From the lanai are breathtaking sunrises, sunsets and views of the ocean. You will be lulled to sleep each night by the sound of ocean waves. Three coral reefs are parallel to the shore in front of the building creating a perfect spot for snorkeling and swimming. This condo is conveniently located just a short drive to golf, shops, water activities, restaurants, luaus and entertainment.

It took a bit to find our unit, but we reached out to Crystal through text a.d get help. In addition, a coupled of "residents" help find out unit. Key lockbox was a bit tricky. Upon entering unit was Clean, updated,and had all we needed for the trip. We really just had to pack our clothes! 3rd night into our trip we had a broken garbage disposal and closet door, But we contacted Crystal via text and it was replaced/repaired next day while we were out. Last night in the unit, we had bugs come in through the living room windows and smoke detector in the bedroom started to beep. Overall, the unit had everything we needed for the trip, beautiful sunrise and sunset to see just outside our doors! Mahalo!

Experience Paradise!

Lovely setting and right next to the ocean. Wake up with tropical birds singing and views of the sandy beach and ocean. Palm trees and beautiful tropical vegetation line your condo. Very clean and spacious, easy access to main roads and restaurants and shopping. We had a marvelous experience and will do it again!

Great Condo

This was a great condo and excellent location. Condo as well cap and had all the amenities we needed to have a great trip. Literally walked down the sidewalk and you’re at the ocean for amazing views and sounds. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was huge and all the appliances were great. Overall an exceptional stay

Great location

The condo is in a great area for walking to restaurants/stores/beach etc. A gorgeous ocean view from the lanai and from the front of the building The exterior lights were burned out so it was hard to see to unlock door at night. Besides that it’s a clean updated condo.

Great place and great location!

The condo was clean and close to most everything! Check in was easy and the condo basically has everything you would ever need- tons of towels, blankets (not that we needed them cuz it was so hot out), beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels etc. Only downside is that there is no a/c in the bedroom. There is a ceiling fan but we actually opted to sleep in the living room on the pull out couch where there was a/c and it was perfect. Great place!

Lovely condo by the water

Clean, spacious, convenient parking, included all desired amenities (coffee maker, toaster, fridge, dishes, cutting boards, extra pillows and sheets, lots of towels, shampoo, hand soap, place mats), nice outside viewing area for sunsets by the water, eating breakfast on the balcony was lovely. Great location: food trucks a couple blocks away open in evenings with lots of great food, nearby shopping area has a good Hawaiian fast-food place with excellent oxtail soup, going north there are many beaches for playing in the waves and snorkeling, and some beautiful overlooks (Nakalele Blowhole is a nice place). Great place :-)

We are very sorry that the cleaners missed under the bed, and I will make sure we follow up on that. I am though a little perplexed that I wasn't notified that there were items we needed to return to another guest. This is the first I have been notified of that. I like to return items that get left behind. The photos on the website are accurate and were taken from the lanai as stated on the photos. I am happy that this guest was able to enjoy the serene atmosphere at Maui Sands Seaside

Location of the property is 5 star

How can it be better to feel and hear the ocean at all times. Easy to get to and proximity to great beaches and highway. Yet very quiet. Impressive in all regards. Condo itself is clean but a little dated. The bedroom needs a new ceiling fan and it would be awesome. Thank goodness for the stand alone fan. Ac works great but does not cool bedroom in the rear we’ll even with the fan. We found tge evening breeze and fans were much more pleasant and effective. Nice plus beach chairs and umbrella👍. Well equipped but limited food storage space we ended up using the island to hold our non fridge items. Not a deal breaker by any means. Loved early am coffee and supper on lanai. My wife and I enjoyed watching the sun disappear nightly from the front deck area. Also very good whale watching and we even treated to a couple days of evening surfing as it had a unusual large swell on our visit. The bad was not functioning dishwasher again not a deal breaker but we were never told it wasn’t functioning prior to arrival and the management company informed us they knew. So that would have been nice so we didn’t fill it and screw around trying to figure it out when it was needing replacement. I did receive a call from some appliance of repair place about measuring up for a new one. So hopefully it’s fixed. The one burner on the stove did not work ( front left) , even after the repair man supposedly came on our last day stay. No drain for the kitchen sink seems bad idea to not have one without a working dishwasher. Was requested day 1 never saw one. I can’t say the property manager wasn’t responsive they did via text quickly but not much was done other then reply. Would I stay again Yes. It’s location makes up for the miscues. Mahola

