Great home for boaters

This is the perfect property for boaters and families in Matlacha. Home is updated and has every amenity needed for a great time. We have stayed twice and will definitely return.

Great spacious house.

We had a blast over Christmas! Swimming, fishing, biking, working out, chartered a boat, swimming. Douglas, the owner, was awesome and Jerry, the neighbor, was very helpful. Kitchen could use more equipment, items...other than that, excellent!

Disappointed

My husband and I recently booked a one-month stay at "A Perfect Day in Matlacha" through VRBO. While we loved the home's layout and beautiful views, the overall experience was disappointing. One of the listed amenities was a garage, which was an important factor in our decision to book this property with a new vehicle. However, a week before our arrival, we were informed the garage would not be available - something that should not have been listed as an amenity.Upon arrival, it was clear the home wasn't properly cleaned. The kitchen trash was full, a used water bottle was left sitting out the the pool, and the mater bed's sheets were thrown on the bed backwards. It didn't feel as though as though a professional cleaning service had prepared the space. We ended up washing all the bedding ourselves and buying cleaning supplies just to make the home feel clean and comfortable. The kitchen was also very sparsely stocked.Halfway through our stay, the pool pump stopped working. After notifying the owner, it took over a week to get a response, leaving us without a functioning pool for a large portion of our stay. While the owner was good at communicating with us, nothing was offered to make up for the many inconveniences we experienced. For the price we paid, the overall experience fell far short of our expectations. Sadly, we will not be returning to this property.
