LINENS AND TOWELS PROVIDED

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Nice vacation rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was a solid spot for our family of four. Location is great - just a couple of blocks from the main drag, which made it easy to walk to shopping and food. The closet in the bunk bed room had several games and puzzles to play. Washer and dryer were extremely convenient to have at the house! The deck surface was rough and the screen doors did not stay closed when they were unlocked. Note that there was no gas grill, just a small charcoal one. Overall, these issues were not major enough to cause us to not want to stay here again.

Great Location!

The location was ideal!!! Walking distance to all the necessary shops, Dollar General, Wild Pony Donuts, Island Creamery, Grandma’s Waffles & Coffee. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4, everyone had their own room. The kitchen was a bit small but with some rearranging we were able to store our food in the cabinets. The fenced in yard was perfect to allow the dogs to get out and run around. I would stay again for sure!

Quaint property needs TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a very nice week at this house. The house was very clean with plenty of kitchen supplies. We enjoyed the screened porch on many occasions. The location was very convenient and was conducive to walking to Maddox for shopping and dining. However, although this is a pet friendly house with a “fenced yard”, I would caution a pet owner. The “fencing” is approximately 3 foot high. It is very loose and wobbly; in several spots it is even lying on the ground. A large dog could just step over the fence and a small dog would just walk out of the many gaps and openings. Also, the decks are very weathered and require maintenance. Do not walk on the deck barefooted. As I said, we really enjoyed our stay, and hope that this property receives the care and maintenance that it deserves.

Reviewer Comments: Overall house was nice! kitchen was small could have used better amenities/ utensils, gas grill was not usable didnt know that till after we arrived an had to call the office to find out master bath shower was usable but 2nd shower head was un usable/when we turned it on our first night couldn't get it to turn off an luckily has tools in our vehical to use to finally get it turned off after 1 hr of messing with it. Harbor Rentals was quick to send help but nothing could be done at that point to fix the issue..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very nice. Many minor repairs needed including weed removal. The sun porch really needed cleaned better. We spent an hour first day cleaning it. No gas for the grill and the grill available needs a stand next to it for spices and utensils. Other than that it was perfect. But you should place a guide for available TV channels.

Property is comfy. I would suggest making the info about bringing linens,toilet paper, towels,and soap more prominent in the description. Our bad that we didn’t read the finer print. Fortunately, we were able to rent from the property manager.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented many properties on the island, in comparing this house to others I would rate this 3 our to 5 stars. The layout of the house was great for our needs, location was excellent. Cons: no central air, bedrooms were warm which made sleeping rough and dryer was broken or entire stay. Thankfully I had family renting another house and was able to dry my clothes there one night.

Evans Island Stay

When we got to the Island, we had an easy check in. The property was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped. My family wanted to grill during the week, the burners were rusted out so we rigged up a grill with charcoal. The yard was large enough for our 2 medium size dogs. However, the grass was getting long and needed a mowing. The fence wasn’t very tall and needed a repair so I had to watch my 1 dog so she wouldn’t jump the fence. The screen in porch was very nice and the deck off of the porch was great to watch the fireworks and the sunsets. I would return to this property. We really enjoyed our week.

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful experience, the house for the most part met our expectations however the roll in shower was too small to fit my sons shower chair in so there is that and the fact that the floor was dirty with what looked like cracker pieces, nobody vacuumed and the table in the living room was dirty and the windows were dirty with smudges and childrens hand prints, on a good note the kitchen was clean as were the bathrooms. Overall I liked the house and will def. stay there again, I am sure management will make sure that the place is clean for the next guests.

Most the storage spaces are full leaving little to no space for the storage of food or cloths in bed rooms. We were able to accommodate our needs. The house was clean and no issues during our stay. The inside is has been nicely remodeled and provides a great open space living area. The exterior needs a little work and care, but we appreciated to fenced in area for our pet.Great location with walking access to downtown, Maddox Blvd., and shopping.Please note: when they state to bring your paper products, that means everything! There is no toilet paper in the house. Be sure to stop at the local store before arriving at the property.

Weekend Getaway

We were very happy with this house. The location is great, we biked almost everywhere we wanted to go. The house was very clean. You can tell the owners have done recent updates, fresh paint on walls, nice colors and decor. It's nice to stay somewhere that you can tell the owners likely come to enjoy it as well, more love shown in the house. Thanks for sharing with us!

Our stay at Shuckers Tump

Exterior maintenance was lacking. Needed paint job and grass had not been mowed. Weeds growing inside screened in porch. Handle in master shower did not work and after being repaired there was no water coming from the faucet. The shower had green stains on walls and grab handle.

Relaxing Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quaint . That’s how I’d describe Shuckers Tump. It is a place with character. Although it could use some updating, such as the living room carpet and the one bathroom, it was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on both enclosed porch and outside deck for morning coffee and evening wine. Fully equipped kitchen although we are out every night so we only used once to cook breakfast. Ample pots, pans, dishes, cups & glasses. It could use something to put the dish drain on since there is no dishwasher. I brought kitchen towels so I used one for dish drain. However, there is minimal space for clothes. One BR had dresser but not closet access; another had small closet that needed to be shared with things stored there but had no dresser; kids BR had minimal space for clothing at foot of bunk beds because closet was locked. I’d recommend access to closets . The yard was fenced in which made it easier for our dog to play. There was an issue with refrigerator leaking but I immediately called Harbour Rentals and was instructed what to do. The response from Harbour Rentals to questions was quick. It is an older house so expect some things to be dated. All in all though it was relaxing and comfortable. We’d visit the area again and likely do a different rental but through Harbour Rental for sure. PS: beds were very comfortable!
