A tropical oasis in the Heart of Lbk: 2 houses on 1 lot - The Copacabana is the front house & The Bung is the back house, together you have the Island.

PLUS: A outdoor paradise with firepit, grill & games!

The Copa and The Bung are in one of the best areas of Lubbock. You are a short walk to Texas Tech, restaurants and shopping. It's just minutes to the hospitals and entertainment, a 10-minute drive from the airport, and a short drive to Southwest Lubbock.

The Copacabana was built in 1937 and has been updated, but keeping the original beautiful hardwood floors, with the addition to the house having Saltillo tile. It is decorated with a Coastal flair, to let you imagine being at the beach while in Lubbock ;)

The Bung sits behind the Copa, and is a very clean and spacious, 1 bedroom, 1 bath Bungalow with beautiful Saltillo tile floors. It is fully furnished with a retro and a coastal flair.

The Copa’s bedrooms are themed: "Good Vibrations" has a queen size bed filled with Pineapples and Palm Leaves. "Coconutz" has a king size bed filled with coconuts and Palm Trees. "Toes in the Sand" has a king size bed filled with sand from various beaches. "Turtle Cove" has a queen size bed filled with Sea Turtles. The Bung’s bedroom has a king size bed with a mood base, which allows you to raise the bed for reading or watching TV, and a twin size bed. All the bedroom closets are filled with hangers, a suitcase rack, and a soft fluffy robe for the ladies. Each room has a Smart TV with Firesticks: Netflix, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ (local channels via antennae).

The Copa’s living room has (2) deep seated sofas with queen mattress pull-outs for extra guests. The Bung’s living room has a soft leather couch, and a single cot in the bedroom closet.

Both kitchens are very spacious and are fully equipped, including coffee bars!

The back yard is perfect for enjoying life outdoors! There is a gas grill and fire pit, tables, multiple seating areas, and lounge chairs to soak up the sun. Cornhole boards, Darts and Horseshoes to enjoy
or have some friendly competition!

AMENITIES: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and hair dryer are all on hand for your use. Washer/Dryer, WiFi, Smart TV’s with Firesticks: Netflix, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ (local channels via antennae).

This was our second time to stay in Beverly's wonderful home. I can't say enough good things about it and her. The space is perfect for a large group, decor is super cute, back yard is so fun, place is VERY clean and the beds are the most comfortable beds all of us have ever experiences in a VRBO. Beverly is the most gracious of hosts and communication is spot on. Could not recommend more highly. Thanks for another wonderful stay, Beverly! Hope to see you again next year! :-)

Beverly is an amazing host! We loved the house. The backyard fire pit and cornhole was perfect for our family get together. The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything you would need. The bathrooms have been redone and are very nice. The “Bung” adds another level of privacy for other guests. And of course the location right be Texas Tech is a big plus.

The Island on 21RaiderAlley will be our go-to place from here on out!Looking for a central location to have Christmas with family and found The Island and Bung. Not only is the house spacious with great decor/themes, but the outdoor area adds to the fun and provides additional space and activities for a wide range of ages and interests.The house has great amenities and is very well stocked with utensils and small appliances for meal preparation.The price is justified with the quality of bedding, linens, and provided personal care items.Beverly is a superstar owner! Communication is easy and fast. Everyone agreed we will absolutely stay at the Island and Bung the next time we get together in Lubbock.

Best place in Lubbock to stay!

Such a cute place! You can tell that Beverly put so much thought, effort and love in decorating it and making sure her guests have all they need. Absolutely perfect for larger groups. The little bungalow in the back was great for us, since we had one couple with a dog. The backyard between the two structures was so enjoyable. We all had a ball, and Beverly was the best. Could not recommend more highly :-)

Relax in Raider Land

Great house close to campus. Comfortable beds with all the amenities. Backyard with lots of space and tons of activities. Perfect location for a weekend celebration for a Texas Tech graduate. The yard offered a fun place to relax and enjoy family without feeling crowed. All enjoyed the games provided and atmosphere. The Island Stay Sept 7-9 2024.

The property was perfect for our family visiting Lubbock for our grand daughter's wedding. We had a total of 14 guests staying at the property for two nights. Very cordial host gave us a warm welcome. She met us upon our arrival and provided a tour of the property and information for all the amenities. She also recommended places in the area which may be of interest. The property is very clean and with many amenities provided. We would definately book this property again for future gatherings in Lubbock.

We were in town to attend funeral services. This home was perfect for our large family and with enough space so little ones could have their own space to sleep in their pack-n-plays. Beverly was kind enough to move as many items as possible so our grandchildren weren’t tempted to touch items they shouldn’t. The home was conveniently located for the services we needed to attend as well as convenient to many food options and easy access to and from the airport. The home was perfect for our stay in Lubbock.

Loads of Fun

We had loads of fun staying at the Island, even though we were there for our Dad's Celebration of Life Reception. We watched videos of Dad's life, cooked hamburgers on the grill, played dominoes on the outside tables, played darts, played cornhole, and ended the night at the fire pit. Loved the property. The outdoor tables and dart areas had great ambiance with the string lights, but would have been good to have better lighting for after-dark gaming. That is the only thing I would change about our stay. The property is set up well for awesome entertaining and visiting!

Our Journey -
21 Raider Alley was born out of passion for student comfort. We are located on the 2400 block of 21st Street, less than half a mile from Texas Tech University, serving students from 50 states and more than 100 countries.
My name is Beverly Davis. I live in Lubbock, Texas with my husband, Tony, and daughter, Allison. As a mother, I saw the need for comfortable and inviting student accommodations. Every parent’s greatest joy is knowing that their child feels at home, even while away.
I have always had passion for kids, having worked as a Lifeguard, Summer Camp Counselor, and Pre-School Assistant. For almost 18 years and running, I have worked for the local ABC and CBS News Stations, just 3 miles from one of my greatest passions - 21 Raider Alley.
After seeing the need for student housing in 2004, I decided to invest in Texas Tech rental homes. This gave me an opportunity to work with kids while solving every parent’s problem: offering affordable, secure and comfortable accommodations for their children - all while building a great investment for my own daughter!
After buying my first rental on 21st Street, I quickly realized what a great block it was and continued purchasing homes on the block over the next several years. In 2017, I began my mission to provide a home away from home for people traveling to Lubbock for work, pleasure or to visit their children. I decided to turn a few of my homes into Vacation Rentals, and thus, The Bung, Copacabana, The Island, The Beachcomber, The Hut and The Freaky Tiki were born.

My guests enjoy great comforts in my Vacation Rentals, all just walking distance of Texas Tech University.

TTU Students, parents, and visiting travelers need not worry about commuting. Nor do they need to worry about our homes. We keep them sparkly clean, tidy and well-maintained. We focus on providing outstanding hospitality that helps us build long term trust amongst our guests. We can’t wait for you to see for yourself!