Great location, a little run down.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and this condo fit our budget for a two week stay. The area is somewhat walkable and there are a few amenities such as a fresh fish market, convenience store, grocery, snorkel rentals, etc, all within just a couple blocks. Beach access is easy however there is no direct access at the condo property. There were a few things about the condo we didn't care for and a few maintenance needs. Fortunately the property is quiet but you will still be woken a time or two or three by passersby walking to or from there own condos. With the windows all open, highly recommended, the voices sound like they are in the same room, the bedroom is right at the walkway, not very private. People can also see right in unless you close the drapes which also eliminates any breeze. The condo will get really hot if you don't manage it and then it's still hot. We decided to leave the front door open 24 hours in addition to all the windows, this finally gave us some relief. The security door is screened so it's safe. There is AC but it's not very effective and won't cool the bedroom at all. Keep everything open all day is our advice. The bedroom ceiling fan was stuck on low which was a bummer. The living room ceiling fan wabbled so much we were forced to leave it on low. Both of these problems contributed to the heat and discomfort, we did not experience any significant cross breeze in the unit for the most part, wishful thinking. This building is older and not heat resistant at all. A few other annoyances, bedside lamp did not work, even with new bulb, shower door leaks pretty good, the AC was too loud for our tastes and not worth running. Overall, the condo is a little dumpy. Last negative, the listing clearly stated and may still state, "pool.". When we called about the access code we were told our unit did not include access. Definitely a bummer. Some pluses, beach toys including snorkel gear and location. We would not stay here again but it did fit the budget for this trip.

Perfect for us

Clean and RIGHT beside the ocean. Really friendly unit owners around to hello and welcome. The sound of the ocean is amazing at night. Having a kitchen on a Hawaiian vacation is so helpful to Keeping within budget and there are multiple grocery stores walking distance from unit. We also walked to Lots of different beaches, Maui Brewing Company and loved that snorkel gear was included for us to use!

Perfect Couples Getaway

The building is older, but the inside has been updated and was clean and very comfortable with amazing sunset views!! Water access is a little difficult, but with so many beaches that are close it was not an issue for us at all. It was wonderful having the fish market and deli right across the street.

Great location, but terrible check in experience.

The property is as described and has a great view and very functional. It is very convenient/central for things in that area. However, the day before our arrival I had to ask for the details of the property as they were never sent. Upon arrival, the apartment was dirty and had not been cleaned. Prior guests dirty bedding and towels piled up. In the light of Covid-19, I would think that there would be some sort of check system to be sure the place was actually cleaned. It was hard to get in touch with someone and I had to wait for a response. We then had to go to another property for the night. This was problematic for several reasons. We had to haul our luggage back to the car. I have a toddler who is autistic and was disoriented already from travel and we had to change plans which dysregulated her further and made the night very difficult. We could not enter the apartment again until 10am the following day, but had to check out of the new property by 10am. This means that not only was our whole evening taken up by the disaster when we arrived because they do not allow check in until 4pm, but our next morning was taken up too. We could not go and do anything because our car was filled with our belongings and did not want to risk our car being broken into if we went somewhere. We had to wait around until 10 am. So essentially one whole day was wasted due to this mess. I was refunded for the evening, but felt that there should have been some additional compensation for not only the extreme trouble after very long travels, but all of our time that was wasted. We spoke with the manager of the property, and she was very apologetic and told us she would call us back after she investigated to see if there was anything else additionally she could do, but of course we never got a call back. Disappointing all around.

