exterior deck areas for morning coffee and evening champagne
 So spacious with a lot of seating for hosting friends and family. Location was perfect for walking uptown and evening walks
 Garage had fun things for activities like bags game and bicycles
 Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely be back next year.

Family vacation.

We took our family vacation Labor Day weekend with our two adult daughters. The house was awesome in every phase. The location was great as we were within a few blocks of downtown, the beach and other places. The screened in porch was great. We cannot wait to return!

Nice wrap around porch

Hello, We enjoyed our stay on Huron street. The living space, porch and 3 restrooms were nice. Great location. Roof space has a nice view. Some suggestions; the bunk bed is very dated. The person who slept in it kept bumping their arm and head when turned over. The kitchen needs updating lighting. Even with the stove light on the refrigerator...still was vary dark. All communication was good. I hope the owner found the missing set of keys. Thank you

Sweet Summer Memories

This was our first time staying at South Beach Charmer and we were there for 8 nights. We loved every minute of our stay. The location can’t be beat! We walked EVERYWHERE! Super close to downtown, the Farmer’s Market and South Beach access. The screened porch can’t be beat! It was our favorite place in the home. The amount of space in this home is amazing. The family room couch is so comfortable, and having 3 living spaces was wonderful! We traveled with our children and 10 month old grandson and the home was perfect. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are spacious and new while the main floor bedroom seems original to the home. It is charming and we love the historical feel of the home. The upstairs balcony was great for sitting outside to read a book in the sun and the screened porch was well used for dinners and game nights. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved having a washer and dryer. Julie was great with communication and was super helpful! We made some pretty special memories at this home and can’t wait to return next summer! Thank you for having us!

Poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness spoil this otherwise lovely home in a great location.

I have rented several properties in SH in the past, and this one is large and in a great location. Sadly, it is not well cared for. When we arrived we saw that the front and screen porch were not swept. The screen porch, a nice addition, was less inviting due to the visible dirt and cobwebs on all the screens and food crumbs in seat cushions. Food crumbs were also in the couches inside the house and on the indoor floors . We also found a letter in the kitchen from the city of SH saying “this is a 3rd and final notice” for the owner to schedule a mandated property inspection, and that the water would be turned off during the week of my rental. When I notified the owner, she indicated that this was taken care of. That was not true, as two men from the city arrived midway through the week and said they were there to turn off the water that day! Luckily they were understanding of my predicament as a renter and said they would wait until the weekend to turn off the water. I informed the owner of this and she essentially blew it off. (Incidentally, the men from the city also made mention of how the outside of the home did not look like it had been cared for, so I was not alone in my opinion.) The kitchen was dirty, i.e., pots and pans were greasy to the touch and hanging from a pot rack covered in stuck-on cobwebs, and baseboards and corners were frankly filthy with food crumbs, cobwebs, etc. This was true throughout the first floor. The upstairs seemed cleaner, perhaps because it is a newer addition. The balcony has a great view but was also barely swept; dirt, leaves etc. circled the entirety, as did a ring of mildew on the railing. The piĂšce de resistance was the grill CATCHING ON FIRE because the grease trap was full. Luckily my husband, who was grilling at the time, had seen the fire extinguisher and used it quickly. It’s a minor miracle no one was hurt, what if the propane tank exploded!? I told the homeowner about this immediately and she was pretty nonchalant. She essentially told me to just eat at the local restaurants in SH, like oh well đŸ€·â€â™€ïž. It was only Tuesday so I took it upon myself to clean the grill after researching how to do so. I asked the owner to refund my cleaning fee for this, and she essentially ignored me. I told her all of the above info prior to posting this review but received only a flat refusal to return the cleaning fee. So, caveat emptor with this property! At least the grill is clean!

Great Halloween mini vaca in a beautiful home

My family and I had an awesome time.Julie was a pleasure to work with.House was clean, spacious, warm and charming.We loved the upstairs exterior deck overlooking the channel.Walked in for five minutes and our mom wanted to book it for next years blueberry fest
Many areas to sit in with great furniture.Large screened in porch with close location to downtown.Numerous bathrooms made it very convenient..Will definitely be back next year

Nice getaway!

The house is in a good location. House is located on a dead end road .Walking distance to downtown and South Beach 10 min. Very large roomy house. Has one bedroom downstairs and 2 upstairs. Bedroom downstairs had lumpy mattress. Had to contact the owner because front door deadbolt did not lock .She told us the how to make it work . House could use a good cleaning as there were cobwebs and sand on tables . They had bikes in garage and outdoor games which we used . I would recommend this house. This is a good family vacation house.
