This was a great house for our group. The location is wonderful with easy access to downtown Palo Alto and the Stanford campus. The house is nicely decorated with comfortable beds. I'm always annoyed at rentals that ration towels and bedding, so I didn't love only being allocated one towel and not having any throw blankets, etc. around, but it didn't detract from our stay. The kitchen was adequate, but sparsely appointed. The window AC units weren't quite up to the job of dealing with the unusual heat during our stay, but that's probably not typically an issue. The WiFi also wasn't working, but when I let the host know, they provided a different WiFi option immediately (it was my own fault for not reaching out sooner). All in all, the house was perfect for our needs, and the location was fantastic.

Wonderful location

Exactly what we were looking for. Clear check in /out process all accommodations exactly as listed. I know the host has no control over this, so no ding on them, but it is very noisy when the folks upstairs are walking around. Overall a wonderful home. We will definitely stay here again if available.

Wonderful Condo Near Downtown Palo Alto

We had a fabulous stay at this fresh, roomy condo! The positives of this condo: 1. first floor with only a few steps to enter (in case you’re traveling with individuals with mobility issues) 2. All rooms are spacious 3. Kitchen is clean with new cookware and utensils. 4. Quiet, beautiful, safe neighborhood and quiet neighbors 5. Furniture and decor is fresh and beautiful 6. Propert management is friendly, prompt and helpful 7. Convenient is you’re traveling with your pet (easy to take for walks and small side yard to get fresh air) 8. Very comfortable bedding, mattresses, towels,showers etc 9. Very quick and convenient to all shops and restaurants downtown We loved it and hope many others have wonderful trips here. 10. Very close to Stanford and all major tech companies

Channing Place was exactly as advertised

The property description and reviews were accurate. It was in a quiet and safe neighborhood with a few minute drive to excellent restaurants, Whole Foods and other nice shops on University Ave. The drive to Stanford Medical and University was 7 - 10 minutes away. The place was clean and bedding comfortable. We did a lot of cooking at home and found the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans but were often running out of basic items such as glasses plates and bowls. The one parking spot was convenient but won’t fit anything larger than a medium sized sedan. The three bedroom unit is part of a larger house that has two units above. You can hear the upstairs neighbors walking on their hardwood floors but they were quiet otherwise. This is a VRBO is a great option if you need a pet friendly home close to the University or Medical Center.

Kickoff in Palo Alto

Clean property about a mile from the campus stadium. Certainly a convenient location for college football fans. Check in/check out was easy. Host was available through the VRBO app to answer all questions.

Great location for Palo Alto stay

Clean and comfortable apt for our long weekend in Palo Alto. The master shower was a but tricky (you have to move the little knob on the handle). We could walk to downtown and Madame Collette for delicious pastry. Parking is a little tight, but doable.

Just like home, only in town

We needed a plan for living and remote working for a couple of weeks while work was done on our home, and this was a perfect solution. The property is spacious, well furnished and super clean. We were able to migrate enough “stuff” to make it function for us. The owner allows pets, so our dog got the chance to explore new streets — same old squirrels, though. It is located in a neighborhood near but not in the downtown area — lovely parks within walking distance, and other offerings a bit further away. The property manager was terrific — we had questions that she answered within minutes. I have a couple of suggestions for an improved experience. First, it would be great to have a binder with more detail about the property — how to work the TV, how the thermostat works, etc. Maybe even some helpful details about points of interest in the community. Second, while we may have been unusual in our need to cook each night, the kitchen supplies are a bit spare — it could use: mixing bowls, baking sheet, oven-proof casserole dish, pasta/salad bowl, cheese grater and a spatula. Being local, we were able to schlep these from home, but a visitor might not be so fortunate.
