Excellent location

We enjoyed our walks to town and the Ross Castle. It was a lovely quiet neighborhood and house. We would very much like to come back for another visit.

Wonderful stay in Kilarney

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood that is 15 minute walk to the center of Kilarney. I would definitely stay at this location again. Family of 6 was very comfortable.

Lovely vacation rental

This vacation rental is perfect! Comfortable beds, everything you need for a stay in Killarney with easy walking to both downtown and the national park. We loved the golf course near by - so pretty and unique with a racetrack through it. Would definitely book it again!

We were within a 10 minute walk to our two bus tours (Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula). Also, just across the street was the location for the Celtic Steps musical performance- Excellent! Lastly, the Ross Castle is a 20 minute walk as well. 👍

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed staying at this unit in Killarney. It was a great location - close to Ross Castle and the National Park and not too far of a walk into town. Beds were very comfortable and unit was very clean. Never expected temperatures in the 80’s so it was nice that each bedroom had a fan that could be used. Would definitely stay here again if we visited Killarney again.

Wonderful Home Base

Having a clean, warm, comfortable, spacious home to return to each day really made our visit to Killarney and the surrounding area much more relaxing and enjoyable. Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, we were able to easily walk to town. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We would love to return someday.

Lots of Space

After visiting Dublin and Belfast, it was appreciated how much space we had with this property for a family of four. Everything was clean and the communication was good. This is a great location to see the Killarney National Park.

Centrally located and awesome for families

Loved the yard for kids. Central location to Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Shower stall very small and we r not big people Thankful for washer and dryer although it does take time. Glad for clothes line out back. Overall excellent!

Everything was great. The bottle of wine to celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday was a lovely, unexpected added touch. It’s just a little too far for us to walk into town for the pubs. But the taxi service was dependable and reasonable. Very close to the beautiful Natl park

June 2012 Family of 5

Fantastic property in an unbelievable area. We were able to go jaunting through the gap of Dunloe, drive the Ring of Kerry, ride bikes through the national forest and explore the fantastic town of Killarney all from one centrally located comfortable home. This is the only way to vacation with kids and still relax as a family without the hotel price and B&B prices and pressures. John was as advertised, an excellent host with milk, bread and wine available when we arrived. This property is highly recommended and we hope to be back to stay again!

Absolutely the 'perfect' house and location for exploring the Killarney area!

This house couldn't have been better, both in location and comfort! The kitchen had all the comforts of home and even included a large refrigerator and washer and dryer! The house had been recently updated and was very clean and comfortable. I loved the fact that it is in a quiet area away from traffic but so close to Killarney town and Ross castle. It is surrounded by National Park and a great area for walking either in the park or into town. You can book your tours to Dingle, Ring of Kerry and Gap of Dunloe just down the street and Killarney town has great shopping and restaurants! Definitely would return to this location! Owner John King was so helpful answering questions and even took us to see where the grocery store was located. This is a house and location I would highly recommend!

Great Location

Listing shows house but for Americans this is a duplex and we expected a whole house. Everything was very clean with exception of few cob webs in windows which wasn’t a big deal to us. The heaters in each room worked but was definitely a learning curve lol. Beds were horribly hard, linens were very nice and comfy. The best thing about this place was the location. It was very close to the center of town and Ross Castle which if you are a runner or hiker is awesome. We had an issue with the hot water but was fixed the next day no worries. Overall it was a nice stay in a clean and safe neighborhood

Exceeded Expections in Every way!

We just got back from a wonderful week at this property. It really exceeded expectations in every way. The house itself was beautifully and tastefully furnished and impeccably clean. The large kitchen was completely updated and had a very nice seating area with French doors looking out to the lovely backyard. The bathrooms also had been recently updated to a very high standard. The property is situated in a very quiet residential area and is walking distance to the beautiful National Park and to the town center. John, the owner, is extremely helpful and welcoming. He really takes the time to talk with guests and answer all questions. I cannot say enough good things about our stay - we cannot wait to go back! Thank you, John.

Quiet and Wonderful Place to Stay

Since we weren't renting a car we looked for a suitable place to stay that was both close to town and away from the traffic and noise. This turned out to be perfect. It's a 10-15 minute walk into town on Ross Road or a 20-25 minute walk through the National Park which takes you across from St. Mary's Cathedral. The home is in a quiet, small neighborhood and is well appointed and very well taken care of. John met us, showed us around the house then took us on a short tour of the Killarney area pointing out pubs, restaurants, markets, etc. He really goes out of his way to help and make you feel welcome. Fresh fruit, bread, wine, milk and basics are provided to get you going. We spent two weeks in the Killarney area and never ran out of sights to see, trails to walk and bike on or tours to take. Just a wonderful and peaceful place to stay with a terrific host.

Rent It!

A friend and I rented this property for a week during Fall, 2013. John provided excellent directions for finding the meeting place and arrived there even a few minutes early. He then took us to the home and gave us a short orientation. A bottle of wine and a few groceries were left for us in the refrigerator, making it possible to avoid an immediate shopping trip. The home was very clean and comfortable. As you view the photos, know that what you see is what will be delivered. There's a working fireplace and the coffee table holds lots of materials to help decide what to see in the area. It's simply the complete deal. We enjoyed daily walks into the town center and exploring the Killarney National Park was a delight. The town, the park and Ross Castle are an easy walk from the house. Be sure to take in the Muckross Abbey, house and park. The Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula are great day trips, as is the charming town of Kenmare. There's plenty of good food to be had in and around Killarney. The beer is great and the pubs are fun places to spend an evening. In case you don't already know, the Irish are welcoming and very friendly, and your host John is no exception. Go! Immerse yourself; embrace the Irish and you will be enchanted by their wonderful spirit.

Magnifique maison cosy et au calme

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent dans cette maison. Elle est confortable, bien équipée, lumineuse, familiale, il y a tout ce dont on a besoin. Elle est trÚs bien située proche du centre et dans une voie privée trÚs calme. Nous sommes une famille de 5 et avons passé séjour vraiment excellent. La région est magnifique et il y a beaucoup de choses à faire au départ de Killarney.

Superbe maison proche centre killarney

3 couples d’amis. Avons passĂ© 3 nuits dans cette location. Trois belles chambres agrĂ©able. Maison lumineuse. Cuisine et salon apprĂ©ciable. Points nĂ©gatifs : pas de cintres dans les placards, ni de patĂšres dans les chambres. Pas de lave-linge et pas de lieu pour faire sĂ©cher le linge. Mais cela reste une maison trĂšs agrĂ©able, propre, amĂ©nagĂ©e avec goĂ»t. Je la recommande .