Excellent view and location

The photos in the listing doesn't do justice to the condo. View from the lanai is very good. Only a couple of dozen feet to the water. There is a reef protected beach that is like a small private ocean wading pool for our kids. We stayed there for 3 weeks and was lulled to sleep by the ocean. We saw turtles, whales migrating and even a seal. Very prompt responses from the host. We asked for the internet speed to be increased and we had it fixed the next day. Furniture is a bit dated, but functional. Overall an excellent stay.

Great location, but cleanliness needed work

Location was fantastic! Right at the water and the neighbourhood was very nice and safe. Stores and restaurants are close by which was great. Bed was comfortable, awesome to fall asleep to the sound of waves. Kitchen was dated but functional. The bad: As this was our wedding and we were very busy, we didn’t have much time to look over the unit to make sure there were no issues. Upon a quick inspection, we found stains and food crumbs on the living room furniture and multiple hairs on a pillow on the bed. We messaged the property manager to let her know and she replied saying that she would let her cleaners know that they missed some things. We felt like this was a lacklustre response with no offer to remedy the situation so we assumed she was not going to do anything about it. We found ants in the kitchen which the manager responded to and brought traps (we understand it’s a tropical climate and we appreciated the quick response)Two days after our initial message we were offered a free mid stay clean. We accepted. After spending more time in the unit we realized the bathroom mats looked old and didn’t appear clean and our feet were turning brown walking around the condo, even over the short distance from the shower to the bed. After the mid stay clean the condo was much better and the floors were nicely mopped. Between preparing for our wedding and visiting with friends and family we shouldn’t have had to deal with a dirty condo as well. It’s Unfortunate that it wasn’t clean from the start as it is a nice quiet place to enjoy Hawai’i.

I am happy to note that Taylor and his bride enjoyed their stay over-all. We are concerned about the cleanliness of the unit, and the First thing done when I was informed that there was an issue was to contact our cleaning service and let them know there were issues and discuss that with them. I then contacted the guest and worked to coordinate a time for a free mid-stay cleaning. The guest seemed happy with that, and then we rec'd a text from the guest that their family came in and cleaned for them. This was alarming to us as we were not able to see for ourselves the problems they were talking about, our insurance does not cover people not staying with us, and I was not told that our solution of a mid-stay clean was unsatisfactory. At this point Taylor was requesting a full refund. I explained that I would be happy to give a refund for any nights they decided not to stay, but that if they remained I would return the cleaning fee and continue with a free mid-stay clean from the owner of the cleaning service as well. I did have a subsequent conversation with the guests in which I was told that the cleaning issues spoken about in the texts were exaggerated. They also elected to stay for another 12 nights. Having a clean and comfortable property for our guests is extremely important to us, and if there are issues both the cleaning company and I will do everything we can to fix it. I refunded their cleaning fee and paid for a mid-stay cleaning as well. Taylor and his bride were nice and over-all I was happy with their stay. Other than not letting us do our jobs and fix their issues, I was happy to host them. I certainly wish them a wonderful life together and hope they are able to enjoy anniversaries on Maui at other locations.

Lovely!

Quiet, close to the water. My favorite part was listening to the waves brake at night. The sunsets were amazing and the rainbows in the morning.

Fall asleep in a clean cool nest to the sounds of waves

This property is very well managed and was fantastic to stay at. The communication before, during, and after our we checkout was thorough and clear. The unit has all the bits and pieces that you would find in your own home including beach gear. The neighbours are quite and kind and the view out front was beautiful! We watched humpback whales feeding their calf’s from the balcony while sipping our morning coffee. In the evening we were lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean gently lapping the sea wall. Could have been a bit cleaner by my standards but the whole experience trumped the little bits left behind. Thank you Heather and all the staff that made our trip lovely.

Maui Sands Seaside rocked!

We’d stay there again happily. The unit could use some updating of some of the appliances, but the location was simply great!
