Welcome to 'Picture Perfect' (OM #J13), a remodeled 1BR/1BA poolside townhome located within the beachside community of 300 Ocean Mile!

This beautifully and thoughtfully decorated townhome is the end-unit of the "J" building in 300 Ocean Mile, closest to the beach! Enter upstairs where you will find the tiled bedroom with King bed, flat screen TV and closet. The bedroom balcony overlooks the driveway and boasts views of both the Gulf of Mexico and the Apalachicola Bay. Just outside of the bedroom is the full bathroom with linen closet and combination tub/shower.

The open living area is tiled throughout with a large, flat screen TV and Twin-side sleeper chair (total maximum occupancy is 2 guests). The adjoining sundeck offers views of both the Gulf and community pool and the well-equipped kitchen and dining space has bar seating for 2, a dining table and closet with laundry center.

An easy 45 second walk along the convenient community boardwalk will find your toes in the white sand beaches and Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy community access to multiple park-style charcoal grills, picnic area with tables and loungers and two community swimming pools. A short stroll toward the Bay will find you on the 6.3 mile long Island bike path, where you can explore the length of the Island by foot or bicycle.

Parking for up to 2 vehicles is available underneath J-13 along with space to keep your kayak or SUP board, additional shaded seating and a convenient outdoor shower. Easy walking or bicycling distance to State Park!

Great Condo and Location!
This condo was a perfect place for my wife and I to stay for a week. Even though it’s not one of the units directly on the beach, it is just as quick a walk since the units all share a common boardwalk. The inside of the condo was in very good shape, clean, and quite comfortable. I would stay there again for sure.

A Lovely Place to Stay, truly "Picture Perfect"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter and I spent a wonderful week at SGI last year. This condo was very clean, well-appointed and was a really optimum location. Being at the end of the island near the State Park was nice because the beach was not crowded. And from our balcony, you could see a small stretch of the beach and at night hear the sound of the waves. Sublime... Perhaps one of the best parts was how easy it was to work with Jamie Rex at Forgotten Shores Properties. I really received individual attention which, in my experience, is not typical of property management agencies. Highly recommended!!!

Atmosphere has definitely changed
The condo was very nice. The atmosphere at 300 Ocean Mile, not so nice. The owner of the condo next door made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Felt like we were being watched with them just waiting for us to make a misstep so they could call the property manager again. Definitely not the family friendly place it once was. Seems like they might have forgotten how much summer rentals support the local community.

Perfect vacation
This was a great location for us! The end unit so close to the beach. Well stocked for our cooking needs. Nice covered area underneath for beach and fishing equipment. Nicely decorated and comfortable bed. Close to state park too! Fishing was great right behind the complex. No crowds. Great place for the relaxing beach week we needed! We will be back!

Truly the Fogotten Shores

It was overly developed, with not a lot of landscape. While we loved the condo, we would not return to the island.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. With that being said, the property as a whole is in need of repair. Decking on most of the units need replaced and the buildings need painted. The boardwalk to get to the pool has had some boards replaced , a few were replaced while we were there but it all needs fixed. The unit was decorated nicely and we liked the layout. The unit could use new silverware and a new mattress. The bed frame/headboard creaked when you get out of bed, annoying when you don’t want to wake anyone up. A major plus is the storage area beneath the unit. It has decking for the floor and netting around it to keep sand from blowing in. It was so convenient to store our beach and fishing equipment along with the shower and spigot to wash the sand off before going inside. Parking is good for one vehicle and is mostly covered although the rain can blow in fairly easily. The walk to the beach is very close which is great for heading back to eat or go to the bathroom. Another plus about location is the close vicinity to the State Park. It is a beautiful place for biking, fishing, and some hiking. One last thing the steps when walking up and down at night could use one more light to make the steps easier to see. It has one half way down the steps but one more closer to the the bottom would be helpful. If you have trouble with steps and are not steady on your feet the steps can be a little challenging.

Jamie and her team are the best on the Island. J-13 is steps from the beach. STAY at J-13.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time as first-time visitors to St. George Island. What a beautiful place. J13 is at the very end of the island, next to the state park, which I loved since it was not busy at all. I ran and biked the state park every morning and it was just lovely. The condo itself was clean, well-appointed, and within steps to the beach. The deck and stairs need some TLC as some of the rails were split and all of it looked pretty weather-beaten. But, we spent most of our time on the beach, so it was fine. I loved the shower at the bottom of the stairs to wash off sandy feet. My only complaint would be the property managers...they were rude, unfriendly, and borderline scary. My teenage children did hop the fence to swim one night, so full-disclosure that it was entirely their fault, but they immediately left when I saw them, however the property managers followed them, and me, and would not let it rest even after a full apology. It was over-the-top to the point that I had to call Forgotten Shores because several of their comments crossed the line. We met several condo owners during our week there and they all echoed my sentiments- that the property managers need to go and act like lunatics, so there's that. But, we would stay again (and hopefully never see them) as it was a wonderful vacation, the condo was just right, and the location can't be beat.

We ended up setting up on the beach at the state park each day because you had more space to spread out. Beach area in front of condo was more crowded but not as bad as most beach areas. The condo complex itself definitely needs some outdoor maintenance but this specific unit’s inside was updated, clean, and very nice. I would not let the need for maintenance to the complex as a whole stop you from renting this unit. We appreciated receiving text from the rental agency that our condo was ready early. We’ve never had this happen with any other rental. Very nice gesture! We also loved the gear credit we received with our rental and rented bikes with it for the week. We rode bikes close to state park entrance to watch sunset each clear night. The state park is highly recommended. Climbing the lighthouse was fun also. This side of the island is less crowded and quieter which we appreciated.

Wonderful stay and condo!
The condo is exactly as the pictures show: clean, beautifully decorated and great location. We didn’t expect it, but you can sit on deck and see the ocean! The condo was super clean ( I’m picky) and quiet. First time not renting a house so we were concerned about noise-but it was never a problem. We stayed for three weeks and everything was great. The check in/out so easy. Property management checked on us to follow up if we needed anything. Would definitely rent again.

Picture Perfect for the Third Time

We appreciated the addition of the combination lock. The new thermostat took some getting use to. Some instructions should be included in the unit about how to use this. We especially like the location of Picture Perfect on the beach Ocean end of the building providing extra natural light and the wrap-around deck. Ocean Mile is a well maintained and quiet community.

Love the beach in October, and dark skies for star-gazing!
This unit is part of a condo community. Perfect location, quiet corner unit, with a view of the pool and boardwalk to beach. Beautiful sand, very easy to walk on, and secluded state park is close by so the area is nice and quiet. We actually went there during the new moon in October to enjoy the (almost) dark skies area, and actually saw wisps of the Milky Way on several clear nights.
